46  Go RAW! The Testimonial Section! / RAW Journals - Your RAW Experiences / Re: I think I am needing some support........ on: Friday 28 March, 2008
I will really have to check that book out.

I love how you all talk here, you all speak such truth and I honour you for that!

Durianrider you could write a book!  One of those inspirational types. I totally hear what you are saying about being an example. I feel that I am doing that for my daughters. I love them all so much and want them to have a long, happy, healthy life with thier eyes wide open and their minds clear and sharp.

I weighed myself today...I have lost 3 kilos in 3 weeks. I'm happy about that. I feel great. Energy keeps lifting and lifting. My emotions are still a bit haywire but I am expecting for things to come out emotionally. It's good.

I had a cup of spicy, chai like tea without black tea or milk and it gave me weird pains in my upper abdomen. My higher intestines I think. Then for dinner had dehydrated juice pulp patties, ate too many and got the pain again in the same place. Learning about my body here! Guess that tea and too much food makes me really 'feel' it now!

Better go, going to see new baby and Mumma  yahh
Talk to you all soon!
Love,
Beau

Thanks BB...yeah Maca is great stuff. Tastes malty...
Being with birth is one of the great things that I love about my life....truly a blessing and a miracle.

Durianrider, thankyou for your post, and thankyou for your honesty. I know I just have to do what is right for my family...and I am slowly making the changes. I guess it takes courage for me to do things that my family (outside of my own family circle) will have issues with. But like you said its never wrong to do the right thing. I just wish the world would hurry up and catch on to incredible things like this.

One day. I have sometimes wished that I could just be ignorant and ignore all the truths that I know, and live in the blissfully ignorant state that so many are in (not so blissful but eh?), but I can't.

Hey are you fruitarian or do you do the 80 10 10 thing? Just out of curiosity?

'ZINGING' (from eating 'zinging' food! and walking this 'zinging' earth!)

Feeling free to be me

Being with my daughters

The creek down the road

(is this gonna be a day thing, cause I have so much to add, but its a daily thing? Wink)

Went to a birth yesterday..was so amazingly beautiful and am always astounded at the strength of women!

I always give 110% of myself when supporting at a birth so when I got home was absolutely stuffed LOL

The mumma requested a soup, so I made a vegie/quinoa/barley soup and by the end of the night I was feeling dizzy (energy) so I had some...cooked food tastes mushy to me now...and not 'zinging'. LOL I love that..I can so tell the difference of the life force now. My morning trip to the toilet was full-on...(sorry if TMI) my bowel movement was quite hard and a bit painful to pass. Since being raw it has been easy and great! Interesting!

I'm going to take my girls for a walk down to the creek for a swim...I need to get some energy from the cold water. Need to ZING! I had a banana/brazil/cocao/maca/vanilla seed smoothie for breakfast so I feel pretty good. Simple still rules though! Think I will just do those type os smoothies when I want to nurture myself a bit. The maca rocks!

Ok...going now or I'll get stuck here...
love to all...have a great day!

51  PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Fitness & Health / a common illness with an elusive cure..... on: Monday 24 March, 2008
the dreaded sulphur burps, diarhhea and vomiting!!!  Sad

I have been getting this once yearly since I was about 15 when I contracted giardia. I am wondering if anyone here has experience with it and or what you might think are the causes, and effective treatment, cure.

I cannot stand this sickness, and I was getting it quite regularly over the past 4 months.  Diarhhea like water that would last for 6 hours on and off and then floor me for about three days.

Our water supply is rainwater which we filter slightly. Its fine. I am the only one who gets this. For the last couple of nights I have had the sulphur burps and been having a lot of wind. I am trying to hard to take care of my health and to avoid this. But it just is still hanging around!

I made a nut version of sticky date pudding, a small bowl full, ate it all ( I overdid it I know!) and then had burps really bad and felt ill.

any thoughts?
thankyou
Beau

Eve please don't apologise for the length of your post! That was wonderful information and I thankyou for sharing with me Smiley

My eldest daughter is named Eve also Smiley

I am coming to understand that it really is about being a really positive and strong role model. And I can see that you do that for your son...I guess every parent on here is to their children also! I keep picking cards (Angel Cards) that tell me not to waver on my path and to not compromise my beliefs!

Jungle, yep I hear ya on the food combining....it is pretty hard, cause damn raw food tastes good! I just borrowed Juliano's new book 'RAW' and he has some awesome recipes in their! I have only fruit by itself for breakfast....and water with lemon, and then maybe a herbal tea. Then I'll have lunch.....which consists of some raw vegies and nuts togather somehow. And dinner is a salad.

Slowly slowy...I am learning to listen to my intuition and see what feels good to my body. Shame we don't learn these things from birth hey?!

Had some grapes for breakfast, then some cherry guava's, and just made the best green smoothie I have tried so far!

Baby Spinach
Orange
Dates

YUM!

I've been watching youtube with David Wolfe, Juliano, Gabriel Cusens etc...these people are all so amazing and vibrant. I've looked at the Raw Spirit Fest too in Arizona and why oh why don't we have one of them here?!!! It should definitely be done!!!

I am feeling very good. Have had the comment twice that my skin looks amazing and its only been about 2 and a half, 3 weeks!  ohyeah

Wish I had known of this life before! I am having an inner turmoil with wanting to bring my family into rawness, but with 4 daughters and a man who still eats meat (outside of our home), I am not sure how to go about it...well thats not true, I do know. I made tha smoothie and gave my girls a try and they loved it and shared it with me. Its the things like bread that I am worried about, and the crap food that my family feeds them when they are around...I hate that. I am just going to have to really put my foot down with them all. I just dont want the girls to say that they hated the food they were 'made' to eat as they were growing up. They are all watching my journey with interest....but they still love their cheese and bread etc...argh...

I am very interested in hearing other parents stories with the transition from cooked to raw with young children. I have a 12 , 8, 5, and 2 year old.

I have just found the most awesome chocolate bar! Its 'Living Earth', and there is dark, almond and purple corn, goji berry and camu camu varieties. Costs around $5.95. Worth every red penny! Orgasmic melt in your mouth deliciousness!

Am off to eat something, blood sugar is dropping.....love to you all! Back to journal more later........

Yep, that is basically how it is working....I am learning to listen to my body instead of eating for comfort.

Thankyou for the support Iv, makes this journey easier thats for sure! I am very grateful for this place and all of you!

Yesterday I had rockmelon, cherry guava's, and watermelon in the morning. (Not all at once, I'll have one type of fruit and then wait half an hour till I have the next lot)
Then pesto filled mushrooms
a 'green' that turned purple smoothie lol, I put beetroot in it.
Some banana on Essene bread with macadamia paste, then realised that the bread was too old. Was way too heavy anyway... Undecided
A big salad with some falafel in it.
some medjool dates and then after some plums...

This all still feels too heavy. I think as I go along I just want to get lighter and lighter. Cause light feels good!

I think I must be the only person in the world that doesnt like coconut water! Can't stand it. It tastes off to me. It was fresh...from woolies unfortunately Sad Will try to blend it up with something, but I CANNOT drink it straight. Sad cause I know its good for me!

Jenni..I don't know if you know this, but I'll just share it anyway, in case  laugh

Mint needs A LOT of water...so if you have it in a pot ( which is a good idea because it loves to take over everything!) put it under your outside tap and water it a little everyday. They love to be under taps! Good luck...!

Yep I hear ya Rudolph....

It is what I am aiming for...to be 80 10 10, as I can so clearly see that that is where we are meant to be. But I do know that my body needs time (and so does my head) to adjust. I am just saying that that is where I would like to be...I know I need to take it slowly.

Thanks for your wisdom and experience mate...I really appreciate it! Smiley
