Title: Sprouted Breads Post by: birdcall on Thursday 25 October, 2007 Just wondering if they are raw, and how they fit into a raw food diet...
Are they more of a transition food or something that can be eaten when striving for 100% raw? Cheers!! Title: Re: Sprouted Breads Post by: No-Frontiers on Thursday 25 October, 2007 Hi birdcall,
they are known as a transitional food and are great for newbies in Raw (reminding you the dry taste of cooked) - they have slightly alkalizing effect while soaking/sprouting process (try Spelt, Rye mixture) occurs so not acidity like cooked Grains... you can eat em as a 'now and then' food and enjoy them on a 100% raw food as they arent cook-heated when dehydrated at 40 degrees... when there (100 raw) your body will automaticly give you the best answer you were looking for (usually striving for lighter foods)... good look, Iv Title: Re: Sprouted Breads Post by: birdcall on Thursday 25 October, 2007 Hey thanks for your reply nofrontierstour!! :)
I'm making the shift into raw and feel really lucky to have found this forum. I've been browsing around and can't believe how supportive and helpful everyone is. You can really feel the love!!! I think rawfoodists must be helping to build a better world  Title: Re: Sprouted Breads Post by: durianrider on Friday 26 October, 2007 but the essene breads you buy in australia..they are all cooked.
ive eat'n some nice raw breads in my travels. but nothing fuels, satisfies, gives sufficient volume, nutrition, digestion etc like a mono meal of my fav fruit when im hungry till im full... raw breads are a lot o work..fruit you just eat and go! lol! |
