hey cee -  what caused you to stop being a fruitarian?

I haven't.... I'm just sick of people trashing it when they are eating the same thing as  Fruitarian would eat, I've never understood that, since posting this elsewhere too I've ralise that most people haven't got a clue what a fruitarian is....

i was with renee a few weeks ago. he has a lot of spirit. he likes his fruit as well as his cheese and bbq chickens.

he never was 100% rv. still a top bloke and got the word out to many people. he is suffering some ill health at the moment. but got a copy of 811 and is trying to decrease his 'danger' food intake.

I read some where a while ago that he died of cancer!!!

hey man, that is some serious explosive power in those pecs,

where do You get Your proteins from ? hehe

I see it as plyometrics, as the fall of the chairs requires the breaking action of pecs and other supportive muscless,
so it is extremely effective for functional strenght, it is equivalent to legs plymetrics - jump down from bench and straight up

You can do anything if you just work on building the body....

I cant confirm if it is true or rumour as I am not in USA, but I heard from Sergei Boutenko that Steven Arlin "Thor" is no longer raw ......or fit or healthy for that matter.   X

I really wonder if he ever was in the first place...ha,ha!

But that's his business....he's the one that has to live with all that mess!

I saw "Thor" the guy who wrote raw power, shoulder pressing one five gallon water bottles filled with water in each hand in a totally corny promotional video promoting the benefits of raw foods and I thought wow!...that's impressive...but later on I thought, hang on a minute that's only five gallons each, I could shoulder press way more than that with weights, so I figured I'd put my money where my mouth was and get it done!

It's not particularly impressive but it was fun and did any of you notice that the handle broke on one of the bottles as I lifted it up?!

Here's the vid!

A "Fruitarian" is nothing but a strict raw vegan!!!!

I think when people say "Fruitarian" or "fruit only" they have a misguided idea of what it's actually is, you'll actually find that there's more different types of "fruits" than you realise and you'll also realise that a Fruitarian and strict raw vegan are actually eating the same things, but this idea of what "fruitarianism is , is a little off, maybe that's why so many people have issues, just eating sweet fruits or restricting certain things is not "Fruitarianism".

Here's foods that a Fruitarian/strict raw vegan would eat:

Sweet Fruits: Oranges, bananas, apples, melons, grapes, papayas, berries, figs, dates, mangoes, etc.

Non Sweet Fruits: cucumbers, avocados, bell peppers, tomatoes, etc.

Vegetables: lettuces and other greens, celery, etc.

Nuts and Seeds: Sunflower and squash seeds, almonds, walnuts, soft coconut meat, etc.

Also: coconut water, juices, water, and other raw and living foods.

You're constantly pushing your boundaries which is awesome! It's been beautiful to see you progressing.

What kind of gym set up do you have... if any? Piers and I are going to set up a gym in our new house, and sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between a must, and a toy! I'd love your opinion.

Cheers,
Sheryl

Hi there,

I don't have a set up at home as I make it a point to use my natural surroundings such as hills, trails, trees and the floor, etc.....one thing to bare in mind is that the body doesn't know the difference between metal or flesh all it knows is that exercise is exercise so as far as I'm concerned anything goes and it it's fun too all the better, also bare in mind that you can make a lot of these fancy exercise equipment yourself, infact I have an old persons walking frame that I sometimes use as a dipping station, I got it for $4 from a thrift store, not bad eh?

If you go here there's some examples of homemade equipment too, (you can delete it after you check it out if you like)

I say go for what ever makes you happy, change often and keep things fun and fresh!!!!

I'm trying to get hold of a thick long rope so I can climb it, that's a great workout!!!

Anyway I'm rambling, I hope you get that home gym set up nice, maybe you can post some pics of it when your done!!

Catchya!

45  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Raw Food World Summit on: Tuesday 21 August, 2007
I think this whole concept of raw is really about simplicity. (for me anyway)

That is why the Summit talks by David Wolfe and Gabriel Cousens seemed way off in another atmosphere compared to my own journey. I didn't really take anything I could use from their comments.

F1, I think you summed it up perfect, really drilling down the simplicity of listening to your body, steering away from the push to gourmet and putting in the hard work.  All the while allowing everyone to choose their own path.  Your journey is very close to my journey and also where I want my journey to go so I took so much from your talk, it really inspired me to continue achieving.

Spot on Jim...SIMPLICITY...in my opinion nature has already given us the answers, do you think that the animals in the wild concern themselves with getting enough protien, carbs, etc, they just eat what's available at any given time, it's funny because many of us don't care about nutrition when we are eating dead cooked foods but as soon as we go raw we start stressing about things/nutrients that we didn't care about before, I'm all baout keeping it simple, staying active and actually enjoying the lifestyle!

Once you get past your own personal detox, it's a blast!!!!
