Hello, Here I am! Miss me?
Sorry to have been out of commission but after my huge weekend, I fell in a ditch Tues & yesterday with sore back/neck & migraine, while still being at work. consequently not feeling up to reading/composing much... sorry! I missed You all!
welll where to start?
Saturday was such a fun day; I had an awesome early beach walk, 5:45-6:30am Chi-walking and -running I'm getting better at it... then got organised and off I went to BrisVegas. Stopped along the way to investigate an organic shop at Forest Glen I'd heard of; Natural Foodstore. Wow! Had to set a 15min alarm on my watch to not get too carried away or I'd be late to the Picnic.
The picnic itself was lovely. The wonderful Jen (and family) and I were the first ones there! (wonder-of-wonders in my case! ) Jen, I felt a sense of déja vú meeting You... spooky but cool! I've posted more in the April Brissy Picnic thread...
The time went so fast; it wasn't long before I had to head off for home again, as I was catching up with my Melbs mate, Karl, Sat night. It wasn't a late one tho.
Sunday; up at 4:00am to be ready for the 5:30 Easter Day Dawn Service (I'm Lutheran) on top of Mt Timbeerwah... Karl was keen so I dragged him along. It was FREEZING! I even had my longjohns (merino, IceBreaker brand) thick jacket, thermals and beanie on, and was still cold! Don't like that at all!
Anyway, the service went well, complete with 'a capella' hymns sung in time and in tune amazing really! It was a spirit-lifting time; storm clouds roiling overhead, wind gusting, few specks of rain, sunlight filtering through the black clouds over the distant ocean.... very atmospheric!
*sigh* ...just breathing myself back there in my imagination... so peaceful...
Then, we thoroughly investigated and experienced the Farmers markets. Normally I zip around as I go before church on Sunday, but since we'd already been, we could take our time and taste-test... and taste-test we did! It was lovely, and so much fun! Especially to have the time to chat properly with the stallholders/growers. Enjoyed the morning very much!
My afternoon passed in a looong fit of ZzZzZs! 3 hours' worth, actually. Felt sooo decadent; perfect cool rainy arvo for snoozing, I reckoned! And caught up with mates again to watch the DVD Independence Day. I know it's old, but I'd not seen it. Enjoyed that, too! Except it ended up being a late night.
Must go to lunch now, will continue afterwards. XOX JJ

FINALLY made it here!
Good day to all You beautiful rawbies, I'm baaaack! Been dealing with a sore spine/neck and migraine the last few days while still soldiering on at work, so haven’t felt super-lively… I’m sorry :-(
Wow... trying to catch up on all that's been happening since Friday on here... the forum's been going full-tilt!!!
Firstly, WHAT a fun day was Saturday??? It was such fun meeting everyone in real life!
Jen-with-"the-hottie-husband", You're a star, so warm and groovy and I love Your work, girl! how gorgeous is Your family too? You are one lucky lady... and thank You for the compliments too... I'm grinning so hugely! and Your pasta with pesto and spicy oranges were scrumptious indeed...
(And I can totally sympathize with the shyness-factor; in my case I've gone from being a former total-bookworm who couldn't say Boo! to a flea, to morphing into a mildy-chatty hairdresser and now am in a tourism job, Front Desk, where I don't shut-up all day, talking to strangers! but still have that initial built-in shyness I have to deliberately put aside. Weird, eh?)
Rita Thank You for the compliment also; I apologize that I didn't chat more with You and Your husband also; Initial group shyness strikes again! I hope that You both enjoyed the picnic, and I'll either be at the next picnic or I'll be at Don Tolman's Bootcamp For Brains... so if I'm picnicking, be prepared... You'll be pounced on!
Blythe, wow, You're an amazing artist (I've checked out HarpStruck.. ) and I totally enjoyed meeting and talking with You! You have such a vivid energy about You... and such yummmmmy recipes too I'll be trying out that delish dessert recipe soon... mmmm, should've definitely moved faster to nab more of that on Saturday, methinks!
Rabbit It was lovely to meet You and Your family; and Your crackers were delicious indeed! In fact I think they may've been addictive.. I know that they kept calling me back again & again
Sheryl and Piers it was fantastic to finally meet You both! You're both so lovely and warm; I hope that You are so proud of all You've achieved in Raw Pleasure, to get everyone 'connected' with like-minded folk, and the growth that entails... the mind boggles! Piers, after chatting with You re: my old blender being blown up, I shorted out my VitaMix on Sunday making fudge! I reckon I jinxed myself! Thank Heaven I was able to get hold of the lady I bought it from, who told me to hit the button cunningly hidden underneath the base and it should reset itself... yay, it did!
Now, can't wait for the next picnic!
Have a marvellous day, all Ye on the RawPath!
Much love
JJ the peaceful Elf

Hi Jen-with-the-hottie-husband, sorry to take so long to get back on deck! (Haven't been too flash yesterday&today, hence green writing=am feeling green!)
I totally enjoyed finally meeting warm-sparkling-vivacious-You in person on Sat, and all Your lovely family; You are one lucky lady! Your dishes were deeelicious too; if You were wondering where the zucchini pasta disappeared to... well.. *guilty elf with hand raised* heheheh!
Your talks sounds verrrrry intriguing! I would love to be a fly on the wall... maybe if I wish hard enough... but I don't really wanna be a fly though. Hmm. (Sorry random thought pattern; I'm in "lights-are-on-but-nobody's-home" state. )
Much lervvv & hugs to You, Gorgeous Jen

(Yes I'm green today; feelin green about the gills, that is.. but still @ work, soldiering on..)
Yay, both of You in throwing down the gauntlet, so to speak
John, I quit smoking eight weeks' ago Monday just gone, using the EasyWay book. I found it so truly easy; no willpower necessary at all even though my boyfriend (at the time) and his mates all smoked. The best bit (from a smoker's perspective) is that Allen tells you to keep smoking while you read the book... I passed the book on, and bought another to pass on too and now several mates are free of the life-sucking prison too.
Jen, that smoothie sounds deeelicious, but after talking to Piers on Sat re: blowing up my old blender, I jinxed myself & have now killed my VitaMix  so will try Your smoothie once it's back on deck...
Much love to You, John, for Your journey

Supposed to finish at 5... i'm still going.
Sooooooo looking forward to tomorrow! Yay! something bright to focus on...

Oh, cool, thank you for the piccie, GorgeousJen! I'm sorry the juice churned up Your poor tummy.. I hope You're feeling better today? Yes, definitely sip it slowly, and have water too as You say... VERY cleansing I lerrrrrvvvv Your idea of tormenting the chef... he's a youngster, (23) but definitely has a sense of humour so he wouldn't get offended... mwahahahahaah!!
I can't believe I'm gonna meet You (and Shery & Piers, and everyone in Bris) tomorrow... WOO-HOO! *happy-dancin' elf!* (..behind reception counter... gotta entertain the guests!! ) Imagine we organised a roadtrip to visit everyone else one day... now that'd be totally rawsome!
May, You wonderful lass, I'm glad You got the good David! and the echoes of me I hear in Your description of the younger You are uncanny... I grew up the oldest of 5 so responsible beyond my years, a total bookworm with no knowledge of how to interact with people! Now ya can't shut me up once I get going... 'specially on raw... heheheheh! ... this Cancerian thing is intriguing! are You sure You're not my longlost sister???
Hello Sandy! Pleased to 'meet' you, come and join in the fun! We'll have to try the ginger in the next batch of Cabala juice.. sounds a tasty tangy blend thank you for the idea!
Weeeeelll, today got off to a lazy start, only got down the beach at 6:45 which is late for me, and just chi-walked for the hour.. (like chi-or-barefoot-running but at a slower pace..ta, Rudolf)but forgot to do my 5 Tibetan Rites.. yet to become a habit, I guess... I'll do them tonight instead. But I did my body-brushing so I still feel good. I didn't end up having BathBlissNyt; I crashed out super-early instead.. the thought of even running a bath was too hard!
Tonight will be BathBlissNyt instead, and an early nyt to get ready for the pick-a-nick tomorrow... YAAY!
Today's Eats so far: 1 rocky, blended 10 ladyfinger narnies 1kg thompson grapes & 150g babyspinach GS Later I have more narnies and 5 kiwis to snack on, then a huge'n'juicy salad planned 4 tonight; roma toms, leb cukes, celery, capsicum, spinach, button mushies & chive/basil/OJ dressing... mmmm!
much love to my raw beauties! (that includes You guys, too)

Oh, Jenhoney, I think the juice may've actually be designed for detox-fasting on.... oops sorry! In Don's FDR book, he mentions using it for 14-21 day fasts.. yikes! If you can face it anymore, just sip it little by little ....
It's gone down beautifully with me today, but I've only had 1.5L of that plus water; Oh I hope You're not feeling too yucky!!! :-( and... yeah, it would probably go really nicely with vodka... if one was that way inclined!
I'm gonna have more when I get home. So far it's staved off my cravings today and stopped me falling in my fatty-food-at-4 hole... Yay!
Much love & gentle hug to not upset tender tummy!

Wow, ZoomingPrincess, You always leave my head spinning with Your busy, busy schedule! You are phenomenal!
And Yay, You! re: those dresses fitting You again.. woo-hoo, new dress-up clothes are always fun! I wish I could wear the feminine things You do... I just look funny even in a skirt with no hair...
...although...
Hehehe... for a laugh, i wore my red patent 4" heels to Karaoke last night... I'm 6'2" in them! It's hilarious! I tower over all my mates... does wonders for the self-esteem too, even tho I can hardly walk in 'em! Gives my mates laughter-material, at least i wore 'em with black jeans&singlet. Too funny!
Your decision to allow Yourself to have nuts/seeds at the Retreat sounds like a gentle way of handling the issue... very elegantly done! Definitely saves the inner debate/bashing up!
I love visiting Your journal, PrincessBee, You brighten everywhere You touch! **Hugs** to you!
Much love

Oh Jenbabe, yeeeeee-hah! see, "I tole You so!" mwahahahahah! would I lie to You, my Raw compadré? You can thank Don for that one!
Yes, make Bill wait til it'll do him max good... and by then he'll be hangin' to chug it down and You can sneakily get him .... addicted... *evil smirk*
I've got juuuust enough ingredients left to make ½ a batch when I get home tonight, so that'll be my beverage while lolling in the bath... *sigh* Bliss!
If you wanna post a piccie so anyone else can drool (figuratively) over the rich, brightly-colour-saturated nectar that is Don Tolman's Cabala juice... please do! That'd be great, because I'm unable to
Enjoy Your Juice!
Much love n *hugs*
