241  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / vitamin and mineral supplements on: Sunday 02 March, 2008
is it true that most supplements are inorganic forms that the body can't even use? i've heard that alot of supplements are manufactured or synthetic. i used to take all sorts of supplements for my skin like vitamin a, zinc, vitamin e ect and it never did a single thing only raw food has actually had any affect on doing something to my skin.

a raw vegan village, that'd be such a great place to live.
243  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Went to the psychiatrist this afternoon... on: Sunday 02 March, 2008
the idiots are taking over. just reading that makes my blood boil. i wonder, did the psychiatrist look healthy and the doctor too? i've never seen a healthy looking gp that i've been to. every single one was overweight and extremely pale and tired looking. i have never heard of a protein deficiency before and i've read that even if you had nothing but potatoes to eat you still can get adequate protein. it sounds like she knows nothing about nutrition except for the rubbish you hear on tv so maybe that's how she could make such a stupid statement. maybe in time medical research will catch up and won't consider somebody who has large amounts of fruit and veg a binge eater.
244  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / mrs flannery's robina sat raw food on: Thursday 28 February, 2008
i went into mrs flannery's at robina today and one of the ladies told me that on saturday nicole from the sprout and the bean is going to have a bit of a demo or something in mrs flannery's and there will be raw pizza's, cheezecake and all her goodies so i just thought i'd share that with everyone. i didn't even know but she is selling raw ice cream and granola there. the ice cream was sold out today but i got some grawnola Smiley

today has been an awsome day. i've been raw maybe two weeks now and i think it's starting to kick in. i can't stop exercising. normally my energy is up and down and after exercising i will be low on energy for the rest of the day. i went for a surf in the morning then a run and swim, walked the dog, did some yoga and after i fuel up again i'm going to train some kung fu. i've started some mono eating of fruit and i think it works wonders Smiley
246  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Off Topic Chat / Re: Why vegetarianism is not a solution on: Saturday 23 February, 2008
when i went vegetarian a few years back i certainly didn't eat cheesecake and coke and hardly ever had beans or legumes. i had salads, vegetables and lots of fruit and i was not sick and weak, and most vegetarians i know are not sickly and weak. of course some people have no idea about nutrition but i still think vegetarian would be better than being a meat eater.

248  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Is There Anyone Who is Not Following a High Fruit Diet on: Thursday 21 February, 2008
wow reading this post is confusing. in my opinion there's just too much info out there all conflicting, how can anyone make a choice? i have to admit i find that the 801010ers look healthly and i find high fruit is good if you balance it out with greens (not that i'm doing 80 10 10 but i sometimes aim for that model of high fruit and balance it with alot of greens). but then again rudolph looks very fit in his new avatar pic (that is you right?)

at least one thing we can all agree on is that if its raw and not cooked it's good Smiley

251  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Vegan and Frugivore is it the same thing on: Sunday 10 February, 2008
cheese is a hard one to beat. i was on green living ( a website you can google) they have a quice recipe and different raw cheezy recipes. i love spinach pie with feta so i am going to use some rawcipes so i am not tempted next time mum makes a spinach pie.
252  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Fitness & Health / Re: I'm running!!! on: Sunday 10 February, 2008
that sounds great. we should all get shirts done with raw on them and we'll fly harley in or rawaussieathlete and maybe they can win it for our team.

thanks greenum. yes i mean thirty days all raw and i am worried too that i'll break it over something small after my resolve fades. to try and prevent this i will be making alot of gourmet raw and reminding myself constantly of why i want to do the thirty days. i was reading alissa cohen and she advises not to just jump into say an 801010 model of eating raw. afterall it is a transition and it is hard to jump from cooked grain and fats to just fruit and veg. i am going to make sure i have nuts and  raisins or something ready for those times when i am craving cooked food. i also have written a list if reasons to stay raw. all the best for you too.
254  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Fitness & Health / Re: I'm running!!! on: Sunday 10 February, 2008
great that you're running. i couldn't even do 5k at the moment. i think with the breathing you should just breathe however you want as long as you are breathing well without having to focus on it. i'd like to set a goal for my fitness so maybe i should aim to do a fair chunk of the gc marathon and train up until then.

i'm back on raw again  yahh and today was 100 percent. 2 days so far and already loads of energy.
after going to the markets at northey street i stocked up on greens and fruit and got a cacao swirl and raw pizza they were both good. i also met waterberry who seems really nice. after that i went climbing at kangaroo point and then to the beach. yesterday i ate very 801010 and i'm wondering if it's why i feel like i'm a bit sick but also feeling good in other ways. i am now going for another attempt at thirty days. last time i couldn't do it but i feel i'm better prepared and more sure of why i want to be raw. i am really loving the taste of green smoothies at the moment for some reason and i think alot of greens are helping me stay raw. one thing i have decided to do is never take salad to work for lunch. i like salad but for some reason when i take it along to work for lunch i'm never satasfied and therefore cooked cravings rear their ugly head. i am going pretty low fat but i think taking something raw & gourmet to work will keep me from eating cooked food.
