So cutes, I don't think they should be pets tho, but that picture is too cute.
And KittyK you're right about movies/commercials/media influencing the next popular breed of dog/cat/fish whatever. Anytime something new comes out in the media, ppl rush to buy one, St Bernard's, Persians, Dalmations, SharPeis etc etc etc. Ppl are too impulsive.
But they also don't want us to rely on animals or have anything to do with them, they will still be taking animal cells and using them so meat eaters will still be using animals.
It's silly. I don't mind some of their other campaigns, but I think you're right, Rawgasm, it will draw a lot fo attention.
Has anyone used coconut oil for candida? i know it goes against the low fat theory, but ive heard amazing results by having 3tblsp raw coconut oil a day so am going to incorporate that into my diet too... xox
My Dr/Naturopath prescribed caprylic acid for me, it's found in coconuts and breast milk and has anti-fungal properties : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caprylic_acid And I have read of ppl taking coconut oil instead.
The pharmacy down the road ordered it in and actually makes up the capsules, so I ordered some vege capsules from Golden Glow and they made it up in them for me. It wasn't cheap tho, so I'd stick w/ the oil!
I've just been told I have a high level of candida in my body as well. My Naturopath gave me a "candida rid" tonic and told me to eliminate all fruit from my diet for at least a month - I don't know what to do because I eat so much fruit, but she suggested vegetables and vegetable juices only. Right now I can't do it because my kitchen has about two weeks worth of fruit in it, so I'd love some advice too...
Love,
Birdie.
I was told I could have bananas, green apples & green pears plus green veggies etc. but to maybe limit potato/carrot/tomatoes. I don't know if I still have an imbalance, this was last year. Over summer I ate 2-3 mangoes everyday, plus lots of water/rockmelon. I don't feel like I still have it. I make sure I have a large green smoothie daily and I have a salad for lunch everyday too.
I've been feeling lazy and tired since the weekend and haven't been doing as much. Saturday I was running around at work for 5 hours but then I slept all afternoon. Sunday I managed to go to the gym for 45 mins, used the trdmll. Yesterday I went to the gym, did 40 mins btwn the trdmll and the bike. This morning it was too dark to cycle (need to get a light fitted) so I got up stretched, core exercises, did some push ups, yoga, leg lifts, then I danced for awhile. It was fun to do that first thing in the morning.
Good to read, I like Scarboroough Fair tea and didn't realise they made chocolate too, when I buy chocolate I used to buy Green & Blacks and have bought the ones @ Oxfam too.
I heard a bit yesterday it was about females who enter figure competitions. I think this afternoon is about how to cope with a partner who has an eating disorder and how you can help.
They've done veganism before and sent one of the vego reporters to an abattoir, but that was last year sometime, never heard them cover raw food.
I picked up the Good Weekend magazine today (which is included in Sydney's SMH and Melbourne's Age newspaper) and read Dr Karl's myth-conceptions column in which he has a go at the raw food movement.
I found it interesting that the column sat next to a full page 'red meat, we were meant to eat it' ad!
Oh that's annoying, how did I miss that!? Oh wait, is that the Saturday mag not the Sunday one? Damn, I never get the Sat'dee paper.
I read on a vegan forum today that someone called up while he was on radio, they were vego and he said vegan babies are too small and that vegetarians always have low iron, or something like that.
Shame, other times I like what he has to say, but he must have just read facts and figures supporting non-raw/vegan and based his opinion on that.
I like watching the Biggest Loser but the fact that each week they change their diet and only allow them to eat whatever is chosen in "The Warehouse" is not promoting healthy eating or thinking.
They should be learning how to keep eating more healthy foods not get stuck eating one ingredient per week or canned food for a week, how on earth is that healthy?
And none of the teams lost much after their week on raw or bbq'd foods. The reds were whinging about not feeling energetic too. They need to learn to not assoc. red meat with energy.
My bf laughed at me and how passionate I was about the 'Raw Cause' because I was talking to the tv when they were whinging about Raw and I was saying all it's benefits and how they should be stoked that they are on raw this week and the weight loss they could acheive.
I am still having a cup or 2 of organic black tea daily w/ rice milk.
I have them mid morning and then drink water for the rest of the day. I think I have them more when I am at work, like a habit. I was at home yesterday, made a cup and then realised I didn't actually want it.
I used to drink green tea +++ but have sort of gone off it. I also like rooibos, peppermint and cammomile @ night.
