Now, durian condoms

Jakarta: Durian-flavoured condoms have gone on sale for the first time in pharmacies and on street stalls in Jakarta as part of the fight against HIV/AIDS.

"We've sold about 150,000 pieces in the first week, which isn't bad for a new product," said Christopher Purdy, director of DKT Indonesia, the country's leading condom distributor.

Durian-flavoured Sutra Fiesta-brand condoms are the latest gimmick to socialise the message of safe sex in the world's most populous Muslim country, where an estimated 80,000 new HIV cases are expected this year, primarily among intravenous drug users and sex workers and their clients.

"The problem with condoms in Indonesia is people here are really shy about them, so when you have a durian condom it's something funny and we can get people to talk about them with their friends and their family because it's no longer just about sex," Mr Purdy said.

DKT Indonesia, a non-profit non-government organisation, has been marketing cheap condoms in the country since 1996 as a means of preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and encouraging family planning.

It sold 36.9 million condoms in Indonesia last year, more than half of the 70 million total.

DKT condoms are subsidised; some brands cost only a few cents.

The flavoured condoms have yet to spark complaints from religious leaders, who have objected to some safe-sex campaigns as promoting bad morals.

Actually I am a bit scared to buy something with my credit card in your online store, because when I get the bill it might say 'Purchased from raw-pleasure.com.au" which does sound really suss.

I had a bad enough experience when I bought my mobile phone, the company is called "Naked Communications' and the entry on my bill was "Naked cmtns". Which really did look suss and embarrassing for me to explain.

Quite honestly we never thought of that! You'll be glad to know then that anything purchased from us actually gets billed to our generic, boring sounding company name "Unlimited Group Pty Ltd" instead of our super sexy nom de site "Raw-Pleasure"... That is unless you, personally order from us Raw Aussie, in which case we'll personally do what we can to get it switched to something far more embarrasing!   :blink:

Actually Piers, There are three things on my hit list. They are a nut milk bag, maca cracker, and a coconut grater. So I will have to whisper in Santa's ear, as I wouldn't want to sit on his lap, as I might crush him.

By the way did you get the photo of me that I emailed you? I hope you were not too traumatised by it. When I visit Brisbane again next year I will be alot different to that photo.

I must admit I didn't notice there was a photo attached when I got it but just went back and found it. The great news is that you are going to have one kick a$$ set of before and after photos and that where you're at you'll be able to see some dramatic changes with small but consistant effots (just ask Sheryl - I hardly recognise her old passport photo now  B) ) The awesome thing is that you're already doing it... *now*.

Anyone who strives to be more, give more, enjoy more has my respect. I's a cliche, but I believe it really isn't about how many times you fall down, so much as how many times you get back up and how kind you are to yourself in the process.

Make sure you keep a copy of that photo for yourself, too, as you'll likely not notice the fat loss that happens over time on raw and may even feel like you're not making progress... until you see the massive difference in the old photos!

Yep I have a heap of these photos stored at my place and archived.

I am planning to visit Brissie again in May next year to visit Magnetic island, so sure I will contact you before I travel to Brissie. You might not recognise me. I might have to wear a red rose or something ;) lol But I might wear a tad more clothing than what I am wearing in that photo.

We have confirmed it... durian flavoured condoms are a standard 'flavour' in Bali! *GRIN* Many Apotik's were trolled and the rumour was confirmed!
