Title: Personal Message Replies
Post by: VegiesMakeMeSmile on Wednesday 13 June, 2007
Hi Piers,

When clicking the link at the bottom of a notification to reply to the last 5 or 6 PMs I've received I have been taken correctly to 'my messages' but the person automatically filled in in the 'to field' is completely wrong.

I tried twice for Dani from separate messages and was given "Lucy" as the user name.  I've just tried twice for PrincessBee and got 2 different user names each time.  I forget what the other one or two were.

I'll leave it with you as I can always change the user name, but if people don't notice the system might be sending messages to unintentional recipients with perhaps unwanted consequences.

Love
May

This happened to me today too! I tried to reply to one person and another came up in the 'to' section! How funny. There was nothing personal in there but oh my if there were!

Thanks for posting May, I'd forgotten!

xoxoxo

I've double checked this with May. The link in the email notifications for personal replies is not prefilling the correct name in the new personal message.

Everyone should either only reply from the online system, OR double check who their pm's are addressed to when using the email notifications to reply until we get this looked into.

Thanks May for letting us know this was happening.

Cheers,
Sheryl

This happened to me last week, and unfortunately the message didn't get through to the person because I didn't check the name properly. Sadly I didn't get to meet some lovely perth friends while I was there. Never mind, but hopefully this lets people know that they need to check the name when replying.
