Hello,
They say that there are no silly questions, so here goes... how does one make naturally sun dried tomatoes? (not using a dehydrator) I've got the tomatoes, and I've got the sun - but how do I protect them from critters etc? Do I just cut them in half, and pop them on a tray in the sun with glad wrap on them?
I thought I would use cherry tomatoes, but at some stage would love to use bigger ones. How long will they take to be dried (my head tells me it could be a long process). Also, when they are done, do I just store them as they are in the fridge? I know shop bought ones are in oil - is that necessary?
How long will they last in the fridge - ie how can I ensure I always have some on hand.
So many questions!!! Thank you for your patience - I really need 'the idiot's guide to sun drying your own tomatoes'.

Sydney is blessed with the most exquisite day today - blue blue skies (hooray!). I hope it is scrumptious in your neck of the woods too...
