Thanks for all of the imput!!. I have a friend who has implimented the CHIRUNNING  program and has improved her running.  So far this year, at age 42 she has won 7of 8 races from 5k to 50k.  She is on fire right now!!
Yes I am a vegan chef/raw foods chef.  I am going to apprentice at the Tree of Life center in Arizona for 3.5 months.  I plan to be a full time raw chef in just a few weeks.  I think the mostimportant thingto do right now is get lotsof rest and make sure I stretch daily.
5  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Fitness & Health / "Running" into problems on: Friday 11 May, 2007
I am new to running,(1 year June 1st), and have had much success in a short time.  With the help of going raw, I have run 1 marathon and currently training for 2nd trail marathon.  I have completed a 50k at 5hrs3minutes, as well as numerous races from 5k to 16 miles.  I am totally into the sport and find I am getting better with each race.
Problems are starting to occur.  One of the problems is the fact that I work 55-60 hrs a week and squeezing in a training run, sometimes up to 4 hrs is tough.  I sleep 5-6hrs a night and arrive at work by 4:30 am.  I am a chef and eat well.  I know I need more sleep because I am physically exausted.  Plus the lack of stretching has tightened up my legs so much.  Before running I had a great yoga practice, but when the running got more intense I had to stop going to classes.  Most of the runners I train with never stretch, so I usually skip that part.  Not Good!!   I am worried that if this keeps up I will just get injured and be out for a while, which I definetly don't want to happen.
Any motivating words of wisdom??

Well Done Bro!!
I just competed in a 50k in Maryland, USA.  After a full day of rain and 400+ runners, the terrain was slow and muddy.  I finished in 5hrs and 3 minutes place 47th and ran on water, bananas, and dates blended!! At 15 miles I drank 8oz of celery+water+banana for anti cramping purposes and it worked well.
Thanks to everybody for their imput.  I have learned alot and am proving that raw/vegan fruits and veggies work best for endurance!!
