I just wanted to share a small pleasantry and maybe start a little altar for the Duruz duo.

I made an order the other day for some Maca Extreme - that's the kind of guy I am - anyway, it had run out - so, Sheryl calls to say they will send TWO bags of regular Maca to make up! When I get home - Piers has emailed to say the same - that is what I call service!
For those not in the know - you may be interested to know Sheryl has an American - or Canadian I wouldn't be surprised - accent - you can't tell from her forum entries can you?
Having only recently come to this site - I was struck by the love coming off these pages - I put it down to S & P creating a good vibe to start with. They have been a real pleasure to deal with and as a business model - they are exemplary! It makes you want to buy stuff from them - don't you think? Or is that just me?

So - apart from sharing their treasured recipes - I wondered what are some other unsung kindnesses that have been bestowed on you by S & P? Or even P & S? Step up to the dias of Duruz and make an offering! (That's dias as in a raised area for honoured guests - not as in Cameron!)

I've had little treaties on a couple of occasions.  Little sampler of cashews/cacao nibs, and little sample of cacao nibs (again).  I think Sheryl spotted my chocolate love before I did.  Or, perhaps she inflamed it??  cheesy

I believe Sheryl's accent is Canadian.  The thing I noticed in speaking to Sheryl recently, is that she giggles.  I like that.

I've not spoken to Piers, but I suspect he is in the background, lovingly sewing those nut milk bags on the Singer (among other business duties).  cheesy

Only very recently have I realised exactly HOW lucky we are to have RP, when checking out buying things directly from o.s. and the shipping charges.  Enough to make you giddy.

Speaking of offerings - it rarely happens, but if you anger the Raw Pleasure gods - be prepared.  It will cost you in cacao.  And their preference is mint chocolate.  cheesy

Yes I have been on the receiving end of the Durez Duo's loving kindness. Last December I had an accident and I recieved a goodie bag in the mail from the DD. Inside their were lovely and expensive treats to help make me feel better.

I was completely overwhelmed by this as I had never experienced such kindness before. It really amazed me that this could happen on a site that I thought was primarily a business site.

Nnw I know its more about the RP family and I am grateful that I am part of this.

Yes Sheryl is Canadian. The funny thing is she said that I don't sound like she had imagined I would. So now i am trying to cultivate an Aussie accent, but I don't think its working.

But listening to other West Australians, we all sound very similar. I think the broad Aussie accent is definitely an Eastern States thing.

Bloody bewdy mate!

You guys are all so wonderful to us - it's magic being part of this community with all of you!

Joss - I have no idea what you're talking about... teasing? *grin* Or maybe I do.

Piers and I leave officially tomorrow morning, but are staying with friends overnight tonight so we can be close to the airport. They are driving us to the airport at 5 am. Now how is that for a sign of true friendship! And we didn't even ask. In return I am bringing them a large bag of goji berries tonight for the to experience the magic of. I think they will love it! How much better is that than the usual bottle of wine or box of chocolate!

We will be keeping in touch and posting our adventures (much like Harley is). We will be back in the office by the 6th, and you are in the very capable hands of Karen! She will take good care of you all. She's our Miss Fitness who reads regularly, but still has yet to post (she says because she gets so much raw love at events, dinners and working here!).

Thank you all again - you make doing what we do worth every minute of it.

Love,
Sheryl

We're off to Indonesia for two weeks of biking, fresh fruit, and blissful relaxation.

We fly out in 22 hours... and counting down! 7 am tomorrow we fly to Sydney, then north to Denpasar (crazy flights). I am so looking forward to this!!!

There are many great thing about Sheryl and Piers.
For me, there is only one thing better than the warmth of her Being, and that is her accent!  cheesy
And Piers, well he is heaps smaller than me, and all I want to do is give him a big bear hug.
They are both very good huggers.
