16  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Off Topic Chat / Re: Im having my mercury fillings removed FINALLY on: Monday 20 October, 2008
I got mine out about 10 years ago and noticed a change immediately. My moods lifted quite a lot - I was pleasantly surprised.

I also took homoeopathics to detox my body. Because it was a while ago I can't remember what they were, but if you're interested in that route, any good homoeopath with be able to help you out. I do wish I had've known about green juices though, they would have been perfect. Also, seaweed is supposed to pull out heavy metals from the body so maybe eats lots of them.

Congratulations! It's not cheap but it's worth it.

oh no, it's World Vegan Day on the same day, and I'm meeting people there!

I'd love to know when you run something like that in Vic again.
18  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: beginning raw food & upset body on: Saturday 18 October, 2008
it took a couple of weeks for my digestion to adjust, and I got skin rashes. I can't say if I'm normal, but it did pass!
19  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Rawkathon by Kevin Gianni on: Friday 03 October, 2008
I just listened to an interview Kevin did with Matt Amstam (I know that's not the right spelling but I can't be bothered checking!) and it was really good, I enjoyed it. I was actually surprised because from the emails he sends out I got the impression he was a bit of a hyped-up american salesman type, and it wasn't like that at all. I'm really looking forward to the Rawkathon!
20  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: QUestion on copyright on: Monday 22 September, 2008
if it's 10% or less like the original, you can use it. So basically if you change the recipes so much that they are unrecognisable, go for it. But then they won't be the same recipe!

You always need permission to copy someone else's work, especially if it's something you intend to make money from.

the original book recommends to start of with three rounds of each exercise and go up two rounds per week until you get to 21. I think it really works the lymph system and detoxes quite powerfully.

The first time I did it, it was in the evening and I couldn't sleep, I was buzzing!

I lost count of how many inaccurate statements were in that article....
24  FAQ - Check Here for the most common Answers! / Raw Food FAQ / Re: raw garlic on: Thursday 11 September, 2008
I've discovered that going into the garden and cutting off a few leaves from the growing bulb still gives a nice mild garlic taste, without any of the intestinal upsets. It's great, I've been making a yogurt-style sauce from sunflower seeds, garlic leaves, lemon juice and mint. Brilliant!
25  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: Raw Vegan Radio on: Friday 05 September, 2008
I download the free shows via iTunes and put them on the ipod for the car, I also burn them onto CD for my mum. iTunes can do all that kind of stuff and it's a free program.

I did pay for the premium at the start of the year but I didn't get anything more than the free shows so I discontinued and am happy with the free ones.

hope this helps!  laugh

28  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Off Topic Chat / Re: Just been thinking about apes and monkeys eating greens... on: Monday 18 August, 2008
I think you'd have to look at the monkeys which are carriers of AIDS vs the ones who actually get sick from it, and same for any other virus. It's like we all have cancer cells in our bodies but it depends on our immune response as to whether it goes any further. It may be that very few apes and monkeys (on their proper diet) actually get sick even though they've been exposed. I guess you'd have to look deeper into the research.
29  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Off Topic Chat / Re: will it blend? on: Saturday 16 August, 2008
i love the guy, he's so cool-nerdy

my favourite is the glow sticks, although seeing cubic zirconias blended into dust made me want to go out and buy a Blendtec straight away!
30  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Off Topic Chat / will it blend? on: Thursday 14 August, 2008
I saw this on the TV a few weeks ago and only just came across the website www.willitblend.com

it seems we might be a bit limited in just thinking about green smoothies  laugh
