Hi there, well Alegne, James was my fifth baby and I was high raw during my pregnancy which was most of the time probably about 90% raw. I did get morning sickness in the form of nausea (not vomitting thank goodness) for the first few weeks, which I didn't have with the others and James was a lot bigger than my others also who ranged from 5.10lbs to 7lbs so that was a major difference. Basically I felt much more in control of my emotions especially in the latter half and feel I have helped to grow a beautiful healthy boy. Well I'm still going strong here, my energy has returned and I'm feeling almost human again, yeh. Have cravings for sweet things right now, so dates are high on my food intake. Eating lots and lots of greens and still keeping up with my flax 'happy drink' every day. I'm trying to cut back a bit on tomatoes at present too. I watched a DVD the other day and the guy on it said people shouldn't try and cut things out of their diet to become more raw they should just add more and more raw foods and eventually the urge to eat the raw will overcome the cooked, how good is that and how simple, this is what I've been doing with my older kids and it does seem to work. Ok, time is of the essence right now, take care and bye for now Jeanette

Hi there, thank you all so much for the congratulations, James is a little sweetie, so content and almost serene.
I'm feel great (still a little tired, but that comes with the territory), so glad to be back to my lovely salads. The hospital food was totally vegan so that was good but it wasn't raw but my dad stocked me up with beautiful fruits while I was there (yeh dad). For vegan food the hospital did a wonderful job so I can't really complain. Wonderful to be back and able to move around comfortably again and bend in the middle.
Have lost about 10kgs so I'm now lighter than when I first fell pregnant so that's good. It will take me a little time to get completely back in shape and I'm not rushing things because it is important to eat a healthy diet while feeding (which I do) but sometimes you get really ravenous (sp?) and eat lots, but that's ok, all in good time.
Once again thank you for your kind words and I will keep in touch.
Isn't it humid here in Queensland?
Bye for now

Just a quickie, thank you all for sending good vibes my way because it worked, my beautiful little boy JAMES MURRAY B..... was born totally naturally at 12.52am 3.2.06 after a 9 hour labour.
Everything is perfect, he weighed 8.5lbs (ouch) and was 55cm long (a big little man) and in perfect health.
Came home yesterday and feeling great apart from tiredness.
Bye for now

Hello all, just a quick update, I'm still waiting and it's Feb, they have booked me in for an induction tomorrow (10 days late) so I'm a little unhappy not to have gone naturally like the others and a little scared too.
Hubby says I need to eat bacon and pork spare ribs to let it slide out, lol, he says it's enjoying my food too much in there and doesn't want to vacate the premises.
My health is wonderful and so is the baby's, it just doesn't want to move. It is still high in my uterus and if the water breaks there is a chance the cord could get trapped by the head and that could cause some problems so they want me in hospital to get this labour moving and be close in case something should need doing. I've said all along I'll do things the natural way but should I need intervention for the safety of the baby then so be it after all that's the good side of the medical industry isn't it. It's just the medication in my body thing that I'll have to deal with afterwards I guess.
Ok, take care and I'll post again when it's all over and I'm home again.
Bye for now

Hi there all, thanks for your well wishes and yes I am still waiting for baby to arrive, any day now. Boy this last week has been hard, very boring stuck at home not being able to go out too much. I can't drive too far at present because my belly hits the stearing wheel and if I put the seat back I can't reach the peddles, lol. Well I'm feeling very healthy if not somewhat very large. I've put on 5-6kgs all up so I'm quite pleased with this and this is remembering that I was a bit overweight to begin with so here's hoping that by the time I have the baby I'll have lost some weight (if that makes sense at all). They say a healthy weight to put on is 12-14kgs throughout a pregnancy so if this is the case I may be about 8kgs lighter in the end, yeah, maybe more because they say it's a big baby and lots of water... I must say I have really enjoyed the majority of my pregnancy and I never really believed this time would come and now I'm getting a little scared of the labour which in the past is something I've always anticipated with gladness. I have been eating quite well but not as well as I would like because hubby has been doing the shopping and seems to get things wrong, like roasted almonds instead of raw and cabbage instead of cos lettuce I could mention quite a few others but I don't want to make him look too bad, he is trying (yes, very trying, lol). At the moment I'm not really eating a great deal, there's not much room left in there for food but I am craving grapes but can't get any decent ones that taste the way I want them to. I've been taking my flax seed with juice daily and that has been keeping me level headed and I think 'regular' thank goodness. I will continue to drink this afterwards also just because it makes me feel soooooo good and keeps my moods even. Ok, take care everyone, hopefully next time I post I will have had my little bundle of joy. Bye for now

Hello there all, well it's been some time since I've posted, been busy over christmas and new year but here I am now. Just under two weeks now til baby is due so any time now I guess, I hate these last two weeks of waiting, it just drags even know I know I should be enjoying my last little bit of freedom before baby arrives you just get impatient, especially in this hot hot and humid weather. The body slows down and you can't do what you used to do and everything takes about five times as long to do. Sleeping is hard, every time you want to roll over you wake up, it's like doing a three point turn, lol.
Ok, my little rant over with now, I am feeling fine, baby is doing really well and get this, the Dr said last week that it would be between 8.5pds and 9pds, lol, my heaviest child so far was 7pds. Now I'm thinking that all this good food I've been eating has given me a giant, eeeeek, or how about a very healthy little (big) baby.
Hubby is getting really impatient now and tells me to 'concentrate on squeezing it out', yeh right, I wish it were that easy.
My food intake was excellent until last week and then over the past four days I've slipped a little and had some pasta and rice and a little too much bread but then yesterday I didn't eat much at all and today I really don't feel like anything at all, maybe things are going to happen sooner than I think, I hope so.
Ok, I will try to stay in touch more but it gets a little hot using the computer.
Take care and bye for now

Hi there Naomi
Well I haven't had a completely raw pregnancy but it has been very high raw ranging at the beginning from about 85% to 95% now, which I'm very pleased with.
You can read what I've written in my journal if your interested.
It's also my belief that Shazzie wasn't exactly 100% raw throughout her pregnancy and just did the best she could. Our body changes alot at this time so even if you think and really want to be raw it may not happen that way, you can only do the best you can.
One thing I know is that at age 40 I'm feeling great, I've got just a few short weeks to go now and baby is doing fine, in fact this one is said to be bigger than my others so it's obviously well nourished.
Take care and bye for now

Hi there all, I'm back again. Everything is going wonderful at the moment, I'm 35.5 wks pregnant and measuring 39 (wow). Apparently I've got alot of water in there too so I'm thinking the baby is just trying to stay cool in this very hot weather we've been having lately. I'm sooooo glad we have a pool at home, what a sight that is I'm telling you. My eating has been very good, about 90 - 95% raw and feeling really great on it. More blood was taken on Monday so I'll get those results next week. My favourite food right now is baby spinach and lettuce mixed together and dates for my sweet tooth. Mango salads are really high on my list too. Went to Rainbow Beach last week with my parents and children, that was so good, my dad did everything with the kids and I relaxed, wow what a luxury that was. We went out for dinner on the last night there and they made me a vegan salad but it came back full of tofu (which I hate) but all the same I was glad to get a good salad that I didn't have to make myself. I'll try and post more often if I can I just seem to have been really busy with christmas coming and all. Take care and bye for now
