I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story here. I love your openness, and I am so thankful to you!

Thanks everyone!

Yes, I do have some emotional issues to deal with. I lost both of my parents in the same month back in 2001. That still gets me down. Working on that...

I'm thinking of doing an orange juice diet for a week or so. I tend to feel so much better when just drinking juice, I never feel fatigued after it. Maybe I'll eat a salad at night. Do you think this might be a good idea? Or just go with the orange juice only?
I've never done it before.

Thanks again everyone! Have a great day!

Hi Michaela
I usually eat about 10 bananas in the AM and I do eat lots of nonsweet fruits with my salad. Then sometimes even more bananas! I do think I'm getting enough calories, but I'm not really sure!
Thanks for the help!

Hi everyone!
Thanks so much for your suggestions. I was exercising for like 4 hours per day, plus working full time. I was rarely sleeping, and this just put too much on my body. I walk at work all day, so I'm still getting some exercise. I guess it's my body just healing?
I'm 5'3" and weigh about 140 lbs now. I used to be down to 110 lbs, which was perfect for me. I've never ever been this heavy before (even when eating nothing but junk food and not exercising). None of my clothes fit me at all.

Typical days food and exercise:
AM bananas or oranges (I don't digest apples and grapes well)
Walk around at work all day (I'm a school teacher)
PM salad with lettuce/tomato/celery
maybe some more bananas if I'm still hungry

Any other thoughts? THANK YOU!

6  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Gaining too much weight on 811 on: Thursday 27 December, 2007
I've been doing 811 since Jan. of 06. At first I lost weight. Then even though I was working out like crazy, I started gaining weight (esp. in the midsection). Dr. D recommended stopping the exercise due to adrenal fatigue. I've stopped exercising, and I continue to follow 811 without ever eating any overt fats. Problem is - I'm at my highest weight ever. Even if I severely cut back on calories, my weight stays the same. Then I end up really craving nuts, seeds, fat, etc. Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions?
Thank you!

This happens to me with grapes. I believe it is because our digestion is not yet perfect (from years of imperfect habits). Dr. D says that it will likely improve with time.

My hubby and I are headed to a few cities in Europe this summer: London, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam... are there any raw restaurants in any of these cities? Any great outdoor markets to find fresh fruits and veggies? Please give me some recommendations... Thanks!

Thanks everyone! I'm really trying hard not to get back where I started (meaning I'm resting enough now). Getting 10 hours of sleep and waking up whenever I feel like it. Only walked for exercise today, but will continue with the intense workouts tomorrow. Thanks, again, for the support.
13  Go RAW! The Testimonial Section! / RAW Journals - Your RAW Experiences / AFTER my 24 day water fast... on: Sunday 08 July, 2007
Well, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who supported me on my 24 day water fast. It ended last week, and I thought I should post an update. My digestion is absolutely perfect (after taking it slow for a week or so).  I have more energy and vitality than I have had in a really long time. I am back to exercising an hour a day (jogging, jumping jacks, pushups, situps, squats, lunges, etc.). The exercise isn't easy, but it isn't supposed to be and it'll take awhile to develop my cardio and strength again. So, all in all, it was totally worth it and I'd do it again in a heart beat. Thanks, again, everyone for your support. It was so nice to know that I could come on this board everyday and get the support I needed. Hopefully my adrenal fatigue is gone forever!!!

 Love, Tammy

Hello
Thanks, again, everyone for the support!

Berrybliss...anyone can do it...but I couldn't have done this without the supervision of Doug Graham. He is so knowledgeable and helpful. So, I would get yourself a good fasting coach or supervisor for sure.

So, Day 23...
Feeling okay. Tired. I'm actually really nervous about eating tomorrow. Doug told me it is so important not to eat more than a few bites. I hope I can do that. I hope I don't get sick. I'm just really scared. Less than 24 hours to go. I'm so excited to leave my house again though. I'm getting a little bored around here. . . ; )

Love to all.

Day 22
Doug would not let me quit. I just love him. He is so supportive. I'm almost through another day. Now I just have to get through tomorrow. Nothing really new to report today. I'm craving SAD foods. I wonder if that's normal. Hmmm...I just can't wait to dig into my melon.
Love, Tammy
