2  Go RAW! The Testimonial Section! / RAW Journals - Your RAW Experiences / cravings grounding myself on: Monday 21 July, 2008
hi guys, i feel like a little bit of cooked food tonight like potato to ground me, i hardly ever eat cooked food, i dont need to regularly but tonight i really feel like it will help ground me and i can continue being raw. is that ok or is it a good idea to pass through the craving because that would mean i become even stronger being a rawrie. hope this question makes sense. like i havnt been raw for that long (few months this time round) so maybe its a transition thing maybe its  the fact that i live in a suburbia/city'ish world and need to come back down to earth once in a while.

I appreciate any comments and help in advance
Thankyou
love jessie

Hey everyone!
firstly id like to express how happy i am to be on this raw journey with you guys.

i just have a dehydrator question, is the maximun temperature 40 degrees or 45 when cooking raw? i have three settings on mine, 35, 55 and 75, would it make much of a difference if i use the 55 degree setting? is it that the loss of nutrients increases with the rise in temperature and therefore 55 degrees would not lose many nutrients compared to really cooking it? (im drying bananas at the mo)

 afro    thanks!

 rolleyes
hi everyone, i went back to raw foods about a month ago, i was raw for a while about a year back, i lost too much weight and became underweight, its my only issue with raw foods, i get sooo much energy and have to go for a big run everyday, naturally with the excercise and the rarified diet i lose weight, its happening again, im at a good weight now i dont want to lose any but i am, i have to run coz otherwise i wont sleep at night coz id have way too much energy. any ideas on what i can do? something i should add to my diet? i eat lots of dates and nuts and fruit and coconuts and make wholesome salads, adding seeds, nuts, hummus or other raw oily dips, avo and tahini, i try to bulk it up. i read somewhere once theres something i can buy from the pharmacy that you make into a smoothy and it helps u put on weight, i wonder if its raw... would anyone be able to offer and advice?

Thank you  laugh
