Hi Bronny, I think I am at a similar place right now as you.  Although you might be a couple of days ahead.  I have been 100% raw for 10 days now and am feeling really low.  I am exercising but instead of feeling really great afterwards I just feel really tired.  And I have been grumpy and unmotivated, which is not good when you have a family to look after.  I was also wondering if I am maybe not eating enough, its all a bit confusing. My weight has dropped a bit but not sure how much. I just want to feel good.

Hi Travis,
I was just reading your journal from last Sept and you were saying you had heaps of energy being raw.  How long did it take once you started eating raw to feel like that?

I didn't give in to the greasy sandwich, but did make a good smoothie and drank almost all of it, I usually give a glass or two to my husband, so felt good about myself.
I am really tired today, I think that's why I am finding it so difficult.  And its time to restock the fruit bowl, my husband keeps asking if I've been offered shares in the fruit and veg shop!! I spend all our money there.  But I figure it's better to buy my kids a $3 mangoe than junk food.

I have been sun drying some tomatoes and last night I forgot to bring them inside and the whole tray got blown off the table (it was very very windy here) into the dirt !#$%!  So the chooks had sundried tomatoes for breakfast.
Has anyone out there been successful making tasty sundried tomaotes, mine seem to have a bit of an aftertaste that isn't great. And I want to store them in something less fatty than olive oil... any suggestions?

Freedom, I will do my best to get to the picnic on sunday, looking forward to it.

Thanks Joybell I need some encouragement like that today.  Feeling like throwing it all in and making a toasted cheese sandwich, yuck until I just wrote that I thought I wanted one.
My knees creak too and I asked a physio about it a few weeks ago and his answer was: age!! I'm only 33!!!!

Can you give me an example of what you eat each day being 80% raw.  I think my problem is I am not eating enough??? Not sure

Freedom, what day this weekend is the picnic on I would love to come and meet some like minded people (I live surounded by meat eaters).  To answer your question I live out in High Wycombe, near Kalamunda, where are you?

Off to make a green smoothie...

Hi Jennie,
That is my vegie patch, sadly it doesn't look like that now... that was in September, it is too hot to grow much in Perth now without draining the weir.  But I have got some seeds in to feed my growing appetite for leafy greens.
One question I do have (and I guess the answer varies enourmously from person to person) is how long does it usually take to start feeling great.  I have read a lot about how energized people feel after switching to a raw diet, is it weeks, months?  Does it depend on the severity of the detox symptoms?

Hello Raw People,
I am really new to all this and have been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now and have finally found some time to join.  I am on Day 7 or being 100% raw.  I have been having green smoothies for about 2 weeks and am loving them.  This forum has been such a great source of information and motivation, so thanks everyone out there for being the people that you are.  Totally inspiring.
