Breathing with you Amy...soothing deep breaths...inhale.....pause......exhale.............ahhhhhhhhh...

I am maintaining the sight of your whole family standing firmly, in a space of loving empowerment, through this period of heart anguish.  Feeling the threads of illusion untangling and dissolving...and support, understanding and liberation taking their place.

Amy you are doing so well...your strength is tangible...your son knows you are with him...even though perhaps not physically right now...you are his mother...no one can take that away...you and he are connected through many levels...

My heart is so here with you...know that all will be well...is well...and it can not be any other way...but well...regardless of how it seems.  Beautiful Mother...keep venting here...

We are here for you...

So much love to you and Isaiah...

I don't know the words to express how much I hate 'the establishment' and what they have done to your family. As others have said, know that we are here to support you even if that offers little comfort at the moment.

Hugs to you Smiley Been through court for other reasons with ex but know how diet can be used against you. I'd contact the vegan society as they would have to have someone who has some knowledge or experience in this. I'd suggest that he's not able to use it against you unless he can prove that your daughter is being mal-treated. ie is not well on the vegan diet. Good luck and lotsa loving support from me xo

Might be useful if you and children have full regular medical check ups, in case it comes to that.  this i imagine would be acceptable evidence that you are not being negligent.  Maybe vegan society or someone here can recommend sympathetic doctor, otherwise i would just visit a doctor i feel comfy with and request a full checkup, you don't even need to mention diet, and i wouldn't unless it came up - obviously some people have reactions to the term vegan, so you might want to excercise caution....the word vegetarian is much more acceptable to general folk, and if a dr asked you could use that term instead...wise to be cautious when it is about your children, but if ex was to bring this to court it should help you to have official 'evidence' of health.

good luck.

squidly,  Are you in the UK or AUstralia (or somewhere else)? ( you said here and the US, I'm just wondering where here is) If you're not in the UK, this might present a neat article full or pros and cons of vegan (not raw), if you're in the UK that's probably what your were referring to. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/48445
Good luck!

http://www.thegardendiet.com/news/article-andressohns.html i found this a couple of days ago. its just so wrong!
sergei said at one of his talks that child services came around to check on him and valya and they just told them they had mc donalds when they were asked what they eat and they left them alone. storm has raised his children raw vegan and they are perfectly healthy. last night on the news two parents were arrested for not feeding their children, the problem is that they don't realise that raw food is food and the children are being fed the best food! and what about the parents who feed their children so much that they are overweight and facing health problems and teasing at school, are unable to walk and exercise.

i think it should be taken to the media, maybe there's some vegan lawyers out their who can represent people properly.

amylouisebell1982 I'm gona pray for you...promise

By the way  I'm from Serbia, and when I told my peditrician I don't intend to give my baby meat, she literally frose her face, and sent me to nutricionist, and instead of just sending me to them she went with me and before letting me come in with here she went alone, closed the door, and told them that she suspects I'm a vegetarian (like it's something bad - and I garantee you, if she for example had thought I was stuffing my baby with big Mc's everyday, that wouldn't had bothered her)

And my talk with nutricionist sounded something like this....... Sad

I told nutricionist I feed my baby with organic food (and she looked at me like I was fanatic)

Then when I told her I make only raw purees she told me that babies can't digest raw fruits and foods, and that I have to cook it, cause babies can digest easier cooked foods (digest easier?! with no enzyme left?! not to mention vitamin and mineral depletion, and molecular and chemical changes)

And when she asked me why I don't want to give my baby cooked foods, - I said that it's only normal that I wanna provide te best for my baby, and isn't it true, that foods in their raw state are healthiest and being so, wouldn't then be the only logical thing to give raw foods insted of cooked and she said "Yes that's true, the raw is the healthiest...but"...and then she again started advocating cooked vs. raw foods, even after she has just agknowledged few seconds ago that raw is the best (weird logic huh)

So to cut the story short they looked at me like a fanatic, I'm sure they would be much happier if I stuffed my baby with Big Mc's or sth like that (even though they themselves admit that cooked is far inferior nutritinally wise )

So I learned my lesson, now I just nod, nod and nod, and when my peditrician now asks me have I started giving meat, I nod....it's best to just nod, and then just do what you want...less hassle, less stress  ohyeah

I heard on some other forum, actually one mom complained that her bestfriend was babysitting for her daughter, and secretly behind her back took her daughter to social service and told them that her friend is feeding her with raw foods, and the social service took mothers legal right to make medical or dietary choises for her kid, and even though a year has passed they (social workers) are still on her case

Welcolme Arijel5. I'm all for telling the truth but I do wonder if, against such ignorance and opposition that we would be better off lying. *sigh*

This thread was started a long time ago. Amy now has her baby back and has had another one since. They are all doing very well.
