Title: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: aguacate on Monday 03 March, 2008 a lot of you said you were into it.
i'm starting tomorrow. this is the official thread to share experiences and give support. 92 days... it says it ends on june 5th. i guess i'm doing mine for 90 days. or is there any reason why there is 92 days? curious if anyone is taking the suppliments or enema or what the reason is for doing either? oh and also what is the difference between a juice fast and a juice feast? is a juice fast just extracted juices and a juice feast can contain blended fruits? tthat's what i gathered anyway.. not sure if that's the correct explanation. good luck everyone. =) Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: Rudolf on Monday 03 March, 2008 hello beautifull watermellons holder
I reckon that the word feast is supposed to reinforce, that this is not deprivation or limiting of nutrinets etc, so tyhe body is actually geeting all it needs and it is for body like special treats, and the volume of juices is being quite high in the attempt to overfloww the body with liquidized goddies. the word fast means restriction and so is not for everybody and not very long etc. There is stricly no fibres, so no blending, no smoothies etc, and it says that sonme fruit simpkly are not possible to juice, since it is all soaked fibre not possible to separate the juice - or to extract it. I sometimes try to blend the nonjuicable fruits and than separate the juice from that stuff through the siev, but very little juice is extracted and often fibres comes through as well. Banas are example of nonjuicable fruit, which means 92 days juicing is banana free period - I reckon this is the mani reason for healing, feeling better, gaining health and fitness etc   Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: Sanghama on Monday 03 March, 2008 I took the 92 days to mean 31 days March + 30 days April + 31 days May = 92
I figure I'll finish when I'm meant to, whenever that may be. Thanks Agua for starting this, and happy juicing. Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: artymama on Monday 03 March, 2008 I was going to start, but our juicer is broken and we need to get a transformer for our vitamix...........so next weekend will be it.
Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: aguacate on Monday 03 March, 2008 does that mean that when you blend bananas with wanter it is not a juice?
Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: Rudolf on Monday 03 March, 2008 banana with water is a smoothie, however much water You add to make it liquidy.
Juice is when there is zero fiber present, so needs to be from quality juicer, or sieving few times via very fine siever whatever is blended. Do not confuse smoothies with juices, hat is completely different story. Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: aguacate on Monday 03 March, 2008 so in a 92 day juice feast there is no smoothie drinking? I just assumed there was because i saw them blend all this stuff in a vita mix, but then when they were actually drinking the juice it was like really liquidie and thin like an extracted juice, not like a smoothie would be.
I think it is a really cool idea that so many people are in on this world wide. So I am really excited to be a part of it with raw pleasure, and the world. =) Day One... Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: aguacate on Tuesday 04 March, 2008 Do you think they strained the juice?
Is this a big juice fast... but with more juice then a juice fast and that is why it's called a juice feast? Is that what you just said? I am new to this, so bear with me. As far as my experience with juice fasting/feasting I have not gone more then a couple days without solid foods. I have a few other questions too for rudy or anyone else that can explain to me. first, what is with the enema? I remember you saying rudy one time that you don't think it is safe to do a juice fast without um, expelling of your toxins every morning cuz then all the toxins are just floating around in your system. rudy why do you believe in using honey, and how do you use it? I think i remember hearing that hair grows less fast during a juice fast, which is kind of a bummer because I'm trying to grow my bangs out. =| It's not really that important though. if it's a problem i'll just cut them short again they're in the inbetween stage. I'm curious what everyone's reason is for doing this. I am looking to gain more clarity and focus especially in creative matters in my life. I am at this stage in my life where I really need to focus on my goals, and what this life means to me. As I have cut all former addictions in my life out, i find that I look to food as kind of an escape, and it is something that i am a little ashamed to admit, and i don't tell anyone even though it is painfully apparent. It is time to break that cycle, and I want to see who I am behind the shields. I feel like breaking away from solid foods will help me with my goals and make my life more simple and clear. this summer is going to be a busy one, and the next semester rough while i finish out my maths and general eds so i can transfer to a new school. have not decided what schools to look into, or what I am going to do exactly, so........ i feel like this will help me to eliminate distractions and clear my head. I really need to focus. I haven't been coming to this site very often in the past few months, and when i have, i have not posted. i read the post on the other board, and it just seemed like... i came on, and i went on the site, and i was just like yea.. i think so. I am participating as an aid to clear my head. there are some things I do like, if i am sleepy i will eat something so i can stay awake longer, or if i am bored, or if i am procrastinating. I feel ridiculous to admit that I don't have self control when it comes to these things. it's time to learn my body's natural cycle, and learn to listen to it, and learn to grow into it instead of trying to force it into something else unnatural. Like I said before I love the fact that so many people are in on it. it's like we are in it together, which makes me feel empowered and stronger. I am a loner, and a private person, but i love knowing that i have support. I might be going to costa rica at the end of may... so i'm not sure if I can participate until june 5th because there are so many beautiful fruits i love to experience, but I will play it by ear and see what feels right... =) how much juice does someone usually drink on a juice 'fast' as opposed to a juice 'feast?' I guess from what the site says a feast is 4 quarts a day? Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: paulina on Tuesday 04 March, 2008 Hi !!!
I am doing this juice feast to lose some weight and also to feel better than what I am right now .I think that I might be going through menopause ( no symptons ) just feeling heavy and not energetic at all .I don't know if I will be able to do 92 days , but any time will be a possitive . :yahh: Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: RoarOnRaw on Tuesday 04 March, 2008 Hi everyone,
I would love to join in, but I don't know if mentally I'm ready to do it. So I'll give it a try and see. My only question is though I have been eating cooked food at nights. Is this too much of a jump to go from cooked foods to a juice feast? Will my body "revolt" and will I go back to eating this way after the feast? Or should I be 100% raw first and then do the feast? And I would LOVE to hear what combinations people are making up. Plus, how much juice are we supposed to have per day? Thanks for your help Rita  Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: Rudolf on Tuesday 04 March, 2008 OK, since You asked :
The reason I am doing this, is to do a deeper detox. My goal is to clean body of all garbage which was put into it since I was born. That means all the stuff from the wrong foods, chemicals from foods, the nondigested parts of the foods etc, than also all the chemicals from medicasl drugs, and from synthetic vitamins etc, the residue from all the various antibiotics etc, and the residu from the bacterias and viruses fromm all the ilness period I went through as a child etc, all the residue from all the compulsory vaccinations, al tghe stuff which went into my body via skin, from all the body care product, and from chemicals I was playing with and working with in various jobs and hobbies, like paints etc, and everything which went into my body via lungs... Also tp clean out the body of inferior cells so the new cell can grow perfectly healthy and 100% efficient. All this is of course gradula process, to me ussually hapens in stages, so I have focus periods of time when I do fasting, juicing or very clean solids, do some very strennous exercises etc, and have period when I am bit relax about this, to let the body have a rest from all that detoxing. So this time I expect to go 1 or more levels deeper and make a leap in detox , buty I do not expect it will achieve everything, so I am planning doing this and other stuff periodicaly. Every time I do some of this and clean something in the body, my clarity increases and the emotional bagage is less and less. So Yes I am saying no fibres, just clean juice, if blender is used for some borderline fruits than fine sieving is neccessary to get rid of at least 80-90% of the fibres. Feast is because of the volume of juices every day but also because of using superfoods to to up the nutrients or top get nutrients which are not available from the juices. Honey to me is superfood, right up on top of the super super foods, appart from suplying the glucose level if I feel I need it, this is further complicated with my regime of exercising and sport competitions, but also with the fact that to detox means to me also to burn all the fat, and to burn the fat, the liver needs to fed the glucose and so honey is the best choice to me. Honey contains lots of micronutrients, some of them probably do not even have the name or are not recognized by "science" as yet, and of course lots of known vitamins etc, nurishing in perfect balance the imune system. Some of the other superfoods used during juice feast are : beepolen, spirulina, greenpowders(wheat grass, barley etc), ocean celtic salt or similar, some seeweed products, sometimes oil to clean up the liver,...the whole process is concentrated effort to give body as much of perfect nutrients as possible, to rest digestibve system from fibre, to help clean body with various strategies, like liver cleanses etc. All this means that huge amount of toxins and mucus is eliminated into intestines, and these need to be eliminated out otherwise they will get recycled and poison the body big way (just see how people are suffering who are on multiday fasting and not allowed to wash thier guts with SWF). So it is SWF for me, it is Colonics for those who can afford it and are kinda lazy to it themself or have a salt issue problem, and could be enemas as short cut, and could be also drinking laxative teas. Idea is than minimum 1x every day there is a BM. People affraid of SWF are basicaly emotionaly attached to their toxins as thats the attachement link to their emotional garbage and are not ready to let it go Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: Rudolf on Tuesday 04 March, 2008 Hi everyone, I would love to join in, but I don't know if mentally I'm ready to do it. Thanks for your help Rita  it is all individual, give it a go, at least for few days and have the experience some can jump, some need gradual transition. As for combinatiion - I have a problem with too complicated combinations, yesterday I was making juices and somehow allways drink it before next ingredient come into juicer so had lots of small portions of monojuices from 1 fruit or veg only. It was : pineaple, appless, carrots, apples, cellery+cucumber read the instruction as how to end the juicing feast, what You can eat first and what to eat the following few days etc, there needs to be very clever transtition back to solid foods. Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: aguacate on Tuesday 04 March, 2008 I've done the swf a couple times before. one time i felt really good all day with tons of energy, and another time i think i absorbed all the salt and nothing came out and i felt like crap all day long it sucked... so i never did it again after that because I felt like ugh... what if that happens again?
how do i prevent that from happening? what did i do wrong? You are going to do the swf every day for 92 days? man, rudy that is hardcore. Don't you have to go to work in the morning? Do you just wake up hours before you have to go to work so you can get it all out? thanks for all the info. Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: Rudolf on Tuesday 04 March, 2008 I work from home and am flexible with hours and can work in between dring salt water and ...hehe
No I am doing SWF every day for 92 days, some days I will just drink laxative tea, some days the BM just happens on its own and some days I am just lazy... why sometimes SWF does not succeed - well You might be mineral deficient and teh body decides to use it as better option, the main reason it does not happen is that teh salt was not concentrated enough so it did not create tge reverse osmosis, so put more salt in, and drink as warm-hot as possible, it is also difficult if You eat solid foods like a dinner day before, this should not be issue on juicing, You should however be properly hydrated since the SWF is dehydrating - taking teh water out of the body sio You need to drink a lot, juices are not enough in my view I drink a lot on top of any juices, since the water is used up for SWF, and is used up for detoxing and de-mucusing etc. Title: Re: official global juice feast raw pleasure styles Post by: aguacate on Friday 07 March, 2008 I know I was all gung ho about starting the juice fast/feast, but I didn't even start. I did start, but due to circumstances I could not continue unfortunately. I am starting tomorrow, and am sure I will be successful this time. It was just kind of a unique situation, but I don't feel like giving energy to the excuses and the explaining of myself right now.
good news for me this week though (which was the craziest week ever...) i have a series of three ink wash paintings in an art show this week (my first time ever showcasing my art). because of my unique situation and background, it actually brings a tear to my eye. it has taken a lot of courage for me to get this far, and it's something that some time ago, i never thought i would have the courage enough to believe in myself to do. and something else that i don't want to say yet because it's not set in stone... but it's even better. =) had a crazy midterm of doom in a required general ed class for cal states graduation (american government and politics)... not sure how i did. This teacher loves to give out trick questions. also had a very big mid term assignment due this week for my life drawing class, which I am proud of. so, to conclude this week, i am starting my feast tomorrow with looking to the present of the beginning of a promising career... even though it's not beginning. i suppose every moment in my life before this has brought me to this moment... but i really like to look at it like i am starting off on a clean slate because it makes it all feel more epic. I have this goal, and i am in the process of making it happen. <3 I am starting out my day tomorrow with water. I didn't mean to take up this whole post with barely any juicing, and all about my personal life, but I just wanted to share with my friends. I love how supportive everyone is here, so it just feels comfortable. |
