Title: 5 Daily Gratitudes Post by: princessbee on Tuesday 29 May, 2007 I got this idea from a livejournal community. Hope it isn't too repetitious of the best day ever thread, but that is really Grant's thread that I have hijacked. :)
The idea is every day you write here 5 things you are grateful for that day. I think this sort of thing has a very powerful impact of helping you shift thoughts to positive and constructive ones, help lift you up out of a rut Maybe it can be actual things... maybe it can be things you desire to happen. Maybe it can be things you want for someone else. It can be big or small. Smaller can even be better because you notice the little things you sometimes take for granted. Today I am grateful for: 1. My kitten, Angilie. As a siamese, she has a LOT to say and sometimes that drives me a bit crazy in the mornings when I'm rushing around getting ready. But she is so loyal to me and will not even eat her dinner until I have given her cuddles and she curls up by my side every night and we hug each other and she is my truest friend 2. That I am so wealthy and able to afford to do things I want such as yoga, massages, facials, shopping 3. That my literacy levels are so high and I have the opportunity to become immersed in the incomparable pleasures of a good book (I am reading The Lovely Bones right now. It's amazing but very sad) 4. For those sweet, beautiful, juicy persimmons, tamarillos and mango I ate this morning and got everywhere 5. That I was able to share green smoothies with someone who has found them a benefit to their lives Title: Re: 5 Daily Gratitudes Post by: Jenergy on Tuesday 29 May, 2007 What a great thread Peebs.
1. I'm grateful for every morsel of food that I'm lucky to eat. Even when I fall off the wagon I'm better off than many in the world. 2. I'm grateful for two healthy children. 3. I'm very very grateful to my husband who supports me in everything that I do including raw. 4. That I have a computer that is high quality with high speed broadband so I can keep up with you all. 5. To Sheryl and Piers for starting this forum and the shop too. xoxoxox Title: Re: 5 Daily Gratitudes Post by: xx on Tuesday 29 May, 2007 Oh where to start....
1. I am grateful for being alive.... 2. I am grateful for my two beautiful children (who yes, can sometimes drive me crazy...lol) 3. I am exceptionally grateful for all the love that has been shown to me by all the beautiful people here... 4. I am grateful for my mandarin tree having branches absolutely full of the most sweetest fruit ever!!!! 5. And finally, I am grateful for every day of my life getting better, and better.... xxxx Title: Re: 5 Daily Gratitudes Post by: Savvy Womyn on Tuesday 29 May, 2007 I love this idea. I do this every night before I go to sleep. I keep a journal beside my bed. Then I re-read it in the morning to start my day in a positive way.

1. Reading over everyone's appreciation to what means so much to THEM that made me feel so real, emotional, and loving, all at once with giggles, tears and understanding! Thank you to each and everyone of you and for the rest who shall share themself in future postings. 2. That I still have my brother after so many close family passings, that one could not imagine while still having their close ones nearby. Bro, for the laughs, chats and rekindling we are now making, when a decade ago it seemed impossible but now magical thank you and blessings. 3. For my kitty cat, Tessa who is smart being that she has learnt english to help us both understand each other more, and that she is ultimately beautiful plus without fail that she is going on 12 and still can act and be 3 yrs old again and again and again! x 4. That I was able to be aware enough at the age of 17-18 to realise that basic nutrition was and is the answer to all of life's answers. Well at least to begin the journey to realise this and to now learn who I am now as a person, and find myself here amongst some of the strongest and most inspiring people I have ever heard from.. Again thank you all. In return I hope to improve myself further to help you all if need be and anyone else who is willing to listen to constructive communication towards bettering themselves in their own life journey. 5. For being me! Title: Re: 5 Daily Gratitudes Post by: aztecbabe on Monday 15 September, 2008 1. For discovering raw. It has been the most empowering, 'right', and peace creating thing i have ever come across. And the internet, without which i would never of been able to access it. 2. Raw-pleasure. the site i visit most by far. The community here is so informative, loving and supportive. 3. My partner. A new suprise in my life, and i love him more deeply every day I get to be with him. 4. To be an Australian in 2008. I dont think there is a more privelaged position to be in - to be born without chains or any obstruction of basic human rights, to take for granted freedom, running water, healthcare and information - every need or want i could ask for. And to have access to and the ability to do/have anything i want - a pretty piece of fruit, travel to anywhere in the world, culture, etc - all at my fingertips. The freedom to decide who/how/what i want to be in life - has there ever been a time in history that a 35 year old girl can do that? 5. My body. The millions of injustices that i throw at it every day, and it just keeps going and going, repairing and continuing on. what an amazing creature. Nature is a miracle. |
