Title: Makeup and face cream Post by: rainbowraw on Tuesday 07 August, 2007 I've noticed since i have gone raw that any makeup or cream i put on my face makes me have a reaction to them. I get really red flushes and my face feels hot for the rest of the day. This to me proves the chemicals in those products. I still have a few acne scars to hide but since my face is clearing im going without now. I still use the occasional eyeliner and mascara and lipgloss thats about it. The colour in my face is even on its own now.
I now use leftover smoothies as my facials or avacado mask on my face to brighten it and the avocado once rinsed makes me look like im already wearing face cream. Title: Re: Makeup and face cream Post by: Jenergy on Friday 10 August, 2007 That's such a great idea. Using the smoothies I mean. I haven't worn any cosmetics for awhile either. I don't want to! I did have a moment when Bill and I went out for dinner. I felt very bare with nothing on my face. Like I'd made no effort. But once I was out I forgot all about it and had a GREAT time!!!

Title: Re: Makeup and face cream Post by: VegiesMakeMeSmile on Tuesday 28 August, 2007 I've never used foundation or face powders and people were always commenting on how beautiful my skin was. I think leaving it clear to breathe was the best thing I ever did for it.
I've just received today in the mail some jojoba wax (it's not an oil they tell me) and have put some on my face and arms and it feels fantastic. Much better than coconut oil which I did try for a while but if I put any on my forehead it used to run into my eyes and make my vision blurred - not good! I will try the jojoba on my lips for a while and see how we go because that is THE ultimate test for any moisturiser. My lips are dryer than a lizards back leg in the middle of a dessert so if it improves those I'll be using it for life!!! If you want the website addy PM me. I got it from somewhere else on the forum here the other day - I think in the 'help! losing too much weight' (or words to that effect) thread. I still wear mascara and eye liner. Don't think that will ever change as my eyelashes are so dreadfully light, particularly behind glasses. Love May |
