DAY 15

Food
I lost my appetite a bit last week and have been feeling repulsed towards some foods (namely olive oil, carrots, mushrooms and pepitas). I started off having a big veggie juice each morning but now I am much more exited about fresh apple juice with ginger and fejoa. I have been having big green garden salads or sprouts for lunch and have been snacking on fruit and nuts. For dinner I have been eating either a fruit and nut/seed creation, a couple of avocados or a small salad. I am excited about persimons, having had my first one for the season today, mmm.

Body
I suffer from incapacitating PMS, so last week I had alot of stomach and back pain, dihorreah and bloating. This week I have been getting the occassional minor headache and short bouts of lethargy. I have a couple of ulcers in my mouth and my dematitis has flared up on my hands. I have felt a bit of phlem always in the back of my throat but it doesn't quite want to come out. However, generally I have had heaps of energy, especially when I wake up in the morning. This week I have continued cycling to Uni most days (20kms) and this has felt good.

Mind
I am feeling really confident about being raw. At other times I'd tried to do one day raw and had had to cave in to a 'filling' cooked food by dinner time. I am very glad that I have made it this far and it seems to be getting easier as I go. I read Vicotria Boutenko's '12 Steps' book last week and it is now practically by bible however, I have recently started 'Fit for Life' as this was highly recommended by a raw food friend. I have been really busy with my Uni research and have had to drop most of my other committments but am feeling like going on raw food is a simple and easy way to say thankyou to my body, my mind and the world for allowing me to consentrate on this one endevour so exclusively this year.

Till next time,

Perilla Power

Hello to all you lovely raw pleasurists. My name is Perilla, I live in Adelaide and today is the 15th day of my 100% raw food adventure.

I was so glad to discover your vibrant and supportive raw cyber community whose forums have provided me with reasurance, information and countless food ideas over the last two weeks, that I thought I would start an online journal on your website. I hope this journal will allow others new to the raw food adventure to find comfort in similarity/diversity of experience and allow me to reflect back on the positive changes manifested in both my body and my mind over the coming months.

Much love to all those purifying themselves for a peaceful planet.

Perilla Power
