Title: starting my 30 day fast Post by: shelby1965 on Monday 08 October, 2007 hello everyone! I'm going to start my fast tomorrow. I did a 30 day fast 7 years ago, felt great and stayed healthy for about 2 years. Since then, my world has drastically changed. With those changes, I've become tired, bloated, achey, apathetic, foggy, unfocused, uninvolved.
But, I'm blessed with a sense of awareness and I'm aware that I need to detoxify my life beginning with my body. I don't have anyone offline that I'll be sharing this with, so I hope I can use this forum for support- Thanks for having this site - I am grateful. I'm doing well. Have a horrible headache but that only makes me more resolved because I know I need to get these toxins out of me. I have quite a bit of energy today...cleaned and tackled the laundry (my least favorite chore ever). I've spent hours on the internet reading up on eating raw. I'm almost positive that I want to make the change when I'm done with my fast. I ate a strictly vegetarian diet for almost 5 years when I was in my twenties. Now that I'm fasting, I'm doing a lot of thinking and that thinking is making me cry. That's VERY unusual for me, I'm known for being stoic (well, that's the polite word), and I keep my emotions buried (usually under a ton of food). But toxins aren't just chemical are they? Thanks for all the support - Shelby Title: Re: starting my 30 day fast Post by: BerryBliss on Tuesday 09 October, 2007 Well done Shelby, day one a sucess :yahh:
The headaches are normal as to oare the emotions...if you look in my journal you will see I have been on a rollercoaster, I also have some great sites you can visit.... http://www.juicefasting.org/ (http://www.juicefasting.org/) http://www.freedomyou.com/level%202/Fasting%20Page%20Guide.htm (http://www.freedomyou.com/level%202/Fasting%20Page%20Guide.htm) Just go with your emotions, look deep inside, you are not only cleansing your body but also you spirit, past issies will come up, dont be afaid to talk about them here, this forum is VERY supportive, I will help as much as I can. Write down everything, it really does help. Make sure you drink heaps of water, and go for gentle walks when feeling down, when you get the energy boosts I would suggest going for a power walk...you feel amazing. Hope your second day is fantastic, there is something we can learn each day on our journey. Love to you my fasting twin BB XXX Title: Re: starting my 30 day fast Post by: RawGreenGoddess on Tuesday 09 October, 2007 welcome Shelby....one day at a time...
