High all!!!  ha!

So, I am at school and we just had a lecture on Neurology, it was great.  Got me excited to think about what things we can consume which would be a natural raw high.

I know hemp seed oil effects me, i dont know how though, because THC is supposed to come about during the cooking process??

I know excercise is a huge one.  There is something called 'the joggers high'... great for anyone with depression.

What else is there.

Cacao, thats a good one.  Subtle though.
Maca...again really quite subtle.

I asked my lecturer if there was a test similar to a bloodtest to check to see what out chemical levels in our brain were... alas, it does not exist yet... they do offer blood dying offset with radiographs, but this is costly and not really something easily done like a bloodtest.

SO,  yeah, any body have any experience with anything like this??/

Hi Paul,

I'm really into herbs and botanicals at the moment that have slightly psychoactive properties. There's a raw food movement here in the uk that is well into all this. There are a couple of websites I could recommend - am I allowed to? Perhaps pm you. Some lovely herbs and foods - nothing sinister. Purple corn is big here. I have a spoon of that in my gs some days and it is very calming. Etherium gold is a supplement that some of the raw sites here sell. It's pretty amazing stuff - claims to connect the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Sounds odd but I have to say that it really increases my intuition. Kate Wood makes a raw choc bar with e gold in it. In fact, she uses quite a number of psychoactive ingredients in her chocolate. Have you read Naked Chocolate? Shazzie and DW talk about which foods complement cacao for natural highs.

ggx

ps can't argue with any of Neet's suggestions - they're great!!!

paul i drink rain water thats filtered through the finest micron filter...and its delicious...i do buy bottled spring water, simply for convenience when out and about...when i can i drink from glass not plastic, but it isnt always practical and it is heavy to carry particulary when running outdoors...cant comment on the steam or charcoal filters dont know anything about em,sorry love..
agave nectar is great if you are whipping up choc delights and exotic gourmet type raw food as is cacao butter,i dont have either...as you know i eat high fruit, and fruit is already naturally sweet....for me fruit in abundance gives me a wonderful high..running up the hills in the crisp cold air, watching the sunrise this morning gave me a huge rush....hiking up a mountain and conquering it is a high...
eating durian and having the best day ever, gives me a massive high too...just ask Harley hes seen me devour durian with such incredible bliss, that he was laughing at me! evil
my body is incredible receptive and sensitive to any stimuli...so it doesnt take much to get me buzzing, the simplest of things really...
any body work, myofascial and massage is a wonderful langorous(sp?) high too...

Hey guys thank you for your lovely words....sometimes i know i am just full of it :rolleyes:but at least im consistently full of it...hee hee

Wow, exciting to see so many natural things that people get a natural high from.   Neet, awesome list!  Yeah, I agree there are so many things in life that are just waiting to be fully taken in....

Being in love (whether with someone, the world, life) is a good one.

Paul, I've noticed blue-green algae/manna in this raw ice cream I ate made me feel "happier".  The ice cream was scrumptious.

I've been meaning to order blue-manna and incorporate it into my diet - will be ordering it soon.

I used to raise sick, injured and orphaned wildlife, rehabilitate birds and other animals back to health and then release them back into the wild... the feeling of watching a magnificent bird soar into the sky is an amazing natural high at any time but when you know it is because of you that this creature is still alive, it is truly sublime.

Life in general puts me on a high these days!!  cheesy

Chemicals don't make us high, they just stimulate organs in our bodies to secrete chemicals that make us high (subject to the availability of entrained cellular receptors). Given the mind/body connection, it follows that "feeling high" can be achieved by the appropriate mental and physical activities. For example, in Japan they use ultra cold freezing rooms as a treatment for intractable pain sufferers. They strip off, enter the room (minus xxx degrees) for 2 minutes (apparently 5 minutes would mean death), and then come out. The effect is a massive rush of endorphines and encephalines which totally anethsetises (sp?) the patient for the rest of the day... a more powerful high than morphine, they say.

Apologies for going all analytical amidst all the lovely whimsey.

Cacao, thats a good one.  Subtle though.

For me Paul, Cacao is anything but subtle but I'm sensitive to everything.  I can become extremely ecstatic after eating a durian but cacao I actually have to be careful with because it can be too harsh.  The last time I had too much cacao I was skipping and running around the streets at 3am in the morning, for me it really feels like a drug in every sense of the word, I would not go out in public in that state because people would 'know' there was something wrong with me especially when I can't stop giggling and smiling to myself for no reason...I've never tried hemp oil, maybe I shouldn't!

wow, thanks for all the posts, they are great to hear.

Goji Girl: yes please send me a pm. This is what I was looking for.
Brett: Yeah, thats cool.  I like that.  Keep it coming.
Rosal: blue green manna, I havent had any experience with it, but will read up on it more... I have read a number of articles on blue green algae not really being a hygienic food.  have you heard this?
Miss long: I cant believe you are sooo sensitive to cacao... its so interesting isnt it!  you sound funny.  3am runs eh???  ha!  yeah thats cool.
karen: I really want to surf...i reckon that would be really exhilarating.
beckyji:  breastfeeding??? childbirth??? i can only imagine...
becca:  yes, the ocean is quite the cleansing cure.  and yeah, I think because its so full on, that you really need to be in the moment and pay attention, otherwise the waves dump your ass and soak ya./  it can be brutal sometimes.  depending on where you swim i guess.

Thanks for your replies.
I think we have become so confined with our intake of foods these days because of society and its limitations - in the wild we probably would rely on more things like herbs and botanicals - especially ones that make us feel good!!!!!

I had a sore tooth the other week, I popped a few cloves in my mouth and it was a great anesthetic.

alright i gotta sleep.

living on low fat raw vegan and feeling everything with increased sensitivity! i was so high last night i got out of bed and went for a ride under full moon.

having a butterfly land on my vegan tatto whilst i was holding a durian on a mountian in malaysia last year was pretty 'high inducing' too.

im into being off my face every day and never coming down!

what we seek artificially, is ours naturally.

cant wait to ride back from sydney accross the hay plain with lyrics blasting, nature knocking and blood pumped with raw fructose power!
