Mangoes, grapes and greens
but wouldn't it be sad to have to leave out all the
other yummy raw delights.....

Oh Yes,
I'd like to see the fruit bowl as well.
I have a whole lot of different looking smaller baskets
around the place but one BIG one would look unreal.
Then the bananas could be helping to ripen the avo's
etc.
Like companion planting, you can have companion
keeping/display...........

Hi Paul,
I've spoken to a couple of friends who are definitely
intrested in a picnic AND especially having a look at
what you've done with your place to date.

It was great having a chat with you.
Sounds GREAT what you're doing......
As I went down Lyons Road in the Bus on Friday I tried
to see your land but, as you said, I couldn't......

Well my daughter and I had fabulous raw food and stayed in a
most amazing "villa" at Ubud Sari in Ubud, Bali........
We went for 3 days and stayed for 10.
Hope to go back one day.

Hi Sheryl,
I think the PM has gone....
Oh Well I'm not sure sure about Hawaii now.
Not sure where to BE.
It would be great to be a part of a raw food "community"
being of use to the "cause" somehow  ! ! !

Hey Sandy,
Try "RAW SEATTLE" group.
Just can't think of the web site
it might be www.rawseattle.com but if it's not
just go to google and find it there.
They're a fairly large group and would know about
all the restaurants in the general area for sure...

Hi Veronica and Paul,
Fancy TWO people in the general area.
Actually, I do know of another couple in Valla Paul.

I have a friend in Armidale who I'd like to visit Veronica
but as I've just sold my car and don't intend to get another
right now, I'm not sure how I'd get there.

Where are you 10 mins south of Coffs Paul ?
Is it a place suitable for a picnic ?
I have a friend here, Vicki, who is mostly raw and would
be interested in a potluck.
Only thing is, I can see from your photo that we're all quite
a lot older than you - how does that go for you ? ? ?

Actually, I know a guy in Coffs who was mostly raw last time
I spoke with him.
Turns out I know more than I realised.....

My phone no. is 0427 686 698  or 65 686 698

8  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Is unhulled tahini raw? on: Thursday 26 October, 2006

Hi everyone,
I called all the companies a couple of years ago and they ALL
told me that they have to lightly roast the sesame seeds first cause
in their raw state they gum up the machinery.

So I started making my own tahini.
In my ordinary ole blender.
It takes ages as you can only blend for a little while or it will get
too hot.

While I was in America I was making it in our Vita Mix and it's
MUCH easier but still slow.

A mix of 2 cups unhulled and 3 cups hulled is rather nice.

It's good to blend up a cup at a time to as good as you can get
it
then return the whole 5 cups to the blender and, bit by bit,
blend and blend till it's done.

Much easier to buy, but I was never able to find RAW tahini here
on the north coast of NSW.

 rolleyes
Is there anyone living in the Coffs/Nambucca area.
I'd love to meet some raw people here.
I am one of about 5, sometimes 6, older women who
have a lunchtime potluck every 2 months (we are in
various stages of raw)
but if there were more people around we could expand
and share our knowledge etc.

10  Locally RAW / United States / Raw Potluck in Buffalo NY on: Thursday 19 October, 2006

Laurie Bosch runs a raw potluck in Buffalo NY once a month
(sometimes twice)
her email is foodalive@yahoo.com

Laurie has been a total raw fooder for many years and is
very knowledgable..
There is nearly always a speaker or a DVD on the evening
and lots of active discussion.
This is a very supportive group and its great fun meeting
up with others in various stages of their raw lives.

Hi Sheryl,

I'm way way late here.
I somehow became "mislayed" haha

Anyway, back in July you said you had PM'd Huh? me
some information.
I didn't get it and I don't actually know what PM means...
Would  you be able to do it again please ?
Although, I'm not AS keen about Hawaii now since I've
returned home to the coast of NSW.
After being in New York State for 6 months I have a
newfound appreciation for my own beautiful coastal town
with it's pristine beaches.....

12  Locally RAW / Canada / Re: New Organic Raw Vegan Cafe on: Thursday 19 October, 2006

Well, here I am back in Australia after 6 months in
USA and some of the time in Canada.
I had the good fortune to work in the WOW cafe
in Guelph while Carin
was away for a week in July.

Such a wonderful Cafe with great meals and Carin
is a wiz in the kitchen.
I wholeheartedly recommend a visit there.

I'm hoping to get back there soon and work more
regularly...

What about weeds and flowers too.
Chick weed, which grows all the time in the garden,
is great in salads.
And nasturtiums are yummy, flowers and leaves....

Hi Jen,

I was also going to suggest Clohesy River Health Farm
www.iig.com.au/anl
too

then there is

Arcadia Health Centre
www.arcadiahealthcentre.com.au
Dr. Alec Burton has many years of Natural Hygiene Knowledge
and is a world authority.
Their program, to me, sounds really in depth and sooo worthwhile.
If I had the time and the money I would go here
and, if not here, to Clohesy River where Dr. Fielder is also a world
class practitioner, very experienced.

I don't get the same feeling about Fountainhead
www.fountainhead.com.au
but that is not coming from any first hand knowledge AT ALL.

Best wishes in your striving for your perfect health.
