Sporatic update time!
Ok well ive been jumping back and forth with raw again, raw for a few days, junk for a few days.. i think its the stress of working again ontop of being a full time mummy.. yuck.. I decided to go back to work as a hobby, but now im just overrun with classes.. *sigh* oh well, ill keep it up for now... Also, last week i stopped breastfeeding.. ive been feeling sad and a bit guilty, but i tried to give ella the last of my booju (kos i was gonna explode lol) about 4 days ago, but she just wasnt interested which actually made me feel a bit better (well, maybe not my boobs lol). Milk has dried up yesterday so theres no turning back now, but im proud that i went for over 14months.. yay me!
Ok, so today i had a massssssive work out (spin class that simon took.. god he's evil haha), and then an hour in the gym. Ive had a banana and a smoothie (frozen banana (maybe 2 small?), water, lacuma, caigu powder, nopal powder, maca, carob and cocoa powder), 6 dates and because i didnt soak the dates it was a bit bitter so i added 1 tblsp of dark agave. Simon had a glass and i had 2 glasses shared with lea-ella... was gooooood. I also had a cup of green tea with jasmin. For dinner im going to try to have a salad and snack on fruit in the meantime (got some killer mandarines yestreday...yuuuuumy) Also taking some innerhealth plus and echinaccia (because my immune system is a bit shot atm)
Well Ella wants to play so look slike I'm back on the clock haha I'll try to update a bit more often..
luv kt xox

I'm going to regurgitate pretty much everythin thats been said here haha
**Warm up foods to room temp or just above by using a dehydrator, warm bowls or a sink full of hot water. **Keep fruit out of the fridge as much as possible and try to take vegies out of fridge before using them (not practicle sometimes but if u remember it helps lol) ** I use heavier winter foods (like pumpkin and zuchinni) because i find them 'warmer' then summber fruit and veg ** exercise **sleep in a warm bed **make luuuurve (o atleast get some cuddles into ur day lol) ** warm oil put on your body after a shower is nice (coconut, cocoa etc) before u rug up.. plus it makes my skin like silk ** Spices like paprika etc help to dialute the blood vessles which means more blood pumping into your extremities which makes u feel warmer (or so ive heard lol) ** Also found that cocoa powder makes me feel warmer so I treat myself to chocolatey treats ** i do use warm herbal teas also, but thats a personal choice (and im my opinion much better then downing a big mac or somethin lol)... ginger and lemon tea is nice and keeps colds at bay
hmmm i know theres others but im having a brainfreeze lol luv kt xox

PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / RAW Chat / Re: can you overcome candida on raw?

Patricia - With nuts, i heard that there can be fungus (?) in some nuts (besides peanuts) which can cause or atleast encourage candida so u may be onto something there lol
Has anyone used coconut oil for candida? i know it goes against the low fat theory, but ive heard amazing results by having 3tblsp raw coconut oil a day so am going to incorporate that into my diet too... xox

PleasureTalk - The Discussion Area / Off Topic Chat / neautralising computer radiation..?
|

Hi all,
Just a random question - Simon gave me a beauuuuuuuuuuuutiful bunch of flowers the other day.. and I know computers emit radiation, but i put the flowers on the kitchen bench (which means its about a foot (if that) away from my computer screen)... I cant beleive whats happened! in just 2-3 days the flowers closest to the screen have wilted BIG TIME and the opposite side are still beautiful and vibrant! I've always known that comps give out radiation, but i didnt realise it was to this extent! Makes me wonder what being so close to a computer every day is doing to skin etc.. I've heard that putting caactus next to a computer can help to absorb some of the radiation? also quarts crystals...
any ideas anyone? its kind of freaked me out a bit!
luv kt xox

haha funny answers My mother always told me... 1)if i have a problem, fix it! if i cant fix it now, put it on the shelf until the answer comes.. then fix it! lol 2) always think for yourself (sounds obvious, but its amazing how often people regurgitate what they heard on the news/from a friend/in a gossip mag/from "insert health professional here" .. without thinking to question wether its the truth or, at least, the truth for them...) 3) "be in awe of the ocean, gaze in wonder at the stars" 4) that she loves me ... awwwww... ok .. wheres that lil sickly-sweet-throw-up-face-emoticon-guy?! lol ahhhh.. my mummy.. couldn't live without her.. luv kt xox
