Couldn't agree more RawAussie

We would encourage anyone who can get up there to help Australia's longest running non profit raw organisation to keep helping people. They do a great job at helping all kinds of people heal, regain their health and learn about living foods from an Anne Wigmore perspective. Can't remember off hand what their prices are like, but I'm sure it's got to be a case of "1 cent of prevention is worth a million in cure" compared to hospital rates!

There's rumors too that there's a couple of smaller places (like B&B's) doing raw weekends in Victoria, but will have to confirm. We'll be happy to let everyone know as soon as we've found out more.

Viva La Raw!

Found it!

The place in Victoria is called Continental House and they have a site at www.continentalhouse.com.au. I'd love to hear back from anyone who's been there!

Hi All,
I'm actually flying into Brisbane the 17th of November w/ a friend for 10 days.  We are attending  a Women's Retreat at Living Valley Springs, north of Brisbane, about 2 hours, I think.

At the same time, we'll be receiving the treatments of lymphatic massage, regular massage, facial, sauna, see an ND, and see what life changes need to happen.  It's a center that has ND's and serves raw food, and vegan. One can see an ND and get medical tests too, if one is sick.

Believe it or not, California [where I live] has just passed a law allowing ND's to practice.  They've been illegal for years thanks to the strong AMA here.

Anyway, you may want to check out the site.  http://www.lvs.com.au/

I did the 10 day challege and got to 5 days.  It convinced me that is the way to go...100% raw.  I'm starting over again....one day at a time.
ps.  BTW,  just wanted to mention not everyone in the States voted for Bush.
Best!

Way to go Karen!

Consider how much more alive, juicy undamaged nutrients you would have given yourself over those five days compared to normal. The great thing about this is now you've given yourself a great benchmark to aim past and your body some great nutrition.

Would you do us a favour?

Whenever you're ready and it's appropriate for you move forward with your next ten day challenge and when you get to day *six* do something great for yourself to celebrate! Share it on the forum and we'll celebrate by sending you something from the Pleasureshop, too. The important thing here is to celebrate the moment you get further than before. Don't wait for day 10!

The other thing I'd like to add here is that this is moving forward to a new challenge. There is no starting again on the 10 Day Challenge because you are always a different person with different lessons and even a different body (did you know that every single cell in your eyes is replaced every 48 hours?). Bring what you learnt from previously to your next challenge and you'll always have moved forward. There is no "starting over" or "going backwards", only the speed of moving forwards that's right for you.

Congratulations for starting the ten day challenge, and congratulations all the more for making the decision to start your next challenge. It's the decision to get started on the second challenge in life that carries even more power than the first, because its then that we've either gotten what we want and are ready for the next level, or we've been given the lessons we need to do better than ever before.

Either way, you kicked booty in my books!  cool

The closest thing I've come accreoss to a "raw" health retreat in Oz is the Life Force Health Retreat in byron Bay. It's around the $1700 / wk mark so pretty pricey. and i've had no first hand experience with them so you may pay for alot of pampering etc...
There's a good 'health farm' in QLD that was mentioned on another post....

hope that helps
