In a BBC documentary called “The Power of Nightmares“, Top CIA officials openly admit, Al-qaeda is a total and complete fabrication, never having existed at any time. 

The Bush administration needed a reason that complied with the Laws so they could go after “the bad guy of their choice” namely laws that had been set in place to protect us from mobs and “criminal organizations” such as the Mafia. 

They paid Jamal al Fadl, hundred’s of thousands of dollars to back the U.S. Governments story of Al-qaeda a “group” or criminal organization they could “legally” go after. 

If it is 100% true, then this is pretty mind-blowing stuff with long reaching and possible devastating consequences for the world in general.

What I find interesting it these types of movies are often seen as fringe or conspiracy but the whole thing becomes must more believable once a "trusted source" like the BBC start to question certain aspects of the war on terror.

And the CIA is often referred to as the Cocaine Import Agency, because they are one of the biggest importers of Drugs into America.

Mexico has had a number of CIA planes crash in Mexico etc that have had tonnes of Cocaine on board.  The Mexicans even siezed a DC9 full of Cocaine.

Two Mirrors  ~Retelling of a story by Hans Christian Andersen

Satan always takes great delight in creating confusion.  To help him do this better, he once had a special kind of mirror made.  This mirror shrank the reflections of all the good and beautiful things in the world, and it enlarged all the bad and ugly things.

Satan took great pleasure in going round the earth, holding this mirror in front of people's eyes, until there was not a single land, or a single person who had not seen this distorted view of the world.

One day, Satan was laughing so much over the trouble this mirror had already caused that it slipped out of his hand and shattered into thousands and millions of tiny fragments.  And a great storm blew up and carried these fragments to every corner of the world.

Some of the fragment were as small as grains of sand. They lodged in people's eyes, and from then on, these poor people could only see the bad things in the world.  The good things shrank until they were almost invisible. Other fragments were gathered up, over the years, and made into glasses, and when people wore these glasses, they could never see anything in its proper perspective again.

God was very sad when he saw how damaged people's vision had become, and how so many of them could only see the bad things around them, and had lost sight of all that was good and beautiful.  He had an idea for putting everything right again.  "I know what I will do," he thought to himself. "My Son is the image of me, he is my true reflection. I will send him into the world. He will reflect my goodness and my justice, and show the world how I long for it to be."

So Jesus became a mirror for God's people. He reflected God's goodness out to the world, even to thieves and frauds, and to those whom the world despised.  He reflected courage and confidence into the hearts of the sick and despairing. He reflected comfort to those in grief, and trust to those whose hearts were crippled by fear.

Many people recognised God's mirror, and followed Jesus.  They loved and trusted him.  But others were jealous, and felt their own power threatened by the love of God. In the end, they could tolerate him no longer.  They plotted against Jesus and killed him.  They shattered God's mirror.

And a great storm blew up.  It blew millions of fragments of God's mirror to every corner of the world, and it continues to do so today.  These fragments lodge in the eyes of many, many people, and whenever this happens, they are able to see God's world again, just as Jesus saw it.  The beauty and goodness of God's creation and God's people are the main thing they see, and then they realise that the bad and the ugly are only transient and can be overcome.

I suppose it depends on your nature.

I find conspiracy theories drain my energy and I avoid them whenever possible.

However, my husband gets very hyper and excitable about them, they seem to energise him.

The only reason I know about most of them, is my husband insists on telling me about them.

Anyway, my original post about “The Power of Nightmares“ documentary is NOT actually a conspiracy theory.

.......although the conspiracy theorists have been talking about the very same subject for years.

The BBC is classed as highly respected journalism and I very much doubt they would ever report something as factual without fully checking their sources first. I think the documentary has won some awards.

good point about the bbc, however if the bbc reported something that went against the consiracy theorist thoughts then the bbc are part of the conspiracy... thats more my point that its an endless spiral... we all know that bin laden was trained by the cia, they openly admit it.. bush's family have finacial ties to his family etc.etc.etc.etc

but knowing it affects no positive change.. the reality is there are allot of what we'd call evil people out there, but there always will be and we can only change what we can influence.. beyond that its out of our hands unless of course you are apart of a bigger organization.etc.. but its up to all of us individually and ultimatly were we put our energys.. so good luck with that..

Not denying any of the other stuff....I don't think any of us will every REALLY know.... but, I'd be weary of the Zeitgeist movie. When my husband and I were watching the first part we decided they hadn't really done their research and they'd twisted things to suit them. We did a bit of research after watching it and there are a few people who have pointed out their dodge research and reporting ~

I'm with Les on this (can relate to etc).

You can only influence what you can influence. And the only place to ever start is in the mirror.

That being said it could be argued that being made aware of conspiracies is a good thing whether you can be an influence or not. Awareness is a good thing...and as a now-deceased friend of mine used to say..."paranoia is total awareness"....

The problem with conspiracy theories is twofold:

1) Theree's so many around it can become a detrimental hobby and unhealthy focus.

2) The line between "conspiracy theories" and actual well-proven conspiracies is often blurred by lumping both into the same basket.

I choose to look at it all this way...say many conspiracy theories are true....it doesn't matter what particular instrument or government dept. or whatever was implicated or had fingers pointed in their direction it all stems from a single end source.

I've got enough faith in our creator (term as you will) that he/she/it knows what it's doing and all of this is simply part of a process (necessary or not is debatable but who gives a rubber-duck we are in in the process like it or not..that's a pretty much undeniable reality regardless of what any of us choose to believe).

I reckon if the Universe needs my services to go out and fight evil I'll be notified by e-mail in due-course (be a reall bugga tho if my anti-spam filter caught it). At the moment I'm fairly pre-occupied though dealing with my own issues (charity starts at home kinda thing) but hey...if the email came I'd step up to the plate.

Despite numerous emails with questions of…….”what religion do you represent” and other similar questions, have been totally and utterly ignored.

Why won’t and why don’t they answer my (very polite) questions???

Or do I REALLY need to answer that one.

To me, http://zeitgeistchallenge.com, is a bunch of (scared / confused / fundamentalist) Christians grasping at straws whilst trying to scare people away from watching the movie.

Happy to be proved wrong, so I will keep trying to get an answer from them.

Everyone I personally know, LOVE the message and ideals of Zeitgeist. I don't agree with everything they say but overall I loved it too. I even know of a nine year old boy who says Zeitgeist is the best film he has ever seen.

What Zietgeist the Movie was trying to expose is that much of Religion is based on sun worship which is a provable Fact.

You just have to look at the history of the symbology used by many Religions to see that much of religion is based on sun worship.

I think saying that Jesus never existed may have been going too far, but each to their own.  What's really important is how Religion has been used to manipulate the masses into Wars etc.

I think an important distinction needs to be made between Spirituality and Religion.  If anyone wants to have a spiritual experience, just do a juice fast/feast for a couple of weeks.

I don't necessarily agree with some of the conclusions that these videos make, but some of the research into the history of the symbology used in Religion and our governments etc is truly fascinating.

there are always people grasping at straw, hoping on half truths, wishing on stars, looking for fairies and sitting with garden knomes(sp?).

the thing is for me is to find a personal truth... i've siffted through allot of stuff and go with what i feel rather than what i'm told, whether its my buddhist mates christian mates or muslim mates or athiest mates or fellow jedi's LOL!.. whats most important to me is what i feel. as long as what i feel is positive i'm with it. now thats not just positive thinking, thats positive living to me. there is allot of consideration and meditation that comes with that etc.. sorry i'm getting board with listening to myself :crazy: :sos:

thankfully part 12 and 13 were along with what i feel, tho i had researched the rest years ago, but like conspiracy theory's i just had to move on as it makes you live in a state of fear.
