Its good to read about your adventure. Im glad you are doing what is right for you.
I just wanted to tell you something that helped me when fasting and on vipassana meditation camps and that is.. try not to let the boredom agitate you, try to focus on being thankful for the quiet and calm solitude moments and to focus on showing equanimity to every situation and emotion that is arising for you. I think that the more peaceful your mind can be the more healing your body will be able to achieve. These tips have gotten me through many minor personal ordeals, so for some reason I felt compelled to share them with you. (Sorry if your not interested)
I am keeping my calories up to almost normal so technically I'm not fasting. I am just giving my digestion a break and remineralising with heaps of greens. However, I have cut out a couple of things that I do normally include in my raw diet including sea salt and avocado which may be part of the reason I had a headache yesterday.
Ive been having lots of peaches and pears in my smoothies today and lots of endive, spinach, carrot tops, warragul, cos lettuce, basil, parsley and celery.
ive traveled a fair bit in asia and ive only seen a couple of toilets that were really gross. bout the same as in australia, ive been in a few australian public toilets in my time that were pretty rank. i dont think it has much to do with the design, in fact your hand doesnt contact your butt if you use a hose in a squatt toilet, and your butt isnt sitting on a seat which may be germy.
Try to listen to your body and rest (if you can) when your body is asking for it. I had a headache yesterday cos I started a green smoothie feast, and my body is detoxing (from eating salt and ocassional non-raw and non-organic things). You have reminded me that my headache was small incomparison with the detox symptoms I had when I started on raw. All I can say is just keep at it cos it does get better. I tried about a zillion times to have an all raw day when I first started out (about a year and a half ago) and I used to think I was about to keel over and die by lunchtime. Dont let the transition time put you off of your goal to be raw, I think that after the initial transition phase it all just gets easier and easier. I feel liberated now to know that I wont be incapacitated if for some reason I am stuck somewhere with only an apple to eat - I like that feeling.
Enjoy your rest Suay. Great job with the gardening. Yeah, blended rockies, had my first one yesterday (I had blended w/melon before and not liked it so I had never tried to blend a rockie) and it was awesome, I think that blending it totally changed the flavour.
Wow Berry!!!! You look totally gorgeous. You are definately goddess-ified. I think your messy hair is still fanstatic. Good on you for posting your pics, you will inspire alot of people.
