Rabbit Title: Re: Chocolate peppermint slice Post by: Katie on Monday 01 May, 2006 Yum! What a great recipe!
Just curious though, is coconut water essential? We dont get fresh coconut water here in perth... well not that i know of anyway  Title: Re: Chocolate peppermint slice Post by: RawNaturopathJen on Monday 01 May, 2006 Katie - I found Trans Emporium on Newcastle street sells young coconuts wholesale or retail.
They supply my local Farmer Jacks supermarket in Subiaco with coconuts. Its these young coconuts that contain the beautiful, beneficial water! x Title: Re: Chocolate peppermint slice Post by: Sheryl on Monday 01 May, 2006 Coconut water is a nice addition to recipes that adds a little more depth to the taste. Juliano uses cucumber juice where ever water would usually be called for (for the same reason).
It's never essential, but always delicious. I'll leave it to the creator of this delicious recipe for the final word though! Cheers, Sheryl Title: Re: Chocolate peppermint slice Post by: Katie on Friday 05 May, 2006 Thanks Jen :)
I know where I'm going this weekend ^_^ Luv katie xox Title: Re: Chocolate peppermint slice Post by: Rabbit on Friday 05 May, 2006 ok, well as it's meant to be a creamy filling, If you don't have coconut water I would be going for a nut milk- probably almond. Not anything with too strong of a flavour as you want this tasting very definitely of PEPPERMINT!!
BTW my doorbell just rang- my RP order has arrived! So you know what that means- Choc Peppermint Slice for the picnic tomorrow!!! Hopefully I'll make it there?? with some slice left to share  Rabbit Title: Re: Chocolate peppermint slice Post by: Sheryl on Friday 05 May, 2006 I hope you save some!!! See you tomorrow!
