hi rawmuma. you're in palm beach! i live in tallebudgera. do you know wray organic at the 19th avenue shops? they have an organic cafe (not raw though but there maybe be raw salad options) in brisbane and are expanding into a bigger store and cafe just round the corner from woolworths. i bet we've crossed paths before if you live so close. oh and mrs flannerys robina is at the easy t centre. its just a bit away from robina town centre. if you go to www.mrsflannerys.com.au you'll see directions. both wray and mrs flannerys stock raw ice cream and chocolate if you're into that sort of thing.

gold coast is better than japan for fruit supply especially because bananas aren't that big in japan and tropical fruit world is just down the road Smiley i am going to have to get a black sapote next weekend! blend with bananas and you've got the best chocolate shake in the world!

quick question for all you reading, some people i've heard think detox is rubbish others don't, i've been feeling a little ill in the stomach today and went to the toilet alot and a few days ago had one of the worst headaches i can remember at night i just woke up and my head was pounding i the front area and i also thought i was going to vomit but didn't. has anyone had detox symptoms when first going raw?

raw food today:
breakfast a pudding made from blended banana, mango and papaya topped with a few goji berries. mmm it was good
hadn't eaten all day until then,  i had some spinach with my raw version of quiche had some macadamias but not too bad a recipe lots of spinach too so hopefully it will balance out the nuts.
exercise was yoga this morning and i went for a run and swim yesterday so glad to be doing some form of exercise again.

thailand would be great. i want to go there too will be easy to access when i'm living in japan and some of the fruits get shipped to japan, local is better but its great to have an exotic foreign fruit every now and then.

in the first raw book i read the author said how people treat themselves to hundred dollar steak dinners so why not do the same on raw and buy a durian! really like your action plan too.

hi metamorphisis. i live on the gold coast but go up to griffith uni nathan for some classes as well as the gold coast campus. i recently went to japan neet and fruit is expensive but not that expensive. there's actually a raw vegan community in tokyo and a restaurant so it is possible to be raw there and easier than vegetarian with all the hidden animal products in vegetarian seeming cooked food. i went to go to the raw cafe and after finding it in the rain it was closed for that month  laugh oh well next time.

japan has lots of melons, grapes, persimmons, fuji apples and also grows a japanese peach called momo, strawberries, lychees, mangos in miyazaki in the south and when i was there recently i had sesame seeds ground with shiso a japanese green which i really liked! its more like a leaf. oh they have these things called umeboshi plums too which are nice. i can't wait to make raw creations from the different food there. sheryl and piers went there too its in an old post of theirs. so if you'd like to go don't worry you can be raw but and if you take the time out to find it there's organic food too maybe some wild foods too in the country. i'd definitely recommend it especially off the beaten track there is so many natural wonders.

i am making granola  laugh. its really easy i thought it would be a pain and require every variety of expensive raw nuts but all i needed was some almonds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. soak them, mix with dates blended with water and then stir in some blueberries and raspberries and dehydrate. 24 hours later you'll have an awesome granola. i just tried a little then and its so awesome. i've felt like cooked food a bit today so it will be good to have some transition food on hand. i still went well today. another pineapple spinach green smoothie this morning, salad for lunch i ordered from a cafe all raw. i'm proud i didn't get something cooked with it because i usually want something more substantial so instead i got a mango after. just now i had a big smoothie with goji berries, blueberries, banana and cacao. twas yummmm.

they are opening a new organic cafe at palm beach and i'm going to see if they are hiring and get out of my stupid job. i think it would be cool if i could make nut milks for them and do raw smoothies and juices. i know the people who own the fruit and veg store they have also so hopefully i'll be in with a good chance!

sounds like a method rgg. i feel that way at the moment with eating raw. although i'm finding mostly easy, i just want to keep going without thinking about it and today eating raw did not seem like a big deal. maybe that's been my problem, i thought it's such a dramatic change but its just food really. anyway i'm really happy that today was 100 percent and i was absolutely buzzing through a big day of driving to brisbane then back to the gold coast for uni classes then work and i didn't even feel like taking a nap like i can on my giant thursdays.

between uni and work i did a big shop at mrs flannery's robina which is raw food heaven. they've got ice creams, granolas, kitz bars, chocolate, mesquite, cacao butter and a whole bunch of fresh raw organic produce. on november the first for their supersaver saturdays nicki from earth and water and karen i think also? will be doing raw food like pizzas and uncooking demonstrations at mrs flannerys robina! one of the lady's isn't a vegan but she is really getting into all the raw food there and she is always so excited to tell me about what she's made at home or what new raw stuff they get in. i got some sundried muscatels still on the sprig too. they're going in my attempt at a raw granola.

i had a smoothie with five bananas strawberries and a little cacao for breakfast, three apples later, some of karenlovesraw's walnuts later in the afternoon and when i got home a big green smoothie with pineapple and silverbeet. i really enjoyed that green smoothie and i really liked the colour of it for some reason. it reminded me of slime like on the original teenage mutant ninja turtles movie. i'm going to have another green smoothie tomorrow morning with my other half of pineapple sitting in the fridge.

no exercise today, it is a big day for me with uni and work till late but hopefully tomorrow!

hi dan. i climb at kangaroo point but not much lately. sometimes indoor too. i would love to climb in the blue mountains. i've really always wanted to go and climb there. i'm pretty novice i have only climbed the really easy stuff i think it's like 15 or something on the australia scale but once i finish uni and have a life, i really want to get good so i can do those awesome climbs you see in magazines and start learning how to use natural protection like nuts and cams. hows the protein going? you can have the protein but it doesn't have to be post work out maybe? but whatever your body agrees with. just personally, i don't feel like protein after exercise.

thursday. will have to wait till the uni semester is over free. i have to go up to brisbane for uni at 8. oh well one week left then study week so i could do it then Smiley
another day 100 percent raw Smiley i had a high fat chill day but i'm still transitioning and i enjoyed it. i went to the beach in the morning and then came back home with a bowl of raw ice cream and did my uni assignment and had a carrot soup with ginger and lime from raw food real world for lunch and a delicious salad with olives cukes and sundried tomatoes.
i seem to have discovered how to concentrate and get through my uni work. i kept looking at things on the net like you tube videos and raw food stuff like rawkathon for a few minutes just enough of something that was positive or made me laugh and then i could power through my uni work for 2 minutes or so. does anyone else work like this?

44  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Off Topic Chat / Re: PLease post your garden pictures... on: Wednesday 22 October, 2008
thanks frangipanni. i live on the gold coast up in the hills of tallebudgera. lots of good volcanic soil. your garden looks great too. so many greens. i love those big leafy lettuces. so good for wraps and salads. you must have some great raw dishes with all those kinds of tomatoes and yellow zucchini. we don't have chickens. i think dad put up the fence to keep our dog out. unfortunately he's not with us anymore but it probably will keep out scrub turkeys out too.
