Title: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: Alice Pineapple Head on Tuesday 20 November, 2007 Hi everyone,
We're trying to get a bit of a raw gang together in Melbourne. We had a fantastic picnic together last Saturday, yummy foods and sunshine (maybe too much sunshine...). So I've started a Melbourne meetup.com group to find more Melbourne rawbies and to organise more get togethers. :ohyeah: I think it would be awesome if we had all sorts of variety for our meet ups. If anyone wants to run a green smoothie or raw uncooking class or give a talk on raw or host a get together or whatever else you can think of, or even just come to the get togethers, let me know or just come and join on meetup.com. I hope this is ok to post this here. Please take it down or ask me to edit and I'll be happy to if its not ok to mention another website like this. We're having a picnic on the 8th of December at 1pm. Please RSVP on the meetup group so I can keep track of who is coming. Yay Melbourne RAW!! :yahh: :yahh: :yahh: Title: Re: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: Osianna on Wednesday 21 November, 2007 Hello ALICE Pineapple HEAD!

I migh be forced to arrive on my bicycle or train/cycle combe, so will have possibly no chance of bringing some great looking and tasting food, I just wanna meet You all and exchange the ideas and experiences, and participate in Melbourne rawing. see You all saturday. Title: Re: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: waxlyrical_kate on Friday 07 December, 2007 Hi Melburians,
I'm from Perth but will be visiting your lovely state for 2 weeks over Christmas. Do you have any tips for where to pick up good fruit and veg, and raw products? Are there any cafe's where you can get a raw meal? Also, on the off chance someone knows - are there any good places to get larger size clothing that isn't the usual shopping center ones (beme, 1626 etc)? Thanks so much! Kate Title: Re: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: VegiesMakeMeSmile on Friday 07 December, 2007 Don't spend too much on that clothing Kate - you won't need it for longer than 5 minutes, I promise you!!! Or is it for someone else?
Love and Joy May Title: Re: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: waterberry on Friday 07 December, 2007 Looking forward to tomorrow :D
Rudy - yay will be great to meet you! Kate there used to be a shop in one of the arcades off Bourke St, I think maaaaybe it was the Walk Arcade. Boutique clothing store for larger sizes. Title: Re: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: waterberry on Thursday 20 December, 2007 Well I had to go look up where Toolangi was..... looks like a very nice drive through the pasture lands.
I haven't been out past Yering / Coldstream in a long while :) Count me in if that's what we're doing in January! Title: Re: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: Alice Pineapple Head on Thursday 27 December, 2007 Hey,
So I'm trying to write the meet up details for the 1st of Jan on the meetup.com page but I've never been to Lilydale lake so I don't know where to say we should meet. Rudolph? Where do you think? My laptop died so I've got this small window of opportunity using a different computer. Meetup will automatically email every one in the next day or so, so I'd better say something  All Melbourne rawbies who want to come meet up at Lilydale Lake on New Years Day for a picnic and a paddle/walk/bike ride/frisbee throw/whatever you like, I'll post the details here when they're finalised and/or come and join the meetup.com group for our Melbourne raw meet ups. Title: Re: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: Rudolf on Friday 28 December, 2007 Hi Alice, I know the meeting details are now up at meetup.
If the weather is going to be tooo hot, I will probably stay hiding indoors, will decide on a day. Title: Re: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: Rudolf on Saturday 29 December, 2007 I was there this morning, was OK but by noon it become like overheated pot, and nearly everybody left before 12.
with the weather prediction, I strongly suggest to cancel this outing, or move it somewhere indoor Title: Re: Melbourne Raw Group Post by: waterberry on Sunday 30 December, 2007 Aye, very similar day predicted for Jan1, 37 just like yesterday.
I spent the day in the southern ocean. Much cooler. I'm not going to be able to make any meetup on Jan 1 either - my interstate friends are abducting me for fun and hilarity. |
