17  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: how do you beat the cravings? on: Tuesday 03 April, 2007
I find that craving the sort of food I do is not really helpful to me ie. a whole box of chocolates is not going to nourish me etc.  I'm trying to give myself instant gratification by gobbling them down (I barely enjoy them!!!)....this often happens if I'm feeeling down.  So I do things I enjoy such as dancing or watching a funny movie.  My hormones in my body change to feel-good ones and that craving goes too.

Really interesting posts PB.......I've always been interested in the sex industry.  Just curious are there many or any sex activists that have never been in the industry before?
I think there are alot of people out there who don't understand it..........so perhaps it would be valid to learn about it to understand it.  This forum is probablly not the right place to discuss it but certainly like to find out more!!!

Perhaps there's a forum out there on Natural Cancer Treatments where you can meet people who've dealt with this dilemma?
21  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Travelling O/S vaccinations on: Tuesday 03 April, 2007
I can't give you personal feedback but I did have a work colleague who mentioned she used homeopathic in India.  Her father is also an MD so I'm sure if she felt that normal vaccinations were best she would have had them.   She also mentioned that her mother had vaccinations and was sick on the trip and she was fine....

Could the itchiness between the toes be Tinea.....Huh  My husband has suffered this in the past and finds the following to clear it up - soaking it in a bucket of warm water with epsom salts and then applying the Purification Essential oil by www.youngliving.com.au.

Good Luck with it  smiley cheesy

Hey PrincessBee.....it's sad to hear about your friend but it's fortunate that she's caught it in the earlier stages to begin doing something about it sooner.

I'm sure you've been searching online too but came across these websites.....

http://www.cancertutor.com/Cancer/RawFood.html

http://www.healingcancernaturally.com/nutrition4.html

http://www.2-life.com/site/bkpg.htm (advertising curing cancer health books......Huh)

http://www.louisehay.com/ (cured her cancer with positive thinking/affirmations etc)

I've read/heard stories on people curing cancer/sickness with raw diets.  I worked with a lady who had a brain tumour.  She was so frightened and sick of chemo (literally) that she changed her diet (lots of carrot juice she turned yellow) and went and saw a spiritual advisor who saw her through this time.

There are also health retreats that specialise in treatments.  I remember reading an article in Healthy Options about a family who took their daugther to the uk for natural treatment and the medical board took them to court because they were "endangering their daughters life" etc.

There is also a man who lives up on the Sunshine Coast who had 6 months to live (found out he was dying from Asbestos) and turned to a raw diet and excercise and is now fighting fit.......that was many years ago.

These are only a couple of examples off the top of my head but there are more out there.  One thing too is that sickness can be caused by both diet and emotional reasons so perhaps is a good idea to look into Louise Hays book.

On Sunday night there was a doco on children with cancer being treated by chemo.  It just showed the horrors of what it does to your body and must be a difficult decision for anyone to make......

I wish your friend all the best and believe she can cure herself!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Ipswich.......a much quieter town to BrisVegas (Thank Goodness) !!!  Anyhow Brisbane offers alot......latin street dancing, lots of interesting alternative (and non-alternative) shops, beaches are relatively close, lots of yummy restaurants/cafes but i have never eaten out as a raw-vegan.....in West End you might find something???, camping, rock climbing, sailing, nice parks to just laze about in the sun or walk by the river, arty farty things to do (i'm into that), we could make a film of your adventures hehehe (I'm also into films), nightclubs (if you're into that), bands playing etc etc......

What I'll do is check out what's on and send it your way if you like.

Wouldn't you say it's westerners who actually contribute to worsening people's circumstances in these sort of countries....don't we have some sort of responsibility to improve it???  The people selling Pepsi (a Western organisation) for eg.  In reality it would be better to be selling fresh water and a banana to customers.  However they earn a living from Pepsi (a small ammount I'm sure)....which puts food on the table at the end of the day!!!!

There are so many complex layers to these issues on what is the right or wrong thing to do.........
29  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Raw Pregnancy and Kids / Re: foreskin problems! on: Tuesday 03 April, 2007
How's your little man going now?  My son who is the same age had the same problem about 4 weeks ago (very painful).  I'm into essential oils so I used a purification blend that consists of citronella, lemongrass, rosemary, melaleuca alternifola, lavandin and myrtle......I mixed that down 50% with organic olive oil.  I applied this approx every 1hr and did the trick.  Salt water is great too (as mentioned above  cheesy ) and I would clean the area every hr too with that.  Today he has a sore eye and I'm using the salt water to fix that......he has gone to school but normally I would do that every hour also until it heals too.......oh the miracle of salt!!!!
