Back in October 2004 after attending a powerful seminar I had decided to get back into fitness big time.

I have decided to take up TAEBO so that I can build on my muscle strength with Billy Blanks...

Fantastic!

That's a great reminder to us all that both nutrition AND exercise are the keys to balancing health. Tae-Bo is great fun, too! I trained in capoeira (a brazillian martial art) and can definately recomemend bringing in any kind of martial arts influence to your work out. It makes it so much more fun and invigorating. The sense of really mastering a move is a great motivation to keep on working out.

Congratulatoins on your fresh start Louis! We're cheering you all the way!

Shows how out of touch I am...have never even heard of TAEBO  (Though I've heard of capoeira)  What does it involve?

I know peole rave about re-bounding.  Anyone doing this?  (Sorry to hijack the thread a bit)

I'm "seriously considering" getting up before the kids to go to the pool & swim whilst summer lasts.  True - it doesn't make sense to only focus on diet & not on exercise too...Though pushing my close to 40KG double pram around is pretty good exercise, I think I could cope with something more now...

Way to go Lois!! Please let us know how it goes.  Exercise is such a critical part of overall health - it's great that you're focusing on it! If you love it let me know and I might see if I can pick up a set too - I always wanted to try it.

And Caramba... a 40 kg pram definitely counts as exercise!! Swimming in the morning sounds absolutely delightful too... I'm sure it's also great for moving lymph and cleansing the blood too with the pressure of the water on your skin. Forget that though and just focus on how beautiful it is!!

Piers and I were having trouble fitting in exercise last year... so we made a new years resolution to add a 3 hour morning block to our routine (sometimes it takes us 5 hours, but often only 3.5)!!

Here's how it works:

1 hour exercise
1 hour personal development (goals for year, photo reading, Tony Robbins CD's etc)
30 minutes planning our day
15 minutes cleaning house
15 minutes building house (finding neat new things to do - eg putting up photos)
15-30 minutes food prep (this includes taking care of sprouts and wheatgrass, and usually making one salad and one dressing for the day)

To make this happen we've been getting up at 4:30, so we're still ready to start work in our home office by 9 am. It's amazing how much this has changed our life. Things that normally would have taken us 6 months to get to (the nice to have but not REALLY important) are being done on almost a daily basis. We even use a kitchen timer for each block!

This week I started doing Bates Method eye exercises for a mild case of astigmatism (I've never worn glasses).and Piers has been planning all the magnificent things he wants to do in 2005.

It's amazing what the gift of a little time will do!!

Good night everyone!

Rebounding is AMAZING!! It's a foundation at the Hippocrates Institutes around the world (based on the original Ann Wigmore techniques for personal healing). They consider it absolutely critical to the healing process because of how amazing it is to move lymph through the body... it really helps clean you out! Even better than one of those lymphatic drainage massages!

Piers and I loved rebounding, and always had one. Then when we got married my sister and her partner gave us a full size trampoline! I highly recommend it! Kids love it too!

Hi All,

My husband and I do Peter Ragnar's Magnetic Qi Gong every day.  We really like it and you feel so much better after doing it.  [edited]

Have a great raw energy day!
