1  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: slighty scary pineapple experience....eeeekk!! on: Friday 17 March, 2006
Just to give you another reason not to feel like the only one, it happened to me too. The worst part is that it put me off pineapples for a wile and that is a tradgedy!
I like it when I find that i'm not the only one and in fact many other people share my experience.

Rawneet, get your tongue well soon.
Love Prem
2  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Recipes - Meals & Snacks / melt in the mouth raw fudge on: Tuesday 07 February, 2006
This is a melt in the mouth raw fudge recipe.

Ingredients:

1 cup coconut oil
1 cup rasins
a few teaspoons of cinnamon
7 tablespoons of organic cacao powder or raw cacao if you can get it or carob powder
1 cup brazil nut (optional)
1 cup bee pollen (optinal)
a few drops of mint essential oil or leaves (optional) the one I made had no mint because I had none but I think it would taste divine.

Process everything in the food processor until smooth and creamy, add water or coconut oil if needed. pour or spread mixture onto a tray and place in the freezer for 3 hours, chop into squares and just have a square when you want one and keep the tray in the freezer.

Its pretty good! tell me what you think

5  Locally RAW / Australia & New Zealand / Any young raw foodist's or health conscious people? on: Tuesday 31 January, 2006
Hi everyone!

I just wanted to call out to any young raw foodist out there, you dont have to be %100 just someone interested in a conscious way of living.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a Australian raw food festival, where young people could get together and create a new revolution! Instead of junk food drugs and TV we could have raw food peace and consciousness.

Just a thought.
anyway just wanted to say hi to everybody and lets meet!

(all beautiful ages welcome just wanted to encourage the younger ones)

Lots of Love

Prem

Hi There,

have you checked out Matthew Grace's book "A Way Out" - Matthew overcame MS plus spinal cord degeneration through raw food. He was told he would never walk again and made a full recovery. He is a very cool guy and it is possible to book phone sessions with him should you feel to. His website is http://matthewgrace.com/

Good luck & blessings

Anand

Hi there,

Unfortunatly I do not have much time now as its quite late, in fact I wasn't going to post any messages tonight. but I feel this is to important not to give you my experience, I can email you more details and links (many amazing links) later.

-weight acumulates in the body because of a high intake of acid forming foods (the body needs to store this acid somewhere so it stores it in fat cells)
-High sugar intake (wether fruit or processed) causes acid to form in the body
-fruits (obviously sugary fruits, not avocado, tomato and lemon) have a high sugar content, that has been tested to cause an acidic reaction in the body, which could slow down or even reverse the cleansing process.

I never heard that greens slow down weight loss, all I know is they are alkalizing and only when you become alkaline will it be safe for your body to release its toxins(fat).

its not about the insulin, thats just a biproduct of to much sugar (acid).

so my advice is: stay green!, while you are cleansing, once it is over you can indulge but never come to a point where you are eating more sugary foods (fruit) that non (aparrently there is all the sugar we need in greens).

anyway have fun and sorry if it sounded like a lecture, but its very important!

and remember, drink lots of the best water you can find! phuuue.  :scared:

lots of love
Prem, from raw Ecstasy Health treats.

10  Fascinating RAW Facts! / Newsflash! / Tell Us "why Raw" To Get Naked! (chocolate) on: Saturday 25 June, 2005
Raw food Not a trend, but a coming home.

Raw is a way of eating,
raw is a way of being,
but above all
raw is just as it is.
as nature intended

The Raw Facts
Raw Foods contain higher vitamin content and beneficial live enzymes:

COOKING FOOD:

Heat changes the makeup of all things.
When food is heated about 48 C (108F), it is chemically altered and loses most of its ability to provide nutrition and energy*.  Live enzymes are destroyed.

*Eating raw food provides 100 percent of the nutrition available to us; the same food in cooked form can have up to 85 percent less nutritional value (Dr. Ann Wigmore of the Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute).

SOAKING & SPROUTING:

Enzymes are necessary to help digest food. When grains, seeds and nuts are soaked and/or sprouted, toxic enzyme inhibitors are eliminated. The natural nutrients are activated and food is more easily digestible providing the maximum amount of food energy available.
