It is strange how empty a liar can make you feel. Perhaps worse are the questions the lies bring up. Worse still may be the refusal to answer. I am going to give myself the gift of God's promises and the health 1 can only receive thru eating the amazing fruits and veg He's made us. He never lied to the Israelites- why would He lie to me? Love

Today i've had the juice of 2 grapefruits, a light gs (found a few romaine leaves in the cheese drawer of the fridge), and soup using the mix i made + warmed water. There are 2 cookies left- i might make some nice cream to fill them with. Going to make a pilaf for supper tonight w/cauliflower as a base and some shrooms, caps, and cabbage. Maybe i'll use some sesame oil, ground sesame seeds, garlic, and lime juice for a dressing... Love

Rough day, raw-wise. When i open the fridge and there does't seem to be any produce i panic. I forget about the basket of grapefruit and limes; that there's 2 kiwis, some caps, and a wee head of broccoli in the crisper; that there's a whole container of shrooms, almonds, and walnuts toward the back; I forget the blueberries and mulberries and cranberries and flax, sesame, and pumpkin seeds in the freezer. It slips my mind that there are raisins, dried cranberries, shredded coconut, olive and coconut oils, cocoa butter, vanilla, mesquite, and carob powders and various herbs and spices. I've become used to the sound of the dehydrator and so forget the cookies steadily "cookin'" away for the past 2 days! I look in the hutch and behold! 2 of the 3 bags of bananas are ripe as well as the pears! And i stand there and breathe- grab bananas, limes, cranberries, water pitcher, and blender and blend like mad. I drink it and it is delicious, filling, and satisfying. Now, i am thinking about the kona macs that will be here by the end of the week; i am thinking about our garden and it's resident spider earning her keep and the soldier bug and the lacewings i found there today and about how AWESOME our own produce will taste. I am realizing that i haven't answered the question for this week's WT article and how good that would be for me. I am calm. Love

Made cohen's corn tortilla for lunch/supper. Filling was shroom/broccoli/orange caps marinated in olive oil, lime juice, taco seasoning, and salt. Also made apple-cinnamon fruit leather and almond/apricot/orange cookies. Oh, also made a dry soup mix w/leftover filling. Not enough produce for juicing and 0 greens. Rather stressful. Love

4-6 ounces fresh sweet cherry juice 4-6 ounces fresh strawberry juice seltzer or club soda pour 2-3 oz of each juice into 2 tall glasses using more cherry for a sweeter soda. Fill glasses the rest of the way w/seltzer. Serve. The foam makes it sort of phosphate-ish, but i'm gonna work on that... Love

Juice was yum, sweet, and green: 1 head romaine, 1 bunch celery, 1 zucchini, 1 green caps, 1 yellow caps, 6 carrots. Also today, cashew yogurt w/strawberries, chili- that i still had from sunday. I am now thinking of making cherry juice and mixing it w/bubbly water for an italian soda! Mmmmm... Love

When i was younger, i spent a summer in MN at the lake. There was a family of feral cats who adopted me. The queen was preg and adored laying in my lap being loved on. Her trust brought the trust of her current litter- originally, they'd run off into the brush when i came around. The last member of the family was a tom w/1 ear. The other appeared to have been lost to frostbite. His trust took the longest to gain. @ the x, i was a veg and animal rights nazi but, because of that gorgeous family, i found myself down lakeside fishing. As soon as the perch were off the hook, they'd be carried- or dragged, in the case of the kittens- to be eaten. It got to the point that all would come running when i walked out the house! The best vacation ever.
