Had Patenaude's nori rolls & sauce for supper: avo, shred carrot/beet/cabbage, julienne cucumber, chopped lettuce... YUM! Everyone liked the fudge- Ian & Ry had 2 pcs each & hub had 4 or 5! Want to track down the infamous coconut fudge recipe that killed my vitamix & try it in the fp- gulp! But it was so good! My friend was asking me about veganism, spec how to defeat her dairy dependency, so I handed her The Live Food Factor. She tells me, "I have no intention of going raw." me: "I'm not telling you to- this book has an excellent section on dairy." So, yesterday I called her to thank her for some books she ordered for me. She: "I'm reading the book.," me: "Oh, what do you think?" she: "I LOVE IT- I'm 2/3 of the way thru it! I ordered my own copy." me: "Take yr time. Don't rush. Its a lot of info & I don't want you to choke!" I had turned her on to gs by 1- making her one & 2- buying her Greens For Life. Obviously, I'm super excited for her... I hope she does incredibly on her journey! Got to ride my stationary bike for 20 minutes last night & did a bit of stretching. There are 2 nanas waiting patiently in my blender to be blended w/parsley & fr bbs. Later lil' doagies...

Ooo, Patchy-cat: new appliances make me supah giddy! DH just got me a 7c cuisinart fp... & on sale! Which makes it even better ;-) Yr #s are so close to 811, you must be tickled! I've found that certain things I didn't like in their cooked/dead forms I LOVE in their raw/living forms. IE: beets, olives, coconut... I've been craving coco water like crazy so DH is supposed to track down a case or 2 for my 2nd raw anniversary... Congrats on yr journey! Just the decision is courageous!

I am f-f-freezing... I've noticed I'm very sensitive to the sun's warmth in this 2nd month. Since it is so grey & chilly, as soon as the sun peaks thru the clouds I get in the rays & try to stay until they disappear again. Made carrot cake from my juice pulp the other day. It was ready today so I cut it in half, frosted half w/apricot-cashew butter & fed it to the fam (who loved it) & am making the other half into biscotti. Made a new dressing for my salad last night from Patenaude's Sunfood Cuisine. Going to make the fudge today. We're trying to eat up all the produce since we'll be out of town for a few days. I want to have snacky things to take w/us. No WD this week due to the trip- will try to be patient until next WD. I'm going back to sleep for a bit... Its 4-ish am!

Here's yesterday's eats: 4 nana/flax pancakes (a la RawGosia) w/apricot butter, 1/4 c nut loaf (variant of Talifero's), 1/3c Amsden's savory herb stuffing, 1/2c Maerin's summer cole slaw, 1/2c Mrs. Ackerley's cranberry sauce, 2 small slices pumpkin pie w/a dollop of mac/grape juice cream (the last few were from Cohen's book). Though I no longer celebrate it, we hosted my parents for a "big supper," what everyone else would call "Christmas dinner". Hub cooked a turkey & I made nut loaf to share. I made a cooked cranberry sauce for them & a raw to share. I cooked green beans for them & made cole slaw to share. My father brought his oyster stuffing & I offered Amsden's. My parents brought cookies & apple pie so I made the pumpkin pie & cream. Oh, my mom made sweet potatoes & rolls, but I didn't bother w/a raw counterpart because I didn't want 1, & there were only 4 adults & 4 kiddos & enough food for a small militia. I made my plate & showed it to hub- "that looks great! It looks real..." LOL, meaning it looked traditional... lol. My parents & hubby had my stuff & cooked (their poor tums!) along w/2nds. My father LOVED the cranberry sauce & enjoyed the other stuff. However, my parents were blown away by the pumpkin pie! I think they were a bit worried about my diet before so to be able to show them the possibilities of a raw diet helped. Granted, I don't eat like that on a daily basis & made glamorous gourmet things to share but they know the importance I place on greens in my daily eats. Now, today is WD#6, & I'll be posting that later. I'm not expecting colossal #s but I would love to be surprised! I'll be back :oD
