Hello folks! I hope as you read this you are happy Yesterday we held our raw food prep demonstration down here is Hobart. Gosia and I prepared and spoke about raw foods and it was such a hit! Just a small crowd but that was great for our first time doing this. Gosia was absolutely amazing and inspired us all. She is such a generous woman. Luke also made a fab kitchen hand for her! And it was lovely to hang out with Lou (and lovely for her to not be working in the kitchen I'm sure!) To chat about raw foods with like-minded or simply interested people is so empowering I find. I am so grateful that I now live in a raw house! My beautiful friend I live with is nearly all raw for the six weeks of living in this place, she's doing so well. My excercise has been slack and I have paid with less energy. I have done some up-hill pram pushing this morn but I really am becoming tired of walking ang jogging the suburbs! I can go hiking in a beautiful bush reserve nearby but can't take the pram and I do get a sore back because I carry my boy a lot. Hmmm, so I'm thinking of getting a baby bike-seat...and a bike lol! Sounds fun! I had a scrummy meal this morn: a big bowl of blended bananas topped with, swirled through, a few bananas blended with strawberries. Oh yeah! But wait...I started and ended with a perfectly ripe organic R2E2 mango mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Eaten in the sun outside. Always good to eat in nature I find...relaxing so digestion is smooth. I've done some garden work...more tomatoes in, blackcurrants, corn salad, and baby spinach transplanted. Lots of work to do on the soil, lots of organic matter needed. I also discovered a new grape vine so we have for fruit: lemon, big apricot, peach, kiwifruit, 2 or 3 passionfruits, 2 grapevines, plum, peach, strawberry patch, a couple of blackberries, raspberries, blackcurrants and apple! In a tiny backyard! So chuffed! Wishing you a happy, joyous, healthy, balanced day! xxx

Hi sweetie,
Not watched the youtube for sleeping bub on lap but I buy unhulled sunflower seeds in bulk (2kg for $3.10) for greens from a pet store (don't like supporting them but it's doing good in other ways I reason and I tell the salesperson my plan for the seeds!). Pea seeds for pea sprouts/shoots you can use any pea like chickpea or 'dried blue peas' that are often in bulk at healthfood stores. Hope that helps!

Hello dear wonderful friends! What a spectacular life this is! Thanks tora chan, it's good to be back. Welcome to my journal space I've always liked your profile shot - where is it taken? I've always thought of California when I've seen it...is that where you live? Aw thanks Berrylicious! I have missed reading more of yours too, and await beautiful photos of your amazing creations and kiddies that you kindly share with all of us. May your garden provide you the most abundant feast Hi lovely Gosia! I look forward to reading your latest posts too. Are you keen to be part of a raw demo on Sunday 9th Nov? Lou's only free weekend day for ages so hope you can and desire to do it that day. I hope your garden is growing masses of yummy apricots, berries, pears, apples, greens, etc etc for you. Have you been doing any more seed scattering? Hey do you get your watermelon from A-one? Is it a reasonable price where you get it? Hope you have the best day! xx Savvy, you are so right...I must say you generally are though! Hey there Eve, thank you, I am fantastic, loving life and full of energy. How are you? And how's your boy? Wow! Where to begin on my first in-depth post boggles me! I wish to set my intention for this journal. I wish to inspire others to be healthier and happier, and to create a hub to share joy with you lovely souls sharing the healing journey (or wanting to !). Let me tell you about my day so far...the highlights. On my morning walk in a beautiful spring Hobart stunning sunshiney day I encountered an amazingly inspiring man. He simply approached me and began to tell me about a project he is initiating - a large community orchard area, in a council park, and also in nature strips. The whole valley where we stood used to be fruit orchard before the fruit industry moved to the Huon Valley in the 1930's. Fig, apple, pear, loquat, lemon, mandarin, apricot, peach, avocado, almond, nectarin, plum, walnut, cherry, grape, avocado. Many backyards in West Hobart still home these old trees and vines - what a great place to live! My neighbours have smartly planted the nature strip in front of their house and ours with fruit trees too. It is just amazing to me how real the law of attraction is! My vision for the world is a massive garden or jungle of fruit and greens we all share and care for. I was inspired to get into the backyard and get working torward my vision of an edible garden, both for us to enjoy, for future tenants to enjoy, and for the benefit of this amazing Earth. Physical excercise is so important for me at the moment. I have been adventuring all over the place! Hiking is the best for me - nature+excercise=joy! Foodwise I have been experimenting a little of late. I've tried grazing and am so happy to have returned to 3-4 meals - I have much more energy, don't think about food all the time and am feeling cleaner. Eating mainly organic (Tassie's not the easiest place to do so but it's certainly possible), lots of simple fruit meals in the day and usually a salad or green soup in the early eve. I sometimes don't realise how late it gets before eating though for it's still light after 9! Tried higher fat, feel a bit blah after a few days. Tried eating some seaweed, felt dehydrated. So it's back to pretty straight-up 811rv eating for me because my cells, thoughts, soul, life, spirit, emotions, all sing out for simplicity, and eating fruit and greens, amongst sunshine, nature, a calm mind and other important factors, allows me to live life with open arms. My little boy is waking up, bless him! I hope you have a fantastic, juicy day that you live from your heart with joy and love! xxx All my love Jungle

Hello All I have not been very present on the forum over the last few months and I am missing the community of healing souls here. Alas, a new journal springs forth into life! I have recently purchased a good camera too so looking forward to sharing shots with you. Check out this magnolia tree I was blessed with walking beneath...

This is a couple of months ago nearly now. Taken at my bro's house near Airlie Beach...local organic black sapotes grown by a fabulous man. Jarrah looked like he had been rummaging in mud lol! This was very civilised eating - with a soon and bib and all...he usually just rolls on it/in it and I oblige because he loves it. I am giving him more solids now because he just seems to love fruit and that's cool with me, I don't have the inclination to fight a hea about giving him solids earlier than is robably ideal. Fun is very fun Organic_Girl I cannot wait to see your pics! (no pressure Jen!) x

Hello Beautiful Being I thought this a better place to reply to your hello in garden thread. Your salad looks amazing! So colourful and fresh and vibrant! This time of the year is so exciting...warmer weather bringing amazing new food, flowers and cheeriness in people! I hope you had a relaxing time taking a break from the forum. You put so much into this place and it is inspiring and appreciated by many. I don't spend much time on here anymore after taking a break from having the internet connected and I must admit that it is refreshing as much as I love what goes one here! I love creating a raw hub in "real" life...and it happens! I've moved to a gorgeous new place with a special friend and it's really working well...raw community is forming around us! With Lou, and hopefully Gosia, a raw demo at our house soon...many interested too! Yay! What you're doing, creating inspiration for people to enrich their lives with healthy food is incredible. Take care chickadee xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Sounds good RGG, would be yummo with orange in place of dates/apple too. I found this 'generic experimentation guide', thanks to ck on Doug Graham's vegsource discussion board http://www.vegsource.com/talk/raw/index.html my favs n basics are always take one or two from each of the following acid or sub acid fruit(eg mango, orange, any berry or `s, pineapple, peach, nectarine, lime, lemon) a non sweet fruit such as (tomato, cucumber, red pepper, ect) and a mild herb if desired (basil, cilantro, parsley, mint, fennel, dill) and lastly for a soup greens (spinach, romaine, redleaf, butter ect) for more saltyness i start with celery or sundried tomatoes and blend fine, then add other ingredients. most often i find i use tomatoes and celery with a hint of....... and on ocasion add a few olives, avocado, hemp seed ect. the options are endless, and experimentation and variety the center of fun. Most often i find the simpler the better 2-4 ingredients. Tomato, celery and orange is a hit, thanks to Doug Graham for that. Also yummo over zucchini noodles (grated or vegetable peeler noodles of zucchini) Enjoy!!

We (Tassiefolk like Gosia n I) actually don't have typical fruit flies down here...but for those that do try the dishwasher and oven! Our kitchen has a big table and chairs so hung out in a lot. Benches house big baskets and bowls of fruit. In front of the window in the sun live the ripening bananas. Half are in their box, half in a thick brown paper bulk potato bag. There's some edible flowers in glass bottles, a pro wizz food processor, electric, citrus juicer and fancy juicer (housemate's so unsure of technicals!). We have a water purifier, books, knives, bowls, utencils. We're after a nice block of timber to turn the stovetop into benchspace. The fridge houses veggies for us people and Oliver, bunny friend, and food for feline friends. And the dishwasher...filled with oranges! Nice and cool in there! After I get my usual ripe organic bananas on Saturday the oven is filled with bananas too! Sometimes the fruit storage extends to the lounge room. There are also lots of water bottles around to and pretty flowers
