17  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Linseed & Flaxseed on: Thursday 05 July, 2007
I have learnt on this forum that we shouldn't have huge amounts of Flaxseed....they contain Cyanide....in small doses is great. It's what in an apple seed....and an apricot kernal...it's the B17 Vitamin...Great cancer fighter in small doses. When you chew the apple seed, and the apricot kernal..it is  very distinct flavour..you must chew it to get the benefit...
Would love the milk recipe....

you are doing so well!!! wow...my hubby is the one who keeps me on track!! we are all raw...we have eliminated various problems with the kids since going raw..great to see.Our kids will eat other food if it's on the table when visiting....I let them choose, but I limit the quantity ..then they can gauge how it makes them feel!! knowing that it was their choice to eat it....
1 banana for breaky!!!  wow...is your mum tiny? I have 1 banana in my smoothie with heaps of other fruit!! I guess when your breast feeding we tend to eat more...well I know I do...I am always thinking about giving my baby enough...and having enough left for me to be a good mum!!
Will sign the petition...thanks
Would love to  catch up one day....we homeschool our two eldest, so that keeps me busy also..
thanks for your chat.......chat me anytime.....

just reading through your post and comments jen....great  Brock has improved...as I was reading I thought of praising Brock lots when he gets it right!!   give no energy to what you don't want to see, so when he pee's where he shouldn't, just say nothing....or either praise for last time for going to the toilet....great you are making Brock  take responsability for his actions...I like that..a night light may help too....well done for being such a great mum!
24  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Raw Pregnancy and Kids / Re: baby sleeping help! on: Tuesday 03 July, 2007
Sounds like you have some great helpers here!  it's wonderful to have support.......I will add that I have found 0-3months up for 1hr...down for 2 hr in the day.....3-6months  up for 2 hr down for 2 hour....thats not a routine or strict sleep/play pattern...just what I have found my babies do and want.....my babe is nearly four months and feeds usually three times a night..and I class that as normal...she is obviously hungry...so a feed is what she gets...I love night feeding...the house is quiet...just me and babe having quality time! very special! yahh
lets make the most of each moment they need us...and want us..and depend on us....we are their everything...and we are so blessed!

25  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Raw Pregnancy and Kids / Re: Home Birth Stories... on: Tuesday 03 July, 2007
wow....I need to spend time reading all the posts here.....but just wanted to share my story!! If there's a topic I love to talk about it's homebirth!!!so near and dear to my heart!!!
I have had two homebirths...and wow what an unreal experience they were....we were in rural NSW for our first homebirth which was our 4th child.....so no midwife avaliable!!! so my hubby and I began to madly read all we could about unassisted homebirth!! we decided sure ,we could do that....and thats exactly what we did! Danny ( Boy)was 9 1/2 pound....straight forward and most enjoyable.....we couldn't tell many people tho....and had to make it look like I just didn't make it to hospital!! We didn't even have scales big enough! so we used the neighbors fish scales!! So when number 5 was on the way....of course it was only natural we would do the same again.....and thats what we did!! Bly( girl) was born 7 days over...and at 8lb 3 ....adorable! it is so rewarding....fulfilling...and blissful! I love being preg and giving birth in my natural surrounding....with those I know and love! and totally doing my thing.... yahh
I have had three babies in hospital and two babies unassisted at home...and I can tell you which I would rather any day....I love reading about mama's that trust their body completly to do what we were designed to do!! It's all about being in tune with you....and your baby..hope this can help someone xo

27  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: How much money have you saved? on: Monday 02 July, 2007
we have 5 children...and we eat all organic raw...the cost is not even an option to me...can you put a price on the best??!! we don't buy our kids useless toys, so I can justify money spent on their health and future..buying juicing carrots and juicing apples does help though...we go through many of those!!!
28  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Oil Pulling - What do you think? Anyone tried it? on: Monday 02 July, 2007
we were told to do this when one of our daughters had an abscess beside her tooth a year ago..she was 8 and using a tablespoon 3 times a day..it worked! We were also told of the dangers of swallowing any of it...she rinsed her mouth thoroughly after each time, and then brushed her teeth...she used sunflower oil . We didn't realise it was something that would help so many things.. will be trying it now....great to read of good results!
