Ah yes, but Yogananda is an adept when it comes to a swift "mike stand up the jaxie!"

We're between two eclipses at the moment - so Mr Cainer tells me.  laugh

It's a tricky business isn't it, this human malarkey!

Yogananda is still with you.  Pretty soon he'll be centre stage after grabbing that microphone from Axl and wrestling Slash for his top hat!

Sweet dreams.

It's been a tough week on a personal level and I did not rise to the challenge.

You employed a strategy Jen, that may not have been optimal - but you certainly rose to the challenge.  There are times when we can, with steely determination, stare down our challenges, and times when we take a more circuitous route.  Neither is either right, nor wrong - just different.

So, I was avoiding a certain type of pain, I ate a certain type of food to avoid it and in turn, created more of the same pain I was avoiding!

I've done that very thing.  I have been distressed, and with absolute intention, tried to smother the anguish with heavy cooked carb-fuelled meals, only to have the "remedy" not work!  So I have cried, eaten and then sobbed with twice the ferocity.  It happens sometimes.

While I certainly do believe that what we eat can create emotions, I too believe that our perception is equally important.  So that, if we judge what we have done as "bad" or "weak" or whatever, then the emotion itself will be weighted with this judgement.

We really must stop feeling guilty about slip-ups or having eaten something that is perhaps less optimal.  It is so important to accept and love ourselves as human beings who may sometimes err, but are always (deep down) perfect in every respect.

p.s.  Blame those pesky planetary shifts!  Don't blame yourself.   smiley

Pinky - the book is called "I Am Grateful".  It's under the recipe books - about the second one on the list.

Hope that helps!

Seeds & all (for me) when I do it.  That's when I am lucky enough to find seeded watermelon.

The ground up seeds sink to the bottom and can easily be danced around.  I've drunk them at times, and it's just a bit gritty, that's all.

I have a lot of patience - but not enough to actually remove the seeds from the watermelon before blending.  laugh

Ditto what Jen says - all ways are ok.  laugh

I don't know if I could bring myself to juice a watermelon.  I personally don't include the rind, but it can be done.

I just throw the (peeled) cut up melon into the blender with a peeled and cut up lime (or the juice of a lime).  If you throw a little zest of the lime in too - it is heavenly.

There is just something so refreshingly beautiful about the watermelon/lime combo.  In summer, it is one of my absolute fave drinks.  Just scrumptious.
24  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Happy Birthday Joss on: Sunday 03 August, 2008
Miss Joss,

Wishing you a very very happy birthday.  I hope you are spending a lovely day with Judith, your kids and grand children.  (and Inky!)

I miss you.

But, don't let that stop you from kicking up your heels and having a glorious time today.

Lots of love,
Michelle

This will be of keen interest to John (Oxygen2).  Jen will easily clear the links for you, if you pm her.

Emi,

I was so so delighted to read your penultimate post here - such wonderful news, and a credit to your unswerving dedication, focus and faith in healing yourself.

At the time that I read it, a few days ago - I was going to post a quote.  But it didn't seem appropriate, and I looked further afield, and bounced from it to Rumi to Kahlil Gibran ... all over the place really.  I bounced so much, that I posted nothing.

But now, I will post the words that I was initially reminded of when I read your post, whether I think they are apt or not...

...all those impulses of love return to the love that made them.  Even memory is not necessary for love.  There is a land of the living and a land of the dead, and the bridge is love, the only survival, the only meaning.

Today i went to my fruit shop and guess what??? They have decided to bring back the watermelon with seeds. Faaaaaaaaaabulous!! So I bought one and I'm going to have it for dinner. With lime juice.

Yum!  Watermelon whizzed with lime juice is one of the BEST drinks on the planet, in my humble opinion.  Truly scrumptious.

Oh, and I hope that your jaxie feels better soon.  laugh

Are you really going to paint your hair blonde?

Here's something to add to the list.... make a fruit salad chia pudding!  I just had one for dinner, and it's such a happy meal.  laugh

1/3 cup of chia soaked overnight in the juice of one orange + water
Into the blender with 1 x banana, 4-5 large strawberries, big handful of ripe pineapple, and the pulp of 1 passionfruit

Scrumptious.

I hope things continue on the up & up Jen.  I really think there are some big planetary shifts around at the moment, maybe in the lead up to the eclipse?  I feel a bit edgy too.

Gosh, I laughed.

Jaxie is an awesome word - it is yours to use with relish.  I pinched it myself from a friend who also writes.  All artists are thieves!

Personally, I'd like to see the word jaxie move from the urban dictionary to the Oxford.  laugh
