That's fantastic! I wish we in Australia would be more public in our protest against animal cruely and exploitation.

I remember watching the Spanish News on SBS and the Spaniards did the same kind of protest last year.

Thats fantasitic.

I had a great idea for a similiar protest - to put plastic babies on sticks that look like spit-roast pigs...

At the next peta protest for sure

that would be very powerful MG...do it!! i love getting more into this...its strong and powerful, and makes some people stop at least for a second and think..

last night in the mall, waiting for my raw friend as he chatted to his mates...and a young guy around 16 was walking past with his mum...and she was saying "you are vegetarian, you will be getting sick"...and he was saying strongly "i never get sick"....why on earth wouldnt she be supporting him,is it too confronting for her,,,hmm they do say that misery loves company, ohh dear dont rock the boat...let push the boat over i say...dump em all out and start again new and a fresh!!

this reminds me the other day i was at the local fruit and veg and the butchers is next door.  My 6 year said he would wait outside for me.  i finished my shopping and headed outside where my son was standing bailing people up who were trying to go into the butcher telling them he was a vegetarian and he did not need to eat meat.

I thought that was a pretty powerful message.

yeah he comes home from school after they have been telling him meat is an essential part of a healthy diet and he says to me "they are just wrong!" :)

I guess he is living proof.

Now I am getting more and more raw food into his diet there will be no stopping him.

Nice one Rachan - I spent a few hours in the human battery cage a few weeks ago when it was in Perth, it was a great experience!

MG, what a protest that would be. I have to say though that as a mother, I would find that image way too disturbing. I don't know if you are a parent but I'd say that most people with kids might find the image so strong that they don't see what the protest would be about.

correct jen, im with you. we live in a society that cant face the facts where its food comes from. we like to shy away from the reality..

imagine if they slaughtered cows in the mall...
imagine if people had to touch the cows breasts everytime they wanted milk.
or wash the chickens body fluids off the egg. but i guess thats pointless cos we are eating the chickens body fluids anyway..

pick'n fruit n vegies or crack'n nuts with rocks..now thats fun!

im just rambling..lol!

Harl's this is so true. I have a friend who calls herself an animal lover and to be fair to her she treats her pets like gold. But she calls herself a hypocritical animal lover because she doesn't believe that she can live without eating meat. But she can't eat "meat that looks like animal". Her words. She can't eat anything with bones like a t-bone for example and she won't eat a piece of chicken if she can see a vein on it or skin. It brings home what she is doing and makes her feel sick. We would all be sick if only we knew how our meat was produced.

My friend lives on protein shakes?
