Hi Piers Thanks for the tips. I definitely will be seeking all the advice /help etc that I can. Will try the tahini post haste. The evenings seem to be the real struggle. During the day fruit and juice satisfies just fine as the day progresses and it gets darker and colder the craving for procesed carbs etc seem to increase. It seems to snowball..have one have another. Whilst I think that it is largely a mindset there does seem to be some kind of physical craving.
Hi Sheryl Thanks for the info. I will definitely check it out.I have been trying to figure out how to "go raw" for awhile.It is funny how the universe aligns. I live about 2 mins from Talle creek and work in Tweed. I really need help in getting started, learning to "cook" raw (lol) etc. I can't beleive my luck !!!
I have come to believing that a raw diet would be optimum for my health. This journey has taken about 3 months. prior to this I ate a typical diet..with all the five food groups ..fat;sugar;salt;artificial colourings & flavourings. To be truthful the only reason I considered giving it up is because I have become sensitive to gluten & dairy..lol (welts; swelling;numb lips;itchy eyes;feeling like I have a hangover). I started vegetarian but I know I was eating the "junk" vegetarian diet but even on this I instantly felt better. It is a rollercoaster. I am now into juicing and just eat fruit until midday each (big change for me). The evening seems to be the most difficult time. Funnily enough one of the reasons I am not confident going "raw" is that I cannot cook!!!by this I mean I am not adept at making my own food. Definitely a child of my generation!!!! I guess this is my very long winded (lol with all the extra fruit) of saying that I am keen but feeling overwhelmed with how to start. I guess many would say start slow but what first??? My sensitivites were brought on by an "overactive immune system" . I believe my immune system has been compromised by years and years of"yoyo" dieting.
