oooh what a great thread, only just found it!

this probably isn't much use until mulberry season rolls round again, but one of my top faves is:

Handful frozen mulberries (picked 3kg for free from a local tree last year, a very happy find!)
2 - 3 Bananas (can use frozen for extra thick, creamy smoothie)
1 - 2 Oranges
Bunch baby spinach
And a spoon of Spirulina is nice in it too

I had a really yummy one two weeks ago, got it off a Jennifer Cornbleet DVD:

Filtered water
Organic blueberries – used a whole tub
One organic orange
One organic frozen banana
Handful organic spinach

Really nice but given the tub of blueberries was about $8.00, makes for quite an expensive drink.

Mission: To scour the recipe sections of my favourite raw sites

Objective: To recieve inspiration and practical advice to further my path towards raw goodness

Conclusion: Success!

What a great thread - my weekend will be filled with fantastic recipes now, cant wait. :-)

Here is a green smoothie i do when i dont actually have any fruit left in the house:

zest and juice from a couple of limes
greens
water

Is a great way to get your greens without it tasting like just green - yummy!

NB - i love the tip on only pulsing with the bananas, will use it for sure.  yahh

okay..not a green smoothie but one which I've been living on for the last month (until I couldn't find any more coconuts)...
1 banana
1/2 punnet of blueberries
water from one young coconut
maca powder

whizz together. this is divine. I didn't have room for my blender on this trip so i have been preparing my smoothies the old mortar and pestle way (often improvising with a mixing bowl and a potato masher..takes a while but it's worth it) and putting A LOT of love (elbow grease) into it at the same time. Yes, I'm a determined and often desparate woman. Ariel (my 'breatharian' son -ie: doesn't think eating is important) thinks this is the best banana smoothie he has ever had.

bananas and water (banana mylk)

bananas and celery

bananas and baby spinach

bananas date and silver beet

bananas and lettuce(soft leaf lettuce)

bananas and green veg juice...mmmmm

bananas and ripe fresh figs(or soaked dried figs) with lettuce

add water to all smoothie recipes as much as you want to get desired consistency!

i have many many over ripe bananas,i am very excited i love smoothi~ing...its so easy to digest..yummo

the less ingredients added to a 'meal' the less digestive energy used

Jedi, does that get your eyes spinning in your head? LOL. What a smoothie. I must drop by your place one day for a taste test!

My fave right now is just blended young coco. I've been having two or three of these per day. If I had the $$$ for 10 -15 of them per day I would do a fast on them right away. Soooo good!

I've not read that yet. But I must! Especially given my current coconut binge.
