Heyy Lulu, well done, day one down. Have a good sleep tonight.... relax and give your self some relax time tomorrow, 3x per day, not at meal times........... Keep it up those thoughts away with kindness to yourself too.
Hi Erthmum I have not met you but after reading your post i understand a little of what you are experiencing. I found that some other ways to renew and restore the strained ties with my family, as they were growing up I put little 'love notes' or cards with words of encouragement into their lunch boxes, or under/on their pillow, in their shoes or other places they would find it and be surprised by it - i did this even when my son was a highschool till he was in year 12, I also did this for the girls through their school years till they were in year 12. I also made, as Raw Sensation has done, special times just for him and for the other two girls in the family, once per week we would go out for dinner or to a park for a picnic or to a show or something that they would enjoy and shared it with them on an individual basis. Some times we did not talk much we just enjoyed each others company. This paid great dividends. Now they are 30 plus. My son still kisses his Dad on the head (bald) and i always get a great big hug from him, he is also close to his sisters. He also comes to me with his problems and asks me for advice about his little daughter as she grows up and otherthings that are "too big for him". Life is wonderful really, it always gives you the opportunity to build again ..... we think we have blown it but even when they are older there is always time to build friendships with them... it is never too late to Just love them for who they are ....... Our relationships are not perfect but they know i love them and thats what counts
Good on you Waterberry, handled very well. I am sure it was a very difficult time for you - but your light shone through and his darkness was quite obvious - congrats - now back to nurturing your body and unwinding - hope you enjoyed your bath.

Dry skin brushing ...... my you are brave. I have always used the shower with the brush. Maybe I'm chicken dont know which is better only which is gentler. I generally dont use soap or body cleansers though because i body brush - thinking about it, it's not really necessary! you are probably cleaner than if you use soap
Hi Lulu Tahini is purchased either from the supermarket in the spreads section/healthfood section or in a health food store. I like the hulled type that is light in colour and not as strong in flavour as the un hulled type which is very dark brownish black colour, the unhulled is better for you, but tooo strong for my palette. Ahhh at last some thing that you dont have to make that is ok raw!!
Man you did 10 days on water.......wow! If you can do the proposed fast with kids you are amazing... cooking as well! Will write to encourage you on......on.... and onwards to healing. I have started making my crackers - will add the lemon and the SALT - a must have as far as i am concerned!!! Will take a pic of them for you to see, thanks for the tip about making them too thin. Keep up the RAWSOME task of being a Mum and healing yourself frangipanni
spent the night cold again last night, the only thing i can conclude is that i am not eating enough when i get cold like that - i get the shivers from the inside. Dinner comprised of: juice 4 small carrots juice 3 stalks celery 1/4 avo bit of coconut (from baby coconut) 1/2 juice lemon a few stalks of coriander pinch salt into the blender and blend blend blend - delicious - oh i warmed it slightly as i am so cold - temp would not have reached 40 degrees
found a couple of flax crackers i had bought and forgotten in the back of the cupboard ate them, 6 maca nuts and 2 tbsp sultanas - and into bed........ I get home late at night, after work on Tuesday and thursdays, and have to get up at 5:45 to get to work at 7 on Wednesdays and fridays. I unpacked from being away i ended up eating dinner at about 9:15pm not ideal really!
Did not sleep at all well last night, not enough of it as i had sooo much trouble going to sleep an could not figure out why then i woke up for a pee and was not warm enough - new sensation for me - i have been hot for ages - yayy good bye to hot flushes. Brekky this am: last bit of coconut juice one banana and some only just ok strawberries blended added flax seeds - not too bad a taste. I am really scraping the bottom of the barrel (fridge) now - time to desperately shop.
Skin today on my hands looks good, spots have healed just a bit of redness left - much much better. - wish the rest of it would go - tummy etc. Funny when i am cold like that, the spots on my legs fade, may be it is a type of detoxing
Aiming for a walk today, babysitting so have asked for a pram - baby and i will both enjoy the time together. Might go through the botanic gardens or around the Torrens (am in Adelaide). Lovely day for it crisp air and sunshine. Wish it would rain though not enough wettness here.......
Forgot to add, after eating the chapatis with all of that delightful butter, i had a hot flush ( derr wonder why) and continued to have them, I dont have them if i eat cooling type foods .........
Hi Tora Chan, Yukkkky - definately something that i would not want to eat......... did the coconut have a useby date? My fruit and veg guy gets them in for me and they have a use by date on them, the last one i bought had a useby date some time late July. May be you can check for that I was speaking to Raw Pleasure who said she was going to check on Sunshine coconut guy to see if he was still doing the coconut thing, she might be able to help you get some Aussie ones? regards frangipanni
Last night i had some fish then i had my salad, not sure what i enjoyed the most. I was making some chapati for hubby and they just looked sooo nice i ate four of them hot and smothered them in butter - and guess what my right hand has broken out a bit today........ sigh Shows me it is either the butter or the flour. The chapati had sesame and linseeds and oil in them as well. I have posted my eats for yesterday and today on my journal.
Salad was of: butter lettuce 4 leaves large outside leaves, grated carrot (1) , chopped celery (2x25mm stalks), onion 1/4 red salad), small amount of red caps (dont like it much so have it for coulour) sultanas (cuppla tablespoons), avo 1/4, lebanese cuc (one whole), and ate the whole lot with my favourite dressing then had some fudge. I have written my dressing recipe below you may want to try it. Dressing to die for: 1 heaped tbsp tahini 1 tbsp olive oil tsp honey (or to taste) Salt to taste garlic (if you like) juice of one lemon juice of 1/2 orange shake it like mad and pour over a salad what ever amount you like.
This a.m. had smoothie with lots of greens in it - greens always always makes me run to the loo heaps both ways! carrot juice 2 carrots apple juice 1 1/2 apples a few pieces rock melon about 1/8th roccy (canteloup) celery juice 2 stalks cucumber juice 1/2 lebanese banana 1 ran out of linseeds finised off the baby spinach about 1large handfull 3 dates. blend blend blend serve delish....

with dressing not fully raw - 1tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp balsamic and honey and salt. Delicious bit oily though.
Hi Lulu, What a lovely salad! mine is much the same love simple salads, the quicker the better no time for too much fuss, I have forgotten to include mushrooms, used to eat heaps of them, they are delicious, thanks for that, what a good idea to take pics of what you eat. I will try too so that we can share pics and ideas. Dinner: Last night i had some fish then i had my salad, not sure what i enjoyed the most. My Hubby is a keen fisherman and because the fish is sooooo fresh and clean i thought i would include that in my diet 1x per week and to reassure him that his work is not without gratitude, though he is fully understanding what i am doing and supports it.....Last week they caught tuna and he insisted that i eat some to try RAW - i said that i was not on that type of RAW diet LOL :crazy:but tried some any way - not the type of thing i'd like to fit into my RAW diet
I was making some chapati for hubby yesterday and they just looked sooo nice i ate four of them hot and smothered them in butter - and guess what my right hand has broken out a bit today........ sigh Shows me it is either the butter or the flour. The chapati had sesame and linseeds and oil in them as well. I have posted my eats for yesterday and today on my journal. The conference is late July, so will keep you posted.... Frangipanni
Last night was cold again, I had to have the electric blanket on to keep warm. Last week i was cold at night for two nights .... I woke up and had to shower i was so cold and still could not get warm. Cant say that i recall being 'cold from the inside like this ever. Not sure why so ate some more warming foods such as nuts etc and coco nut juice to keep warm.
Hi KK, skin brushing is most beneficial when you are detoxing, as the skin eliminates a huge amount of 'stuff' at any time let alone when you are detoxing, all that excess debris will be brushed from your body and as the circulation is stimulated you will look for a brush each day. Oh by the way, when you first get your brush, they may not have instructions with it but it needs to be soaked for 24 hours - or it will be like nails! . Remember - take it easy and softly softly at first particularly if you have sensitive skin. frangi
Hi LuLu, I fondly recall when i could not even go to the toilet alone - and still when i have my little grandson he says 'you dont mind if i cum in wiv ya nan?' He's such a sweetie.
Have you visited the Dr Fuhrman website or read any info of his? He specializes in treating auto immune diseases, but the only way to get any real info is to become a member, I have been a member and dont think i will renew membership though the information he gives is very good.
The information that he gives is based upon the information that you can discover by reading the 'masters' of healthy eating - Bragg, Lust, Ehret, Jensen etc. They pretty well all say the same as you are doing now, fasting, water, juices, exercise and a raw diet with plenty of variety.
My son is a chinese medicine practitioner with 10 years uni behind him and he says "Mum even chinese medicine is hit and miss with treating psoraisis, the best thing to do for your skin is to do what you are doing.' and that is 'going raw'. I was so encouraged to hear this. He is also attending an autoimmune disease seminar shortly so will bring the good news to me he says. I am pleased to share this with you if you would like?
Funny thing last week i found i was unbelievably cold as well, I woke at night shivering two nights in a row. I guessed that i had either not had enough to eat or needed some fruits or nuts with some more fats in them.... Last night i had to have the electric blanket on to keep warm. I have not been like this ever that i can recall where the cold seems to come from the inside... Up till going raw i have had the opposite problem with the proverbial hot flashes.....55. I started menopause 7-8 years ago - thank goodness that is all over and done with! Since being raw my body seems to be cooling right down. With chinese medicine My son said that my body was too hot - which in naturopathic terms means too acidic, he said that i should not eat any acid foods etc and avoid things like onion and garlic - ohhh noooo I just love them. Since being raw i have not stopped all of them but minimised how much i eat of them.
I have set aside 24th July to fast so will follow your blog and encourage you in your fast. We are doing it the hard way but with psoraisis there really is no other way............ for a cure.
Monday breaky blueberry flax seeds, almond milk, banana and date smoothie - yummmmy. I have done a cost analysis on almond milk to normal milk - using normal south Aust almonds if i make 1 litre of almond milk it costs near the same price as normal milk and is yummy as a "warmed hot chocolate". If you need the recipe i can post it for you?
Will make the flax crackers when i go home, I am away at present hence the time to blog a lot.... this is another long one too.... frangipanni
Found them -thanks, yes she is certainly looking really good and her skin has improved - brilliant. If that is the one comment I hear is that my skin looks so much better and has improved so much..... lovely to hear when you're a granny who is supposed to be getting older and wrinklier.... yet is being told she looks younger and her skin looks better! :yahh:Will keep on Raw as the "Rawards" are greater than skin deep....
