Hello Blue Nelly. Sounds like everything you're doing is right! As far as the weaving in front of you goes...dogs learn by association, so everytime she goes past the spot you want her to walk, turn away from her so that she is always behind or beside you. Keep a steady pace. It works best in a big field and you'll be changing directions often. She'll soon learn that she belongs next to you. You can also help coax her with treats right next to your side. I use treats in training also. They learn better when they're having fun! Let me know if you have any other questions. I don't mind at all! And I'll ask you raw questions when I need it, too. Talk to you later, Kt
Thanks everyone! Okay, I can handle giving up beans forever! No biggie. I was craving Mexican last night, but I came up with a really yummy guacamole and wrapped it in Romaine with tomato, so I'm satisfied without the beans! You all are so helpful. Thanks again, Kt
Hi. It is a recipe for bean dip. It calls for kidney beans, chickpeas, or any beans. It was in the same post as the Nachos. So I can use beans from a bag as long as I sprout them? I don't know anything about sprouting, but why can't I just soak them in water? I really appreciate your help! Kt
Hello. I have a newbie question. I saw a recipe here with beans. I was wondering if we can have beans, and can we just buy them in the bag from a grocery store? Do we soak them in water until they're soft? This may seem like a dumb question, but I'm going to ask, because beans sound gooooood!! Thank you!! Kt
Hello. I'm 8 days raw and new to the forum. I'm also a dog trainer. I can't sum up training tips in one e-mail, so ask me some specifics, and I'll be happy to help. Kt
Thank you so much for all the info! I know that participating in this forum will help me stay on track. I just had Easter dinner with the family and stayed on track, but it was difficult. I think the smells of the cooked food was the hardest. I felt sure of myself, however, when everyone was finished eating, they complained about how their stomachs hurt because they were so full. Your input has been helping me so much! Thank you for your long e-mail with all the tips on the other topic, too. I can't wait until I get over my addiction so I can feel like you and the other raw foodies! Thanks again. Kt
Hello. I'm very new to all of this and have only been raw for 5 days now, but have already lost 7 pounds. I'm very excited about it! I have a couple of questions, though. Do most lose this quickly, and if so, did anyone have problems with loose skin? I'm 23, have good skin, and take care of it, but I'm slightly concerned about not having the tight skin I have now. What are your experiences? Thanks so much! Kt
Thank you both for the info. I already feel a lot better. I thought the withdrawal symptoms would last longer than a couple of days, but I feel good right now. I'm trying to be creative with recipes, but I don't know all the rules of raw. I read Natures First Law, but do you have any suggestions of where I can find info on the basics of what I can have other than fresh fruits and veggies? Thanks so much! Kt
Hello. My name is Kt. I'm four days raw and need all the support I can get! I do have a specific question, though. Larabar says raw on the package, and it looks to be raw, but they taste so GOOD! I'm trying to familiarize myself with products that are truly raw. Thanks everyone! I really respect you all. Kt
