Over the years I've spent so much of my time, energy and money going on diets. It became a normal part of my life, until one day I gave up and decided that it was okay to be fat. I always minimized the impact it had on my life, and was convinced that I carried the extra weight well, that no one could see.
Can you see?

Then one day, frustrated with the cravings that accompany 'diets' I decided to go raw. I'm not quite sure where that statement came from. One day I was on a diet, the next I declared to my husband Piers "Let’s go raw" and we did. Simple as that.
My focus is on being vibrantly healthy by September 2004. I'm working out and loving it. And each day I eat to nourish my body and move to make it stronger is a WIN. I've created such a compelling future for myself, that I'm being drawn there. It's a must for me. Where in the past I dieted because I hated being fat. Now I eat well and exercise because I know I'm worth it. I want to be slim and energetic and be able to run 10 km and keep up with our kids when we have them.
On on my way to vibrant health and a slim and healthy body...

Be loving and kind to yourself. Get excited about where your new lifestyle is going to take you. Ask yourself questions every day like "How can I nurture and love my body right now", "What's great about this", "What food is my body really asking for right now?". Learning to ignore the false cravings of food addiction to substances like processed sugar, fat and caffeine are important. Learning to enjoy natural healthy foods like luscious peaches, crisp baby English spinach and fresh pumpkin seeds is even more important.
Imagine that you hold a most precious little baby in your arms. You have a selection of foods in front of you. Some are natural, unprocessed and living. Others are huge chocolate bars, cups of coffee, bags of cheese tortilla chips, and hunks of processed cheese. Imagine feeding this precious baby chocolate and coffee. It's a terrible thought isn't it? Now imagine that that precious being is you? You know what's truly healthy for your body. Next time you feel hungry imagine this little baby and do what you know is right!
In health,
Sheryl
