16  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Harley Says.... on: Monday 30 June, 2008
harvey diamond wrote a great book. best selling health book of all time. if you want to sell books you gotta write what the masses want. if you want to change the world you gotta do what is right..

reading fit for life was a big reason i carried onto raw. it taught me food combining principles. ie eat fruit on an empty stomach etc. and as a vegan i was always looking for ways to support veganism. i wasnt looking for a way out. i would give copies of fit for life to friends and cross out the recipies in the book. cos people were like 'this dude says meat and dairy is bad but he eats it and has recipies in his book? im confused..'

so these days i dont promote fit for life. i promote health books by douglas graham, charlie abel etc. ie :people walking their talk. people that are contactable. not just cos you gave em 500$ or flew em over in a private jet...

sandra cabot? look at the hype she is selling. ive read her books. i read all the books. just to see how wrong they are. they create a market and fill it with a product. raking in the cash on crew that are just look'n for a quick fix and that are not prepared to take the hardline actions that will get them where they REALLY want and need to go.

after a couple of races ive had cyclists say'n 'what drugs you take h man?' what are you on?' im like what am i on? 'you want me to sell you some horse roids? or you want me to tell you what i eat, how i live and think?'...
i know for fact id make big dollars selling drugs to fellow riders. of the 200 or so racing cyclists that know me and how i eat only a handful have asked me vague questions. the ONLY one that scheduled a time to talk with me, checked off the planet from heart failure 30mins after he emailed me..

so to tell the truth requires a massive shift in our lifestyle, we must live simpler cos less money is gona be flow'n in. our income becomes like our eating. we receive just enough, not too much and not to little...even someone like anthony robbins with his castle houses and polo horse stables is sell'n out.

tony reaches millions. he knows doug graham personally. ive heard tony's nutrition lectures. its buy supplements and 'eat green powders'. if someone asked me what tony's diet is like, i wouldnt know. cos he aint hardline about it. people hear him talk and they are like ok meat is bad and grains are bad, low fat is good and fruit has too much sugar..so whats left?
he is diluted when it comes to nutrition. but everything else he is getting profound results.

he promotes meaningless consumerism on an epic scale. but i reckon tony loves the 'good life' too much to be tell people what he really thinks and knows...sales would decline. i listen to tony most days of the year cos im using his tips to get the rv word to the world...

we know the program that will turn the earth back into the health paradise it used to be. the question i have is how we gonna get crew prefering fresh air to toxic smokers air, from bacon and egg breakfast to orgnanic melon breakfast, from driving to the gym to riding, walking, wheelchair errands. from cutt'n down forrest for wood for stoves in cambodia, burma, indonesia, india, china, siberia, borneo etc to planting lush organic fruit farms.. how we gonna do that? its a big job, thats why you will never see me 'bored' or restless with nothing to do..lol!

some crew out there telling what will sell.
im out there telling what is right.
expect more of yourself than others do of you.
and hang with crew that motivate you to..

im only aware of this thread cos someone told me. i rarely read threads thesedays, cos if someone wants my input they will post on 'harley says'. so if anyone wants me answer something..or is holding me to my word etc, please post it there.

and i will give my answer to the above, there now.

18  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Harley Says.... on: Monday 30 June, 2008
thankyou crew!

we can see it as slam'n or holding a friend to a higher integrity...
just like ive had people defend me but i didnt want defending. cos only i can feel slammed. but i see it as being held to my potential. we can feel the victim of a bully or see it as a pully, pull'n us to better personal acheivments.

ive got a mate that just missed out on the olympics cos of a drink driving charge. a lot of crew point at him and then say to me,' how come they can ride so good? on food you diss?'. i know for fact that if my mate was eating and living my lifestyle with his pure talent he would be going for gold in bejing instead of watching it on the couch...

so we can be great on a sub par lifestyle for sure,BUT NEVER OUR GREATEST! there is a reason that the only food in nature that has the word passion attached to it is a raw plant food...passion fruit and passion leaf...but i just cant imagine passionlobster, passionclam, passionpig, passionegg, passioncheese, passionrice, passion filled steamed veg or a passionhotdog...mc passion? nah, it aint vib'n with me..

i was talking to someone recently about the cancer industry. and how its based on fear. and medical jargon talk.
we live in a society where people see natures ways as extreme but they are happy to drive their family, friend member etc to the clinic and go and get chemo. do they know that chemo is called mustargen? what is mustargen? its mustard gas left over from ww2. that aint some conspiracy theory hippy talk. its wikpedia fact..lol!

i dont get down about the direction society is head'n. i just focus on the direction im head'n. otherwise its too easy to be burning out instead of burning brighter...

oh and bp, i forgot to mention about the bike..invest in something that is safe and fits you. that way we spend more time fighting the elements and terrain rather than fighting the bike...
19  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Harley Says.... on: Monday 30 June, 2008
simon: i aint gonna go into detail on this forum. but i aint talk'n honey and seaweed. just like that adjonus vonderplanitz and tom billings. you read their stuff and nowhere does it say 'im 100% raw'. we just assume cos the topic is rawfood..

bp: when our body says stop, its time to stop. just like when i stretch my hamstring to its comfortable point, i dont go further.

we have to know when and what to push, and when and what to back off from. ie: the only things we truly know are those which we personally experience, the rest is programming.

my biggest problem is the stash of monthongs i have in my room. there is more durian fat than durianrider can ride out. so im busy finding crew to share the spiky football sized burdens..

oh and i just did the math of a meal at macca's consisting of a burger, large fries and their largest triple choc thickshake. just over 2300cals. not kj but cals. when i ate this stuff 10 years ago, nobody blinked an eyelid. but if i tried to eat 2300cals from watermelon or kiwifruit or oranges...people would quesiton my sanity..oh hang on, they already do..lol!

forget jesus, our god is ronald, the clown.
so dont be suprised if a drone tries to shoot you down.
they dont know better
cos they absorb channel 10 to the letter..
just do your homework and let your health do the talk'n.
and on your purpose filled life journey, you just keep a walk'n..

ann wigmore wasnt a raw vegan.
sergei doesnt claim to be one either. either way, both are crew doing great things.
often we just assume something. thats why its good to ask someone straight up. ive been guilty of assuming stuff in the past.

im for greens smoothies. im just more for mono meals of fruit, not eating bitter greens and eating more tender greens. hiding a bitter green with some sweet fruit aint the plan i reckon.

im into mimicking peoples phyisology. if you want to ride like lance, watch him ride the mountains, relaxed posture and face. his focus is evident.

if you want to be 100% raw vegan, athletic and thriving. then follow someone getting the results you desire. im training for a sub 3hr marathon. you wont see me hang'n with sprinters. im hang'n with the distance gang..

...its never wrong to do the right thing..
thanks birdie. yeah its real simple way to eat. frees up time for other life activities..shows the kids that the fastest food is the healthiest and eventually once the taste buds clean house, the tastiest.

i just had a 2 hour massage after a 100km ride. over here the thai massuse walk on your back. they tread all over you. and i was think'n just as she is almost burst'n one of my kidneys 'thats right, i used to have back pain! just sitting down i had back pain. and now i cant even feel it when someone walks on me..' so yeah we quickly forget and take for granted our old problems.

the crew at the massage  joint have seen me come in for a few years. constantly checking to see if i still follow my way of eating. i always tell em 'me 100% raw vegan', i say it in thai, now i know how too..and tonight i highlighted the fact that i dont spend time sweating over a stove or on my feet prepping food and then have to clean up greasy dishes..heck, in thailand the only dish i have is a knife and spoon..and they only get used a few times a week...

people are shocked at the simplicity..and cant believe they still buy into the cooked crock. i call it housewife/househusband liberation! no spending hours serving food that will eventually rip the family apart from diabeties, depression, obesity, schizophrenic teenagers, cancer etc..

yes i eat my greens like chips. when i want something salty, i grab the celery. i grab a lettuce and just start chomping. but i dont eat salt or seaweed, so my body really goes after the plain greens when it wants. just like i didnt like fruit when i was eating lollies, i didnt like greens when i was eating salt etc. our body has a natural desire for things sweet and for things salty. they are fruits and greens. if we satisfy either desire with anything false, then the natural desire will fade away.

give me any kid and i will have em raw vegan in one week. no violence, hitting etc. no yell'n. just show em where there food comes from etc. and when they are hungry only fruit and veg will be provided. they can pretend and protest and think they can 'starve' their way to a packet of chips or a cookie..but tuff love always wins out. or we just sell out and sell our kids over to the latest marketing campaign of mcdonalds, kids inc, jr simplot etc.

heck we have kids and they are life long consumers of cancer food. if i was a parent id be ring'n up them corps and asking for a cut of the profits they make from YOUR CHILDREN. oh hang on, kids dont have money? so where are they getting the junk from? pester power....works everytime. especially if the parent is underslept, overworked, dehydrated, undercarbed and confused which way to turn.

so we can see if we dont put our life jacket on first when our lifestyle boat eventually sinks, then we got zero chance of helping others make it to the safety of the raw shore.

look after yourself, look after your family, ask them to help look after themselves and you...lets create raw interdependence today.. or go and grab some subway, ben and jerrys and celebrate independence day...

thailand/malaysia is the durian deal. there is a durian party in penang tommorrow.darrick is there.

take a walk in someone elses shoes? durianrider says 'heck with that, slap their shoes on and go for a hard fast run in the direction they are heading. come back and show em whats in store, if they keep doing what they are doing..be that cooked or raw.'

our past does not equal our present. sure things add up and mould us into what we are. but how many people we know that are holding onto their past and their 'story' of why they cant get what they want...

i was having a discussion with someone the other day. they said 'what you recomend isnt acheivable for most people' i aggreed...ITS ONLY FOR THOSE THAT WANT IT...

crew wanna be fit, pretty, positive minded, relaxed, healthy, time abundant, living the lifestyle they want etc..they only have to do one thing..DO IT!

people say 'oh durianrider you are a broken record..lets call you harpley,,harp'n on about the same things day in day out..' im like 'yeah your right. but it doesnt matter how many times i repeat myself. what matters is the ACTION you take on the information that vibes with you..nothing else matters..'

pots, pans and wok out the door
we is eat'n slop and msg no more!
put the stove and microwave up for auction
its time for RAWKTION!!!!!!!!!!
ie action plus raw
gives us the life we truly adore
anything less is like a broken jaw
painful and in regret
cos we be say'n 'oh im just not ready yet..'
health cant wait, we cant put it on hold
its built every minute or ripped apart like cheese with mould.
so take action from the words of durianrider
cos now you cant say 'oh i havent been told..'

ok time for me to go out for saturdays ride. 90km with the local thai guys. hard and fast. we are mates off the bike. but on the bike its raw war. cooked vs raw. fact vs fiction. they pedal faster cos they dont want to be beaten by a guy on a diet that they know is heartfelt and right. a diet that makes sense. so when you slap on the organic athlete clothing, your guaranteed to get the best out of your training partners. they wont give an inch and im still gonna rip their legs off. you gotta walk ya talk. you gotta pedal ya raw medal. ok, im off. off to RAW! lol!

this is my idea of a torch for the raw olympics one day..

this is my room. some sheets on a tiled floor. simple and effective.
i used to say i dreamed of having fresh durian. i got given this stash by some local friends. its worth about 900$aus  if i was buy'n em fresh in cairns. so i say, dream'n of durian? let your dreams become reality and open up a local freshy..

youve already done some of the steepest climbs in oz in adelaide. they dont get much steeper than that. carrying a trailer and they still wont be as steep as sunnyside st....and no climb is longer than mt lofty in nsw.
30  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Harley Says.... on: Friday 27 June, 2008
a photo of a local rice paddy.

this is a photo of a local organic fruit orchard.in this photo is durian, gramachuma, banana, dragonfruit, mangosteen, duku, mango..

500m seperates the 2. what way of eating you want to support?
ive got photos of animal industry. but ive been told not to post stuff that makes people feel ill..so i wont..lol!

so how do we become a raw vegan then?
it all comes down to one simple ratio...pain:pleasure.

once something in our life becomes more pain than pleasure, its over.

and if something is more pleasure than pain, then its continued in our life.

vegans find it easy to give up meat etc cos they associate massive pain to it.

raw fooders find it easy to give up cooked food cos they associate massive pain to it.

write down how you feel on cooked food. ie bloated, lazy, stuffed, switched off, ripped off, contributing to deforrestation etc.

write down how you feel on raw plant food.ie electric, smooth skin, light, energetic, radiant, vibrant, smashing each day like its your first and last!..

have this list with you when the cooked demons say hello. or read it over and over again so the list is roughly in your mind.

its vital to associate how some foods will make us feel after. in society its rare that someone associates food with how they feel after. go against the grain in all aspects....stand out from the herd eating or herd food eating drones. question what is encouraged..

as a vegan, grains are an animal rights crime. think of all the fields you see on the road. used to be forrests. all the animals that were there, birds, insects, mammals etc all died or moved to other areas where there is now a food shortage dure to animal concentration.

fruit orchards provide habitat and much needed greenery for the earth. ive camped all over the world and fruit orchards are the most lively, along with rainforrests. grains are erosion, acid, puffy, bloated, clogging glup. GLUEten..think about it. gluing up peoples brains. sure its better than animal murder but i reckon grains have served a purpose for you and now its time to move on..just based on what you wrote.

we must eat foods we love and that love us back. slam down as much raw plant food as you can and then aim for the 811 styles that raw athletes the world over are thriving on. mega mono meals of fruit when your hungry till satisfied. massive green smoothies that drown the false body that craves crap food..

dont beat yourself up. beat up your pots and pans! smash em or make em into flower pots. turn off the stove, its now an exspensive chopping board, but not as exspensive as the cooked food addicts life is.

cooked food is crack cocaine. but worse, it makes people blind to their true potential, rapes the earth and the animals and has people working in jobs they hate to buy food their body hates..

sure we can be a cooked champion, but it pales in comparrison to a raw champion.

our main objective on this earth is to design a diet plan that works for us and those around us. we need more alive and happy people on this planet. TRULY alive and happy. raw food is the main tool in our treasure chest of tools to build our life how we want it.

so do we buy into corporate food insanity that is destroying the world or do we buy back into mother nature and save the world?

oh the pain, youve eaten grain again..
on our life its such a drain.
never felt nice
eating rice
sure felt beat
on a meal of wheat
then we cut down our rainforrests to grow cane
to make our meat n wheat
taste sweet.

when we eat cooked
our true potential is overlooked
only on raw
can we be our all.

on the beach eating melon
ive sure found heavon
durian shells i be tapp'n
im the raw gangster who is always rapp'n

animal love'n
aint shove'n em in the oven
and cutt'n down trees
the animals are never pleased..

cooked pasta is a plain disaster
only on raw pasta do we get spiritually faster

on this path your faith will be tested
best to have the pots n pans forever rested
raw gives us more
so now you know what goes past your jaw
grab some fruit, grab some veg
its time to live on the edge!
grab some mates
its time to lift some heavy weights!

as life was not meant to make us feel beat!
LIFE IS MEANT TO BE SWEET!
