is santa monica close to san francisco? and are either of the date places you mentioned near s. f.?

santa monica is near beverly hills in los angeles southern california.

san fran has more date vendors anywhere outside of the middle east..berkely, oakland, san fran farmers markets and most of the organic shops have california dates. ive never seen more!

what part of australia are you in? alice springs grows a great date and adelaide is the easiest place to tuck in to em outside of alice. byron bay santos has em as well.

i was going to be there in march in alice but commitments changed to costa rica..

how did you travel up from Costa Rica to the States?
By plain, bus or bike? ^_^

i rode seattle to los angeles then flew to brisbane and rode byron to adelaide then flew adelaide sydney and back to los angeles for a few days riding around and then flew to costa rica. will fly back to los angeles from here to sydney and then ride sydney adelaide, then fly to thailand and ride down to malaysia and fly back to adelaide then ride around australia and be back in adelaide for loquat season..

try and offset my air miles via cycling to and from airports and across australia when i have more than 2 days to be somewhere..
and further offset em by spreading the raw vegan message to strangers every day i meet in the street eating fruit that is sweet..

I hope you are part of a frequent flyer points system harls.....   racking up the points with all that travelling  !!

i cut mine up into the recycling 2 years ago..

We flew free to Canada last time... frequent flyer miles are really good for people that fly often. Most are free too. YAHHH!! That was like $6,000 saved. Yahhh Air Canada!

You don't need a credit card. Certain companies have frequent flyer programs. Think of them like FlyBuys. You just use the card when you travel and collect points. Points can be used for travel. I am in Air Canada's program, Asia Miles, and Qantas (the only one I had to pay to join). I have now flown free to Canada (it works out to pay three times and fly once for me) and have enough in Qantas to fly to Fiji too. Cool!!!

Just look up the programs above. Even better most have partner airlines, so you might fly with any one of many to get points. I never fly with a certain airline to get points, however still rack up the points.

i have afriend who does heaps of flying. i asked how he manages to always get on a plane with FFP - he says he always books and pays for an economy seat then uses the points to upgrade - guaranteed to get on whatever flight you want and has never been knocked back for an upgrade.

ive heard this too...cool way to fly i reackon...with all the travelling that will be ahead

i lived in venice which is down the road from santa monica, i used to love the farmers market! you are making me get the travelling bug again durianrider. it would be different being raw. sounds like a doco. when i finish the one i'm doing at the moment i'll see if your interested.
