Title: What is suitable for diabetes and stroke patients on heaps of drugs
Post by: lovefood on Thursday 20 September, 2007
Hi, all

I want to know what is suitable for a relative of mine who is a diabetes and having recent stroke. He is also on a lot of drugs. I have advised him to eat more green salad. Obviously he is very ignorant in the field of natural health. He is a cooked person.

I think, for him things can only proceed slowly, and it also depends on whether he wants to follow my advice. If he came to me for advice, then I could only advice to the best of my ability. But if he listened to someone else, then there is nothing that I could do.

He is already juicing vegetables with celery and Chinese broccoili with some apples. In the first month, he has got very loose stool. In the second month, his stool was hardened. Afterwards he got another stroke and was sent to hosiptal. Now I advised him to eat more greens, in the form of green salad. It is such a great lifestyle change for him already.

What I see is he is getting more acidic and his veggie juice is not potent enough to neutralize the acid waste. May be he has started too late. Is there anything as too late in natural health. If the patient is still breathing, is there a chance?

Any comments here are all welcome. Thank you very much.

"Where there is life, there is hope."

I don't know who said that but I love it and believe. While he's still breathing, there's still hope. Is it Type I or Type II diabetes? I know that Victoria Boutenko's son Sergei had Type I (Insulin-dependent) diabetes; when he was 13 she turned the whole family raw and took him off his insulin. The authorities threatened to take him away because they considered this child-abuse but he did not go into a coma or suffer diabetic shock or anything like that... he is now a very healthy young man who tours the world extolling the benefits of raw food... just stick them in Google and you will find their website, books etc.

Like you said, you can only give advice - if you try to force things on him he will probably get defensive and ignore you. I guess it comes down to how serious he is about wanting to get better!
