Title: cravings grounding myself Post by: jess on Monday 21 July, 2008 hi guys, i feel like a little bit of cooked food tonight like potato to ground me, i hardly ever eat cooked food, i dont need to regularly but tonight i really feel like it will help ground me and i can continue being raw. is that ok or is it a good idea to pass through the craving because that would mean i become even stronger being a rawrie. hope this question makes sense. like i havnt been raw for that long (few months this time round) so maybe its a transition thing maybe its the fact that i live in a suburbia/city'ish world and need to come back down to earth once in a while.
I appreciate any comments and help in advance Thankyou love jessie Title: Re: cravings grounding myself Post by: jess on Tuesday 22 July, 2008 please help
is craving cooked food for grounding because im feeling airy fairy and slightly scattered on this coold and rainy day a symptom of detox or a signal that i should just have some cooked food this once? Title: Re: cravings grounding myself Post by: Supriya on Tuesday 22 July, 2008 Feeling airy fairy? How about a really large salad with mized greens, tomatoes, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado and orange juice dressing? Does the trick for me! :)

Worrying about it will probably do more harm than the potato if you don't add cream and condiments you'll probably wonder why you bothered Title: Re: cravings grounding myself Post by: goji girl on Tuesday 22 July, 2008 If I was feeling that way right now, I'd eat:
Baked sweet potato with ground pepper, a big green salad and a raw sunflower seed pate. or... Steamed broccoli and cauliflower with tomatoes, greens and raw pate. Sounds as though you need something nourishing and warming. Root vegetables are very grounding. You could pop some carrots in the pate blend (plus lemon juice/garlic/miso/ground or soaked sunflower seeds/sundried tomatoes/water to blend). If a baked potato is still more tempting then go ahead and eat it. Try and have some raw veg alongside - you can't go wrong with a green salad.
