Hey Phill, nice to 'meet' you!

I'm new to this also....it really is about educating yourself and learning as you go hey? I don't know any other raw vegans IRL either, so I guess thats whay we are here? Smiley

Thanks for sharing your story...its nice to read everyones journals and see where everyone's at and learn from each others experiences.

Having your own garden is an awesome start and I think its great that youre into dandelion! I'd be searching for an organis fruit outlet....theres got to be one somewhere! Maybe you could ask those fellas at the markets if they know of any organic fruit places? Good luck on that!

so..like I said, nice to meet you, and will chat again soon! :D

Thanks Jennie....yeah I thought I should show my face so you'all can see me Smiley

I thought it was dehydration too, its gone now though. And yes I believe in salt too, too much is bad, but so is too little.

I did actually see that on one of your posts that you had some salt after a big workout and feeling dehydrated. I did that and it seemed to work!

Feeling good today....so far had just some water with kaffir lime squeezed into it. (I have three kaffir lime trees outside my front door!)

Yesterday I had.....

two bananas
two peaches
a soup of cut up brocolli, zucchini, mushrooms, garlic, ginger, and seaweed, with soy sauce and warm water poured over the top.
a banana, date, linseed, brazil nut, agave, smoothie
two medjool dates with macadamia paste inside them
a salad of greens, capsicum, cucumber, tomato, sunflower sprouts, brocolli, kaffir lime, olve oil....

am I overeating? I THINK SO!!! I am happy that this is the best I have ever eaten, but I am still self medicating and I know that I reallt need to look at this. It is also conditioning from this world that we live in. The way we eat is quite over the top I have realised!
Would like to have a clean day today. Clean, clear and fresh....

We'll see.....

Feel tired today, am getting another ulcer on the other side of my mouth now. What the hell is that all about???

Had two banana's, then 1/3 hour later two peaches.
Going to have a banana, brazil nut milk smoothie now.

Ugh...need to go lay down.

Hey S...yeah that is interesting...I might try that one day...the headaches just come in spurts now, they arent hanging around for long. Hopefully that symptom will fade out soon!

so its been about 2 weeks now, and I feel a bit better...had one day of feeling flat, weak, tired. Two people are eating more raw since I started. Its funny how people follow on when they see something working like this!

I am still taking it slow. But feeling good!

I am having a stuggle with wanting to make gourmet food, and just eating simply. I will figure that out eventually. It feels better to just eat simple, but then the way we have always eaten is as though it is a big ceremony type thing. I know that food is important, but we do overdo it. I know that.

Its an interesting journey this one thats for sure.... laugh

Hey virtualmeg, I am new here and just wanted to say hi. I have read through your journal and I just wanted to say that you are inspiring to me. You sound like such an amazing compassionate soul and I empathise with your journey in life.

I have had 5 daughters and my second was stillborn at home also....she would be 11 this year.

It is not often that you hear a woman with such an amazing attitude as yours after being through something like this, and I honour you deeply for it.

All my friends tell me that I am amazing to have dealt so well with the death of my baby, but I say no, I just chose to, as I knew I would have more children and I already had one daughter who needed me. It is a conscious choice to learn and grow from it.

The strength of women astounds me at times. I am so so proud to be a woman and to hear of journeys such as yours!

I wish you a beautiful birth and much love.
Hope it is ok that I have said all this. I just felt to, and I hope you are ok with it.

Love to you

You are truly a sweetheart BerryBliss, thankyou for your beautiful words Smiley

Next journal entry........

Have had a headache every night for the past three nights. I took panadol for all of them.

Days are ok, I feel good, but nights are hard. Feel anxious, nervous, emotional, its scary. Reminds me of the hardest time in my life, feels similar and scares me as much. I did get through it though....I just don't know why this is happening. I was expecting some detoxing physically but not emotionally!!!

Cannot drink enough water! I think I must have had 4 litres yesterday, my body just won't let me stop. I drink and drink and drink, but feel mildly dehydrated still. Is this common?

Have discovered something sweet that I am so in love with!
Medjool dates with macadamia paste driblled inside! Aw Yum!!! That'll keep the sweet cravings at bay for a while!

Any advice anyone can give for the above issues I would be so grateful for!

Thankyou
yours in the learning...
Beau xoxo

I love the raw ones better than rice now. They are so much more refreshing and light. And my 5 year old loves them too! I've actually got 4 packets of seaweed in my cupboard for when inspiration strikes. Smiley

thankyou BB....Smiley

I am still trying to slow up this process a bit. I cannot emotionally handle a full-on change...just need it to feel gentle.

Having said that.....I have been so emotional. Feeling on the edge of tears 80% of the time. I 'feel' everything so much more. I feel very alive. I have moments of 'zinging'.

I have also been getting some pretty intense headaches. Two nights in a row so far.

My sense of smell has increased. I never thought that would happen! Anyone else experienced this? The environment around me glows and vibrates. So my vision has sharpened as well!

I had 3 squares of tofu last night....fried, and some broccoli and carrot steamed for 3 minutes....the vegies were ok...but the tofu made me sick. My gut was gurgling at about midnight. I overdid it, as I was missing warm food. Oh please let the cravings go! I don't need them!

I am telling people that I am 'fasting'. So they leave me alone. So far so good. My man has said that he doesnt want me getting sick.....oh how our lifes conditioning blinds us!!!

Thats all for now I think. Just needed to vent a bit. arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ok...I'm done Smiley

I have seen this too. It will be very interesting. I feel a bit cynical too though I must say. Am not a huge fan of the media  Undecided
